helen

i'm doing a bit of catching up, considering our little vacation was over a month ago.

but it was so great; we don't want to forget.

i was a little leery of helen georgia considering my best friend came back from her honeymoon deeming it hell in georgia. but her perspective was warped as soon as she hung a left off the interstate and saw her "villa in the woods" only feet away. with the hot tub on the front porch.

but we were pleasantly surprised. it is a great vacation spot for kids, if you enjoy simple things~

like hiking (and seeing lots of lovely things along the way)

i didn't bring my camera for the highlight of the trip ~ tubing down the chattahoochee. charlie even joined us for the 2 hour ride and loved it!

though he would have been thrilled with throwing rocks in the creek all day.

and of course a new playground is always fun.

the kids liked it too...

and since the boys outnumbered the girls (we went with bryan's whole family), we did lots of boy things.

(he has a thing with putting worms on his head. i have no. idea.)

we hung with the cousins...

and head-butted them...

and who says you can't make s'mores in may?

so much fun was had. much thanks to my in-laws for such a great trip (i'm so sad i didn't get more family pictures...)!

the drive there was perfect. the drive back, not so much. we had to get creative.

we definitely broke in the new mini!
