Fun in the Fall!

I never realized how much there was to do in the fall....and I love it!!!  We took Henry to a corn maze a few weeks ago and he was in HEAVEN!!!  The first thing he spotted was this huge tire, and was all over it.

Outside the corn maze they had a ton of activites and a small playground with trucks, cars, shovels....etc.  Henry was so happy to see all kinds of new toys!

When we were leaving, we spotted children's tractors, and we could not pass up an opportunity to ride on one!

Our next fun fall activity was the State Fair!!!  Henry was completely amazed at all of the people and the rides.  We went with his grandparents so everyone had a turn to ride on a ride with Henry.  He was a little unsure of the rides, but after they started, he would smile a little.

Yes, I am a bad mom and put Henry on 2 rides alone....he was very nervous at the beginning, but as soon as the ride started, he loved it!

"Here goaty goaty!"

The whole time we were at the fair, Henry kept saying "Choo choo," so we put him on the train (alone) and this is the look he gave us....check out the doughnut in his hand.  He never ate it, but would not let go of it.  Finally he threw it off the train...nice!

There are more pictures to come of fun fall....I just did not want to post them all in one post!  Happy Fall!

PUNKINS!!!!!

It is already pumpkin time again!!!  Henry and I went to the pumpkin patch again this year with my friend Lindsey and Henry's friend Carlisle.  We went with them last year and the boys have definitely changed dramatically in a year!  We also decided we would dress them the same this year to make the pictures even cuter (the shirts came from an Etsy page called The Pink Poppyseed if you want one).  However, Henry did not want to sit still for anything.  Carlisle was great and would smile and laugh, but Henry just wanted to run around and touch all of the pumpkins.  Here are some of the pictures we got this year....hopefully next year they will sit and smile at the camera???

RUNNING!!!!

The only way we got Henry to sit down was to give him a pumpkin.....but he just pawned it off on Carlisle....

Actually, Henry did stop running when he found the pile of hay on the side of  the pumpkin patch.  He was so happy to be in the hay???

Look at our little guys playing together.....so freaking cute!!!
"See Carlisle, you just put this piece of hay in the hole and then it disappears....."

I love this picture of Carlisle!!!

Teamwork!

Now her are my comparison pictures....this is the boys this year and.......

here are the boys last year....things change so much!!!

Labs are the best!

This is sooooo true!  Labs are great dogs to have around children because they are so relaxed.  Our lab (120 pounds) was not sure of Henry early on, but has come to put up with about anything he does now.  Sometimes I will catch Henry riding Sperry like a horse holding on to his fur or his ears.  Other times he uses Sperry as a pillow, chases him, throws the ball for him, pulls his tail......you get the idea.  Today it was a dog-slide.....you can hear Henry in the background going "weeeeeee."  I am so thankful for Sperry's patience!

Stats

Henry and I went to the peds today for his 18 month checkup and Henry is "looking great!!!"  I realized I had not posted his stats since his 9 month visit, so here are his 12, 15 and 18 month stats.  If you look at them closely, you will notice that his 15 month and 18 month height and head circumference don't make any sense....I think we had an inexerienced person for the 15 month visit.  Today the guy did it over and over to make sure it was correct.  We will see what he looks like at the next visit.
12 month stats (4/1/10)
Weight: 22 pounds 4 ounces  50%
Height: 30 3/8 inches   75%
Head Circumference: 18 1/4 inches   55%

15 months stats (7/13/10)
Weight:  24 pounds 12 ounces  50%
Height:  33 3/4 inches    95%
Head Circumference: 18 3/4   60%

18 month stats (10/5/10)
Weight:  26 pounds 2 ounces (55%)
Height: 33 1/2 inches (75%)
Head Circumference:  18 1/4 inches (15%)

As far as the changes I have seen in Henry....he has really taken off with his talking and expressing himself.  He has also started throwing temper tantrums when he does not get his way....yesssss!  He has really taken an interest in playing with other children, he has a little seperation anxiety but is not shy at all!!!!  I listed some words Henry knows a few posts back....now I want to add to them:

pop pop (popcorn), all done, please, thank you, balloon, where____go?, jac jac, sippy, juice, work, ball, no, cold, papa, pops, park, sandbox, night night, pap (passy), fishies, and cracker, he also makes animal noises: lion, tiger, sheep, dog, monkey, he can blow kisses and when he askes a question he puts his hands out like we would normally do.  He is also putting 2 and 3 words together.  He is learning all the time and I love it!!!

I am attaching a video I took of Henry a few days ago....if you know Beau and I, you will know we love Clemson and dislike USC....well, here is a video of Henry disliking the Gamecocks.....I will post a GO TIGERS video when he does it.  For some reason, he can't say tigers.
