Baby Love

I've got babies on my mind (and one in my tummy)! I have been a bit nostalgic lately thinking about my babies. I've spent hours looking at baby pictures trying to remember everything about them. Jeffrey had a ton of dark hair when he was born. He looked like a little monkey! He wasn't a good sleeper during the day or at night (still isn't!). During the day I would have to strap him in the Baby Bjorn and carry him around with me to do everything. He didn't eat very well. I'm sure the poor kid wanted to, but he had acid reflux and spit up everything. I think he starved for the first 6 months of his life. He was so dang cute! My beautiful little Hannah was a bit jaundice when she was born so we had to put her under the lights at home for a few days. She was a much better sleeper and eater. As a matter of fact, she slept so much during the day for the first few weeks that I was worried. I sure wasn't used to that! I just know I didn't savor these moments enough. It makes me sad! I love my kids at 5 and 3. I just wish I could go back and hold them as babies again. They are so precious!

A Little About Hannah...

Since Hannah's birthday is on Halloween, her birthday usually always gets mixed with my Halloween post. I have been wanting to do a special post just about her. So, almost 3 months later, here it goes. Hannah is definitely the little princess in our family. Last year was a big year for her. She was potty trained, she turned 3 and she got a big girl bed.

It's strange saying those things because it seems like she has been a big girl forever. Maybe because she is so tall, almost as big as Jeffrey. I actually had someone ask me if they were twins recently. She is such a girlie-girl but she isn't afraid to wrestle with her big brother. Her favorite thing to do is dress-up or I guess I should say just dress herself. She loves to put her own outfits together, usually it's a summer dress or shorts and a tank with socks and sandals (sure hope she outgrows that!).

She loves having her finger nails and toe nails painted. She loves playing video games with Jeffrey. She loves when he teaches her karate and cartwheels. She loves filling her backpack with clothes, brushes, lip gloss, all that girlie stuff. She loves her dolls and her doll house. She loves playing games and watching movies on Dad's iPad. Some of her favorite movies are Toy Story, Annie, and Alice in Wonderland. She is getting excited for a new baby and says she wants to help me take care of it. I think she is going to be a great big sister. She tells me she likes my big tummy! The other day my Dad asked her what the baby's name was going to be. Hannah said, "Grandpa, the baby isn't finished yet!" What a little character! She is such a beautiful, smart, independent little girl. We just love her to pieces!

Snow Day

Sledding down the driveway is so much fun!

Christmas Day

It was a Christmas miracle...both of our children slept in their beds all night long! And Santa came!

I think Hannah was a little overwhelmed when she walked out to all of this. It took her a minute to get excited about everything. Jeffrey was excited right away when he saw his blue squid. He really wanted it! I think this is the first year they have both really been into it, so it was a lot of fun for Jeff and I too. Hannah's favorite gifts were her Barbie Jeep and the gum in her stocking. Jeffrey's favorite gifts were his blue squid, wolverine costume and TV for his room.

We got ready and headed over to visit and open presents with my family. Jeffrey immediately put his wolverine costume on and I think he wore it for 3 days straight. The kids got spoiled as usual and had fun running around with Taven. Jeffrey loves his pirate ship! Hannah loves her Bitty Baby and stroller!

We made it to Jeff's parent's house just in time for a delicious dinner. One of my favorite things is when we do the Christmas crackers. Everyone wears the paper crown and we go around and read the jokes. The kids are always excited and running around waiting to open presents.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Honestly, the kids got so much stuff that we still haven't even played with it all. I'm saving some of it for a rainy day! The best part, really, is just spending time with family. Merry Christmas!
