Just For Fun - Anything Found

Its Thursday so that means its Just For Fun day!

My apologies for being absent from the challenge the last couple of weeks. My hubby has been in hospital and my time has been spent going to work and then to the hospital - not had any time at all to craft. Thankfully he is now back home and recovering well.

Its the final week of re/upcycling challenges. This week its to use anything found be it natural or man made.

I have used a piece of wood that was ready to go to the recycling yard - we have just had a new wooden staircase built.

I have stamped my stampendous agapanthus cluster on the wood and then used my "wood burny tool" thats my technical name for it! to burn the image onto the wood.

Hope this qualifies for this weeks challenge.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Metal

Its challenge time again over at Ruby's Rainbow and this fortnight I have the pleasure of choosing the theme.

I have chosen "Metal".

I have used a mirror I got from IKEA which cost about £1.

Aluminium has been coloured and put through the cuttlebug and sanded back to reveal the original colour, all stuck with strong glue and then leaded window tape used to edge everything.

Before

After

We would love to see how you use metal!

Sparkles Forum Challenge - Remembrance Sunday

The latest challenge over at Sparkles Forum Challenges is "Remembrance Sunday".

I have made a diptych ATC, one side is the famous poem "In Flander's Fields". The other is an image I found of a soldier standing by a grave and some poppies in the foreground.

I have been to the battlefield cemetaries in Belgium and been to the Menin Gate at Ypres and heard the last post played. It moved me to tears to think of all the soldiers that bravely gave their lives for us.

We shall remember them!

Less is More - One Layer Week - Hearts

Its One Layer Week over at Less is More.
This week Chrissie and Mandi have asked us to use hearts.

A very simple card from me this week - I used a stitching template and pierced through the card and then added faux stitching with a red pro marker. I added the sentiment and then 3 small gems.

Just For Fun - Recycle month

Its recycle month over at Just For Fun. This week we are being asked to use books or magazines in our projects.

I have made a bookmark. I made some beads out of an old holiday brochure and put them onto a metal bookmark.

Sparkles Christmas Challenge - Christmas Songs

This month's challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge is Christmas Songs.
I have chosen "Oh Christmas Tree".

I have been out to a craft show today and bought these two stamps from Little Claire. They are both coloured in with promarkers and glamour dust has been added and finished off with some ribbon.

Less is More - Eye Colour

I had a week off from LIM last week - not because I was on holiday or anything - MIL was taken into hospital (again) and it wasn't looking too good at one point. Thankfully she is now on the mend and hopefully coming out of hospital in the next couple of days.

This week Chrissie and Mandi are asking us to use our eye colour in our cards. My eyes are Hazel so thats a brown/green mixture

I have used my Martha Stewart deep edge punch with brown paper and added a few gems in brown and green

Still got to add a sentiment - not sure what to put on it as yet!

Just For Fun - Anything but a card

This weeks challenge at Just for Fun is Anything goes but it has to be anything but a card!

I have used my brand new - just delivered craft stamper freebie stamp and used it on some stampboard which I have had to stick together to make a 2 inch square. I coloured the background with distress inks. Stamped the image with Staz-on and then scraped some of the inks away.
