Mmmmm!

as AR would say. Yes sweet girl. This is your new word {or sound}. Every time we fix something to eat, you stand at our feet and say Mmmmm! Daddy and I laughed so hard the other night because Daddy was cleaning out a few left overs from the refrigerator and scraping them onto one plate. It was actually quit disgusting. Anyway, he caught your eye as he was scraping bowls so you ran to him saying, "Mmmmmm." I let you know very quickly that old left overs were not mmmmm but they were yuck! Ha! It was very funny!!

So Mommy has again neglected updating for yet another week. Work has been so busy and weekend life has been crazy. Here is what we have been spending all of our time doing this month of November.

We went to Allison's baby shower earlier this month and got to see all of your "Aunts"!

You missed out, but Mommy went to see one of your besties, baby Jaylen, be dedicated at her church last Sunday. I hate this was the only picture I got but hopefully Karen when share some better ones with us.

After the baby dedication, I met you and Daddy to celebrate Thanskgiving with Daddy's side of the family. I some how left with not one picture. Oh well..

Coming up: We are headed out of town for Thanksgiving. Mommy and Daddy are so excited to get away to one of our favorite places. Our little family is leaving out tomorrow! Woo Hoo!

They're Here!

A few weeks ago, we had our family pictures made by Kamin at Baker Farm. I got my CD from her this week and I'm thrilled to share them. She does such a great job. Go check out her blog! Since I have gotten so bad about keeping up with my blog, I think I will just share a few of my favorites all weekend. Here is a sneak peak for tonight.

Sleeping, Eating, and Nudity....

all of which make this little stinker happy!!

Ava Reese,

I think we are done with teething for a little while! You have been in the best of moods the past few weeks and have been more lovable than normal. You will randomly come up and give kisses and you have now started patting on us when you give us a hug. So sweet! Mommy hasn't been very good about updating and I promise I will get better. Mommy is still taking lots of pictures, she is just having a hard time getting them posted. So here is a whole bunch of pictures from the past few days!

Last week, we broke out the new wagon you got for your birthday and pulled you around the yard. You absolutely loved it!

That same night, Daddy fixed some yummy tenderloin and you took a piece right off Mommy's plate and helped yourself. You thought it was yummy!

Friday night, Alston and Jaylen {and of course their Mommy's} came over to our house for a play date. We had yummy pizza for dinner and just sat around and played! You babies are getting so big and we loved watching you interact and play together. Alston hit the sack pretty early and left you and Jaylen to play. Jaylen has a pretty late bedtime but you are use to going to bed at 9:30. With it being a Friday night and having friends over, I was just going to let you play till you got fussy or way to tired to function. Well I guess you had had it because this is how we found you. Remember the books "Where's Waldo"???.. Well- Where is Ava Reese?

You fell out right in the middle of the HUGE mess y'all made. We need our friends to come over more often!

Saturday was of course Halloween. We hung around the house as we waited on Daddy to get back from his hunting trip to South Alabama.

We decided to eat an early dinner at Wings before we went to Pop's and JiJi's to trick or treat. That is where we realized that we might be turning a corner with you. You were so good the whole time we were there and laughed and played and ate just like a big girl.

I really think you just feel better, which you should. You have been cutting teeth for 9 straight months.

This week, you have been a happy little squirt... Eating and running around naked are your two all time favorite things to do!

I hope you are as happy this weekend as you have been this week! We have a fun play date planned for tonight, Christmas shopping tomorrow, and a baby shower on Sunday.

auf wiedersehen

...which actually mean goodbye in German. Why I chose to take 3 years of German in high school, I do not know. It hasn't helped me a bit and I do not remember much. Someone should have told me it would be much wiser to take Spanish....oh well...anyway........

Ava Reese,

Mommy and Daddy decided to take away the bottle. The plan was to take it away right after your first birthday but you have been sick and have been cutting molars and eye teeth so we felt it just wasn't a good time. However, we realized how great of a mood you have been in this week and thought it was the perfect opportunity. You haven't missed it at all. You haven't cried for it or acted irritable because you can't have it. I guess I just thought you were more dependent on it. Or maybe I just wanted to think you were...ha! Here is a picture of you with your last bottle!!

What Does the Pink Piggy Say?

Every year for the past few years, we go to my Dad's to celebrate Halloween with my little brother. They live in a subdivision in Inverness where there are lots of houses and LOTS of trick or treaters. It is always so much fun. AR had a blast hanging out and running around the yard in her costume but she wasn't crazy about the Trick or Treating part. We went to about 5 houses and called it a night. We decided to go and join Auntie Sarah and Pops at the house to help hand out candy and look at all the creative costumes. AR was obsessed with all the candy and the constant flow of trick or treaters. I probably let her eat way too much but she enjoyed herself!

I hope everyone had a joyful Halloween!

I'm already brainstorming for next years costume. Daddy told me he gets to pick the costume next year since I chose the past two. I told him my only rule is she can't be anything dead. ha! I have a feeling we might not be near as cute and sweet next year.
