We just want to tell you how much we love you. You are a wonderful husband and father. I'm sure Jeffrey will be waiting here to scare you (and wish you Happy Birthday!) when you get home from work. We hope you have a wonderful day!
October has been so busy with birthdays. First it was our niece Faythe's birthday, then Grandpa Forsyth's birthday, then my sister Morgan's birthday, then Grandma Forsyth's 75th birthday, and now this week is Jeff's 30th birthday and Hannah's 1st birthday...ahhhhh! On Sunday, my whole family surprised my Grandma by showing up to go to sacrament meeting with her. She was so shocked and excited. She has always wanted us to come and sit with her. Then we surprised her with a special dinner and open house for family and friends. She was sincerely surprised and we all had a fun night. Plus, all of the grandkids wrote her a letter and my cousin Mindi put them together in a special book for her. She loves the book and shows everyone. Stay tuned for details and pictures from the other special birthdays this week!
This past week we took a fun little trip to the Pumpkin Patch. This was our 2nd Annual trip and I hope it's a tradition for years to come. Jeffrey was more interested in the tractors than the pumpkins, go figure! Hannah, on the other hand, had a ball sitting in the wheelbarrow searching for pumpkins. She was smiling the whole time. We picked out some great pumpkins and look forward to carving them for Halloween. Happy Fall!
Poo-Poo in the Pot-ty, Poo Poo in the Pot-ty! We have slowly been potty training for months now. We figure just take it easy and let Jeffrey do it when he's ready. He's been peeing in the potty forever, but the poop thing not so much. We would ask him each time he needed to go, but he was always scared so we didn't push him. I kept telling him if he went I would take him to the store and he could pick out a new toy. Well, a few weeks ago it finally worked. He just went in and did it all by himself and hasn't looked back since! Seriously, I never realized that seeing poop in the potty from that little guy could make me so happy. We were so proud of him. I think I even had a tear! We went to Target that next day and he picked out a new set of John Deere tractors (big surprise, eh?). We've been using a little potty chart with stickers and he's almost done with his second chart. His reward for finishing the first chart was a trip to the dinosaur museum. We also went and picked out some undies. I'm not saying he's completely trained, we still have some work to do, but he's doing such a great job!
Anyone who knows Jeffrey knows that he loves big trucks, tractors, bobcats and anything else like it. Which means he's lucky because Grandpa Smith has tractors at his house and Grandpa Forsyth drives a big truck. Jeffrey looks forward to riding the tractor every time we visit Grandpa. He practically knows how to drive the thing and his favorite part is lifting the bucket, getting dirt and dumping it. We also got to visit Grandpa Forsyth at work and see his cool truck. Grandpa took Jeffrey for a ride and he got to honk the horn and watch the trailer go up and down. He was in heaven! Jeffrey loves his Grandpas!
