A Thousand Words

this is us.

the real us.

right now.

this day.

this moment in life.

my life.

my lovely life with 2 little boys and a fabulous daddy and husband.

i've been wanting to capture it before it all changes. i've talked with a photographer, but decided i'd rather pay her when baby girl is here. and i've talked with my photographer sis-in-law, but have been to lazy to put us together for a real shoot.

so even though i have no makeup on and am dressed like a stereotypical stay-at-home mom (ok, worse), though my boys dressed themselves and are in desparate need of haircuts, though there is a trash can in the background.... this is us, and i think i like it even more than if we were all spiffied up.

on this day we ran out the door when daddy got home for a picnic at the park. the new park near our house that we are so very excited about! sam is still eating his sandwich, the camera is propped on a picnic table, and i nearly went into labor from running to get in the picture.

but before that we ate a thrown together meal and caught up on our day. i think it involved the mcwane center, a discussion about cement trucks, and a few time-outs. at least for 3 of us.
