Less is More - Recipe Week - Take 3

Its recipe week over at Less is More.
Chrissie and Mandi are asking us to look back at the last 29 weeks and choose three themes.

Firstly, apologies for the terrible scan - not been able to use the camera and to be honest even if I could have I don't think I would have got a good photo as the weather has been awful this weekend.

Here are the weeks I have chosen:
Week 4 - 3 squares
Week 15 - Embossing
Week 16 - Butterflies

Just For Fun - Black, White, Silver and one other

Over at Just For Fun its Sams final week of colours. She has steadily been adding the colours for us each week, now we can add the final colour. I chose purple!

I have made the ATC I made for last weeks challenge but reversed the embossing. I made the backing paper using alcohol inks.

Here's the ATCs together

Just need to parcel them up to send to Zoe for the swap this month!

Craft Room Challenge - Masking

This fortnights challenge over at Craft Room Challenge is to use "Masking".
It's my cousins birthday this weekend and she will be 40 so I have used my stampendous stamps to mask the back of the card. They are coloured in with promarkers. The numbers are papermania.
Hope she will like it!

Less is More - Things that move

Its theme week over at Less is More and Chrissie and Mandi have challenged us all to show things that move.
I have used a hedgehog stamp that was a freebie on a craft magazine years ago. He is coloured with promarkers. A very quick one layer card!

Just For Fun - Colour month

Its colour month at Just For Fun, over the last few weeks Sam has been asking us to use more colours on our projects. This week she is asking us to use Black, White and Silver.
I have made an ATC this week and used some black and white backing paper. I coloured a piece of metal with black sharpies and then used my CB to emboss the design. I sanded it back to show the silver.

Ruby's Rainbow - Stitching, Faux or Real

Well I'm very very excited today, Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Blog have been asking for new DT members and guess what????

I'm one of them!!!!!

Here's my first DT piece for them, the theme is Stitching and it can be real or faux. I have made my card using faux stitching which is done with a red promarker, cut the letters on my CB and added the backing paper. The hearts and straight line were from a papermania stitching stencil.

Craft Room Challenge - White on White

The current theme over at Craft Room Challenge is "White on White". I have made an ATC which could easily be turned into a card topper.
I stuck on some handmade paper and then added the die cut flower and added gems to it. I found some sticky flower ribbon and added some white eyelets.

Just For Fun - Black and White

This is both of them together

I think I prefer the black and white one!

Less is more - one layer and ink!

Its one layer week again this week at Less is More but this time Chrissie and Mandi are asking us to use ink in a different way than normal.

I have used this months craft stamper free stamp and stamped it with staz-on inks in timber brown, pumpkin and olive green and then used my distress ink re-inker in scattered straw as a watercolour paint and painted the centre of the leaves.

Less is More - Colour Week

Its colour week this week at Less is More and Chrissie and Mandi are asking us to use the colours on our national flag. Mine is the Union Jack so its red, white and blue for me.

I have made a very simple card this week using my in stitches embossing folder and then colouring some prima flowers with distress inks in fired brick and faded jeans. I added a pearl to the centre of the flowers and added the thankyou stamped in faded jeans.

Hope to get round to as many blogs as I can today and tomorrow as I'm off on my hols on Monday!

Piccie isn't the worlds best today - its scanned in mainly because the camera is packed away ready for Monday!

Just For Fun - White on White

This weeks challenge at Just For Fun is "White on White".

I have made a wall hanging from an offcut of mountboard and covered it with sticky backed canvas. I added an embossed piece of card done with my new "in stitches" embossing folder. I made some paper roses and punched some leaves. I found the swirly flourish in my bits and pieces box, then added the white gems. I used my crop-o-dile and added the white eyelets and then threaded through the white ribbon.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Gems

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow - the challenge is to see lots of GEMS on your work.

I'm pretty quick off the mark today mainly because I go on my hols next week and wanted to get the challenge in as soon as I could.

I have made two cards this time.
Top Card - new papermania stamp (bargain 3 for 2 at the moment) coloured with pro markers and lots of gems added.
Bottom Card - Stampendous stamp - Ranunculus Field - coloured with distress inks (peeled paint and worn lipstick) and gems added to the centre of the flowers.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.....

The theme over at Craft Room Challenge is "Summer Holidays" - I have used an old image of beach huts that has been in my stash for such a long time and stamped the craft stamper freebie of the shells and coloured them with pro markers. The background is coloured with broken china and scattered straw distress inks.

This can also be entered into the Try it on Tuesday challenge which is Beach.

Less is More - Feeling Fruity

Its lucky dip week over at Less is More and Chrissie and Mandi are asking if we feel fruity?
Here is my card - I struggled a little with this one. I raided all my stamps and this is all I could find which is an old Craft Stamper freebie coloured with pro markers.
