It's A...

GIRL!!!!!
We are thrilled to announce that we are having a baby GIRL in May 2010!! We had our ultrasound today, Merry Christmas to us!! We feel so blessed to have been able to see her cuteness already!! Everything looked wonderful on the ultrasound so we are relieved and very grateful!!
My family, the Ehat's, had a Christmas Eve dinner and so we waited to announce to them then. It was fun having each of the 6 older grandchildren open a gift that said, "The next Woolery BABY is....a GIRL!!!" We had Drew open the last box and it had pink baby rattles and the GIRL announcement! It was fun to hear everyone's reaction!! Here's a picture of the cards and everyone's guesses!! Thanks everyone for being good sports...especially my friends and sista-cousins who were anxiously waiting to hear!!! Silas's family found out right after our appointment since they live in CA and most likely wouldn't have told my family!!
We are SOOOOOOO excited! We have a name picked out but now that it's real just making sure that's what we want for sure!! I can't wait to meet her in 4 months!!

Traditions of Old! (Who you calling 'old'?)

I love this time of year! I just read my cousin's blog and my brother and sister-in-law's blog about some Christmas Traditions! So it's prompted this blog entry of my own! I LOVE all the traditions my family has done for the past several years. It's always fun to think back when I was the little girl, dressed as Mary, the Angel, or the Shepherd for our Nativity re-enactment with all the Scadlock Aunts, Uncles and cousins! This year has been another year filled with many fun traditions that are just that...TRADITIONS!

This year it all started with our family ornament exchange. We each rotate who we get to find and buy that PERFECT ornament for! We try to find one that represents something that has happened during the last year for them! Some years are easier than others but it's always so exciting to find that 'one'! Then all the memories that come when it's time to hang all the ornaments each year and look at the date written on the bottom of each!
I have my first one's dated from 1985!
Silas' parents were with us this year for the exchange so that was extra special. Unfortunately, for some reason I didn't get any pictures of Silas or Drew or myself with our ornaments this year (I'm on it), but have some others to show.

Cheese boy!! Love that krinkly nose smile!!!!

Getting ready to open his ornament...oh, yes then I had to help, hence no picture of the ornament!!

Saige with hers! First year in preschool! ABC-123!!

Rylie-our little soccer girl!!

Cole-Big Brother!

Barry opening his ornament. It was a heart with 7 NEW by-passes! We are blessed to have Barry still with us after his heart attack in April!!

Next is our Annual trip to the Festival of Trees! I personally have been every year for as long as I can remember! This year we did not do a tree in the festival but maybe again next year! It's fun to see all the trees--large and small, BIG and LOUD, humble and sweet! Most have a story behind why they are donated or someone they are dedicated to! I always cry at the festival for some reason or another! This year Jamie and Kendall were the recipients of a tree! Someone special to them bought it for them! It was fun to be there when they saw it for the first time!

Our little family--plus the extra little girl in the background! Ha! It was crowded so getting a picture without anyone else was hard!!

Kendall, Jamie and the boys (covered) standing by their tree! It's very pretty.

One of my many favorites!! Love, LOVE, LOVE the black and white!!! So cute!!

A closer look!! SEE how darling it is!! Oh-I'm gong to have to 'copy' it someday when it's time to buy new decor for my tree at home!

Another good one...with my ADORABLE boys!!

Place Your Bets!

So, I'm 18 1/2 weeks (look like I'm 30 1/2 weeks) and we get to find out what this little baby growing inside me is on CHRISTMAS EVE....can you say "best Christmas gift ever!!" Well, go ahead, because that's what every one's been saying!!

As tradition would have it, I've set up a poll on the sidebar of my blog for you to cast your vote! Is this a baby GIRL or a baby BOY!!!??? You have until Christmas Eve @ 9:00 am to vote!
(That's when my appointment is!)
Go ahead and leave a comment as well unless you want your vote to be anonymous!!

September 2009

As usual, September started with a bang...day one is Silas' birthday! We had a fun time going out to eat at Chuck-a-Rama (one of Sigh's "faves"and the site of one of our first dates.) It was fun having Drew with us and spending the time together as a family. The big 3-8!! Wow, I can't believe I'm married to someone who is SO old!! :) I guess that makes me old, too!! It was fun giving him presents and then having birthday cake with my family at Sunday dinner a few days later!!
Happy Birthday Silas!

Gotta love the scones, right?

Little Buddly enjoying his dinner or at least making a mess of it!!

The one present he REALLY wanted..guess where it still is??!! Yep, in the box! hehehe!

My attempt at decorating a cake...I quite enjoy doing it but need to practice a little more, but it sure was tasty!!!!

September also brought us Kendall and Jamie's twin boys!! Barely, before they were born, Jill, Val, my mom, Jamie's mom and sister-in-laws, and I gave her a double family baby shower. Jamie had been put on 'house arrest' for several weeks prior and so we had the shower right in their clubhouse and had both families attend!! I hope the shower wasn't what threw her into the complications that led to the boys' early arrival 6 days later!!! She looked amazingly beautiful and so cute even though we all know how uncomfortable she was feeling!! I had so much fun making the diaper cakes and organizing it with so much help!! Thanks to everyone who helped and of course, those who came and gave Jamie and Kendall such wonderful things to help them out with not just one but TWO baby boys!!

The boys, Daxton and Jacoby Ehat, were born the morning of September 17, 2009 in Provo, Utah!! They were 7 weeks (I think) early. Daxton was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and Jacoby was 5 lbs. 11 ozs. I was there with my parents and Jamie's parents when they were born. We were waiting in the lobby to hear and my dad got anxious so he walked down the hall and a nurse came out of a room. It happened to be just the room where Kendall and the babies were....so we all rushed down to the door to listen! They had just been born and were in the room being cleaned and weighed, etc. We could hear them crying, so cute!! Then we were able to see them wheeled across the hall to the NICU where they stayed for a few weeks! They are home now and have been for a while! They are so stinkin' cute! I'll post more current pictures later but here are some others for now.

Radiant and glowing Mommy in Waiting!!

The Diaper Cakes: Baby A, Brothers, and Baby B!

Sweet Dylann Baby...only a few weeks old!!

The morning of...Kendall in his get-up!!

Happy and proud daddy!!!

I wasn't allowed in the NICU...boohoo...luckily the boys' crib was next to the window!! That was so hard not being able to hold them for so long!! (It makes me cry even now, jeesh!!)

Okay, so there is September, well most of it! More to come, so ya'll come back now ya hear?!

Catch Up Time!!

So my re-commitment to blogging "weekly" was nearly a month ago...ha, ha, ha!! I 'm so busy napping these days...:), actually, I really am quite busy with numerous things, but I'll have you know that blogging is on my mind. I do want to do it, just need to find the time! So, tonight, while Silas is out on a guys' night date (he, he) I will blog. Because of a time-line and the need to catch up...I'm going way back. So skip these posts if you're not too interested in what happened a few months ago. Just remember for now this is mostly for journaling purposes and those who really truly love us!!
