Santa...

2010

2011

I knew there would be crazy tears this year.
So I really wasn't  picky about what Santa looked like and didn't put too much thought into the kids outfits (hard to believe, I know ;-)
I only cared that you could see both of their faces.

Hoping 2012 is a little less traumatic.

Happy Fall Y'all...

Well we're definitely NOT "y'aller's" in this house.
But we are hoping you're having a fabulous fall.

What a difference a year makes.
Then...

 and now...

First Friends

The twins are going to a first friends class two days a week, for three hours.
Contrary to what this picture may lead you to believe.
Their first day was a success.
I think it's going to be a great year for them and for me.

These little ones are with mom 24/7.
We have no family that babysits  and we hardly get a sitter
(though sweet Audra has watched them a bit this summer and they LOVE her)
so these little ones are VERY attached to mom & dad.
Definitely NOT a bad thing.
But we think it will be good for them to get out a little bit and be exposed to a few more people.

At 15 MONTHS...

MAC AT 15 MONTHS

Waves when she hears the words hi and bye.  It's especially cute when she waves to her brother when she sees him across the room in the morning.  She has the double wave going on too.

Will not sleep in her crib. Loves the pack n play in mom and dad's room.   She takes naps in there and goes to sleep at night in there too. We transfer her for the night when she's asleep.  This actually works out pretty well - cause they tend to wake each other up.

Love her binky and blanket

Is standing on her own and has taken a few steps

Is cutting two more teeth on top totaling 6 teeth

Enjoys giving open mouth kisses

Is all girl - cries when Andrew takes her toys and gets her feelings hurt if he is not 100% loving and kind to her

Is willing to try new foods and likes most foods, at least for a few bites

Love to dance, by swaying her hips from side to side

Still waking up at night

Has decided that sitting in the bath is a thing of the past and stands up 5 minutes after we put her in the tub.  We then have to keep making her sit down until bath time is over

We discovered that Mallory HATES sand. She will not touch it with her feet or hands

Can sign more, all done and sometimes milk

AKC AT 15 MONTHS

Waves when he hears the words hi and bye. He has the double wave going on too.

Is great at going to sleep in his own crib for naps and at night.

Is mostly sleeping through the night

Has started enjoying the binky and blanket a lot the last few weeks. MUCH to Mallory's disappointment as she thinks she needs all binky's and blankets

Is standing on his own

Is drooling like crazy. He must me cutting more teeth, though we can see where.

Is all boy. He loves to tackle and head but Mallory. He thinks this is hysterical. Mallory starts crying.

Is not interested in trying new foods. His daily diet consists mostly of a variety of crackers

He still LOVES swimming. He never get tired of the water and love to splash and splash and splash - which makes holding you in the water is a little difficult at times

He still don't like having too many people hold you. But people are slowly being added to that lis.

He has just had his second hair cut.  He hated every minute of it.  He wouldn't sit in the chair and he wouldn't wear a cape - that made for a very messy/hairy Dad and Andrew.

He bangs his head against the floor when he is made/frustrated

Can sign more and all done

Happy 15 MONTHS TO THESE SWEET, SWEET TODDLERS

To celebrate the day we got together with some of our favorite friends

Cars

are for standing or walking
not driving or sitting

these days...

The problem with cement ...

is that it leaves
BIG RED BUMPS
on your forehead
when you bang your head against the ground in anger or frustration!
