It wasn't until about two weeks ago that Hannah finally started getting excited for school. Up until then, she was not looking forward to going! We went and met her teacher last Monday. Well, it's not really the first time meeting her...it's Mrs. Hawes! She was Jeffrey's teacher too and we just love her! Hannah used to go with me every day to drop Jeffrey off and pick him up. It was almost like she was in the class back then. Hannah already knows one little girl in her class and I have a feeling she will make lots of new friends. Everything seems to be going great!

Summer, Summer, Summertime...
Oh, what have we been up to this summer? I feel like all of the build up to our Maui trip and the trip itself pretty much sums up June. We did have a fun outing at the splash park with cousins in June. My Mom took the kids to the splash park when we were in Hawaii and she said Grayson didn't really like it, so I was a bit surprised when he ran right for the water and loved it.
At the end of June, Heather and Taven came to visit and stayed for a couple of weeks. Actually, Taven was here for over a month. The kids loved having him here! We had fun at the Taylorsville Dayzz parade. Of course, we also celebrated Madison's birthday and watched fireworks that night.
I finally took the kids to Cowabunga Bay after much coaxing from Madison and Taven. It was a cloudy day but the kids still had fun. Jeffrey went on all of the big slides with Grandpa Don and Taven. They even talked me into going on one. Jeffrey was really brave! Hannah, on the other hand, preferred the wading pool and lazy river. Grayson loved the kiddie pool and ice cream!
We had a fun day at the zoo before Taven headed back to Florida. We all loved the new Rocky Shores with the polar bear. I think the kids (and my Mom) could sit there all day and watch that bear!
In between all of this it's been playing with friends, more swimming, water balloon fights, a trip to Airborne and a fun day at Planet Play. Now we're just trying to make the most of the next few weeks before school starts.

On the 4th of July, Rori invited us all over for a BBQ. She had a fun coloring contest for the kids. We ate yummy food and watched fireworks. As a matter of fact, the firework show was so crazy that the cops showed up...ha! It was all good though, no tickets or anything.

We had our annual
Pioneer Day BBQ. We were glad that Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth could come. Grandpa has been recovering from knee surgery so they haven't been out much. My cousin Austin and a few of his friends stopped by as well. We enjoyed yummy food and fireworks. Thanks to Pinterest, I had some fun treats to share with everyone. Look at those cute babies in their matching pajamas!
