The Smith Family

We had our annual night out at the fair with Jeff's family this year. Jeffrey has literally been waiting since last year to go on the big yellow slide again. Well, it was a bust! He did it once and got a little freaked out and didn't want to do it again. Hannah, on the other hand, loved it and tried to climb back up. The ponies were a big hit again this year with Jeffrey and Hannah. Jeffrey loved playing in this little fun house where he could climb and go down slides. He did have a little trouble getting through the spinning tunnel! The big hit this year though was this...

The guy had Jeffrey shooting his Spiderman web while flying in the air and even got him doing back flips (sad, we don't have any flip pictures!). A crowd gathered to watch him and he thought it was pretty cool. He is already excited for next year to try it again!


We had a great time...until next year!

We have been wanting to set up a movie in the backyard all summer, so we finally did it! Jeff gathered all the gear and I gathered all the goodies and we invited over some family. Nothing better than pizza, popcorn and goodies and The Little Mermaid on the big screen right in your own backyard!

Jeff and I went to the Depeche Mode concert last week. It dawned on me that this was our 4th Depeche Mode concert together since we met in jr. high. I went with him in 8th grade, the summer after 9th grade, in 2004 before we had any kids, and last week. It's really kind of crazy if you think about it! We had a lot of fun. We were 17th row on the floor and during a few songs they were on the extended stage right in front of us. Jeff knew all the songs and I knew enough to sing along. They came back out for two encores and sang some really cool stuff. Who knows, maybe there is a Depeche Mode concert #5 in our future.
