Once the weather warmed up, Jeremy and I tackled our front yard and created a nice walkway where we have a hard time growing grass. It was HARD but very rewarding!
Then Charlie, Jason and Ashley came into town for some doctor appointments! We were so happy to have them in Dallas, so we went out to dinner!
We didn't have much rain this spring, but it was still lots of fun to walk around with the umbrella!
And sketch and do Mad Libs on the front porch!
And occasionally go to the park on "early release" days!
Then one day we got the bright idea to have a lemonade stand, but we realized we only had grape kool-aid! We decide to improvise and market our "Unicorn Juice" with all the unicorn accessories we happened to have at our disposal! The girls ended up making quite a lot of money in just one afternoon! Hattie decided to do all over again on her own the next day and did a fantastic job! It was a great opportunity to teach the girls about hard work and even tithing!
The wind was getting to Georgia so she put her "wind protector" on...but faithfully sold that unicorn juice!
Then we had a cousins lunch and exchange! Hattie went to Nonnie and Grandad's house with Hallie Claire, and Matthew came to our house to spend the night.
Georgia and Matthew had a great time.
He even read to her before bed!
Spring Break FINALLY came! JJ, Lorelai, and Landon took us as their guests to the Dallas World Aquarium! It was so much fun!
Georgia's favorite animal that day was the flamingo.
Then we headed out to Klyde Warren Park for more fun!
After our play date with the Cheathams, we went straight to Longview for a few days of our spring break! Charlie was a cutie pie, and he loved getting into Gramma's jewelry!
And his girl cousins like to dress him up like this!
But who wouldn't trust these precious faces?!?
They did everything together...even had matching hair!
When Hattie and I walked over to Mrs. Mary's house to say hello, a stray cat came over and wouldn't leave!
Hattie made Mrs. Mary's day with her visit! She even picked some wild flowers for her. Mrs. Mary was so sweet.
Then began the "lets paint all of Gramma and Poppa's rocks" project! They turned out quite beautiful and really kept the girls busy!
After Spring Break was over, Jeremy and I went to the Grace Gala and Silent Auction. The theme was western, so we got to wear our fun denim and boots!
Then came Dads and Dogs at Grace...the day where dads are invited to eat hot dogs with their kids. Jeremy had a work trip and missed it, but I did my best to make up for it!
I got someone to cover my class for a few minutes so that I could eat a dog with Hattie!
And Jeremy more than made it up to Hattie, because when he came back into town, he took her to Dave and Buster's for a date! They had a blast!
Then it was spring planting time!
We took a trip to Calloway's and had a ball.
Palm Sunday!
We walked through downtown, following Jeremy and the rest of the Dixieland band to Klyde Warren Park.
This is my Good Friday Garage Sale Fanny Pack game face.
The girls love having garage sales, and so do I! We spend the whole day outside and get rid of all our stuff! Everything that doesn't sell ends up going straight in my car for the Goodwill!
Then came Easter Sunday morning! I love my girls!
We saw a few donkeys outside the church! (They were for Resurrection Road!)
Hattie with her buddies in Sunday School.
She gave her wonderful teacher Mrs. Stephenson a painting for Easter. It melted my heart...and Mrs. Stephenson's!
Hunting for eggs!
After lunch laughs are the best...
