Spring Tease
Our little family took complete advantage of the beautiful, warm Birmingham weather this weekend. AR has had such cabin fever this winter and cries almost every afternoon because she wants to run around outside and play but by the time we get home it's just too cold. Therefore, on Saturday, we went to the park down the road from our house to play!
Last time I brought AR to the park, she was too little to do anything but swing. Now she can walk across the bridges and crawl through the tunnels all by herself. Mommy was there to just follow..and take pictures!
{I'm sure my preggo fanny looked pretty funny following this active toddler through the tunnels}.
After we played on the playground I took her out to the big open field to just run...and that is all she did! We went to all corners of the field in full force with this big ole grin in tow the whole time!
There were a few falls and pit stops along the way.. at one point she got on all fours and began crawling...ha!
Before we left we made one last pit stop at our favorite spot... the slide. She needed my assistance getting to the top but wanted no help coming down!
I have never seen such a look of terror as I did when I put her in the swing. She was terrified and wanted absolutely nothing to do with it.. {am I a bad mommy for making her sit there while I took a picture?? She will laugh at this when she gets older..hopefully!}
Needless to say, we were exhausted...
and can't wait till SPRING!

Yay! Daddy finally made his decision and let me know last night that he had chosen Mia Kate for this sweet little girl! I am so excited that I am going to have an Ava Reese and a Mia Kate! I just love their names!!

Coloring and Bath Time
This week, Mommy and Daddy have been in the process of Spring Cleaning {we're getting a jump start}!! SO while we have been cleaning out and putting up, AR has been entertaining herself. She has been going through this stage where she likes to sit on anything that is just her size: boxes, stools, stairs, diapers, etc. The other night I caught her sitting in the dust pan.
{excuse the mess..like I said, we are in the middle of cleaning so it wasn't clean yet}
AR decided that her new lap desk/tray she got for Valentine's Day was just her size and perfect to sit on and ended up snapping it in half. So much for that gift! Therefore, we have resorted to the kitchen stool or the high chair for any coloring activities:
She insisted on sitting next to me while I graded papers so coloring in the high chair kept her happy...for about 15 minutes!
With all that we been doing this week, bath time has been less than stellar. A quick dunk, wash, and rinse was about all she got. Tonight, I decided to let her have a fun bath!! We sat for over 30 minutes and talked, played, and splashed. She really enjoyed herself. I wish I could let her do it more often!

No baby name announcement tonight. Daddy is getting ready to make his departure back to work so I am going to make him decide before he leaves. Therefore, I should be able to announce something by Sunday... but no promises!

"I Love You" day
Last night, Heath and I went to Outback for our Valentine's dinner. We found out we were pregnant with AR just a few days before Valentine's Day two years ago and ever since we have made the decision to spend our night together the night before Valentine's Day so we can spend the whole day on Valentine's with our LOVE! This morning, we went to church and then went and waited ..and waited ..and waited to eat Cracker Barrel for brunch with Auntie Sarah and Eric! When two pregnant women really want to eat somewhere, sometimes the men and baby have to sacrifice! It was well worth it!
We spent the rest of our Valentine's Day visiting Uncle Joe and JiJi and spending time with PawPaw who came over to visit! After AR woke from her nap we showed her her Valentine's Day present. She has become OBSESSED with coloring so Daddy went and bought her a lap tray, coloring book, and large {washable} crayons. She loves it!
Happy "I Love You" Day!!
Sorry for not updating about our Little Peanut yet. Daddy is still not ready to commit to a name so I am giving him his time! He is stuck between 2. As soon as he decides I will make the big announcement!!
UPDATE: We have already used our crayons to color on a wall, a mirror, and a door! Maybe this wasn't such a good idea yet.

Little Sister
...and we couldn't be more excited! This mommy has lots of updating to do so don't give up on me. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a lazy day so I will do lots of catching up then! To come.. Belly post, snow day, baby name and update {hopefully, daddy isn't quite ready to commit as of tonight}, and of course our "I Love You" weekend! After all of the excitement, commotion, and a long day in the snow, I can't possibly even begin! I just wanted to share our wonderful news!!

In a Nutshell
Friday night AR and I spent the night at Pop's and JiJi's so we could play/babysit Uncle Joe Saturday morning. AR slept until 9:30 Saturday morning and was treated to some yummy doughnuts when she finally awoke.
We decided to also spend the night Saturday night because JiJi invited us to go to their church Sunday morning. Heath and I have visited a few churches throughout the year but really haven't been to one that we just loved. However, I have found it! It was the first time I have left a church and couldn't wait to go back! If you are from Birmingham {or not}, you have probably heard of Church of the Highlands. Well, the Church of the Highlands' main campus is a good 45 minute drive for us and we really don't want to drive that far to go to church. However, they now have Greystone campus where you hear the same sermon from the same pastor from the original Church of the Highlands. It really is great! After church and a nap, I took AR outside to take a few pictures since she is now 16 months!
I love this little dress. AR's Paw Paw {Heath's dad} got it for her for Christmas. AR was so excited about wearing her boots! She loves them!
Sunday afternoon, Nana came pick up AR. I had a HUGE surprise for AR Sunday night and had lots to do to prepare for the surprise. The surprise was Daddy. Heath has been in San Antonio, TX for the last 2 weeks and wasn't suppose to come home until Valentine's weekend. However, he called me Thursday and told me he was going to be able to come home for a few days! After I left to go pick him up from the airport, Nana brought AR home so she would be here when he walked in the door. When he walked in she wasn't quit sure how to act or how to express her feelings. So she just started running in circles around the living room and screaming. It was so cute! She loves that Daddy! We have missed him bunches!What a good weekend!
