I remember AR's first Christmas like it was yesterday! I also remember how excited I was. This year I had that same feeling of excitement not only for AR but also for Westin!
Santa came!...
... and he and the reindeer seemed to have nibbled on their goodies!
Westin woke me up around 7:00. I went to get him out of his crib so Daddy and AR would continue to sleep. It was very special for me to enjoy Westin all by himself on his first Christmas!! I knew once AR woke, most of that attention would shift!
I heard Daddy and AR whispering to each other so I called to them that Santa had come!! AR quickly rose and made a b-line towards her loot!
Santa brought AR a white, wooden table and chair set! She also got a cute, wooden cradle for her Bitty Baby, a Mrs. Potato Head, a Magna Doodle, and a wooden puzzle that spells out "Ava Reese"! In her stocking she got a stuffed Hoot Hoot, sippy cups, leggings of all colors, suckers, and gummy snacks.
Santa brought Westin a red, Jeep walker! He also got a Leap Frog activity table, a new hat, brown shoes, and a floor mirror! In his stocking he had a stuffed elephant, a teething elephant and ball, Puffs, and a jingle ball!
AR and Westin laid around and played with their new toys for a while Mommy and Daddy watched it sleet outside! I had heard we might have a white Christmas but I was very doubtful!
Before we got ourselves ready to go to Pops and JiJi's, I attempted a picture of Brother and Sister in the Christmas jammies. I think I waited to long. Brother was ready for a bottle and his morning nap and Sister was already WIRED!!
We drove over the mountain in the slushy rain to Birmingham to spend late Christmas morning with Pops, JiJi, Uncle Joe Joe, Uncle Stephen and Aunt Amber {or should we say Aunt Jen Jen..ha!}, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Eric, MAGGIE.....and Scarlett! On our way, I made the comment to Heath that it looks like its going to be a messy Christmas, not a white Christmas...Little did I know.
Around 1:00 this is what it looked like outside in Birmingham..
and this was our view on the way back home!
We drove to Uncle Kevin's and Aunt Dale's to spend the rest of the afternoon with the extended Waldrop family!! When we arrived, this was the beauty we saw!
We attempted to take a "kids" picture in front of the Christmas tree but we could only get the boys in it. AR started to feel bad and EB was too busy to be interrupted...
Up next... our small photo shoot involving this..
Stay tuned...
