Top Ten {Tuesday} Books to Read

I have a large stack of books I am wanting to get around to reading. I am currently reading Crazy Love for our Bible Study on Wednesday nights so I'm having a hard time picking up another book before finishing this one.

So here are my top ten books to read in the near future:

1. Heaven is for Real - I bought this a few weeks back and I have several friends urging me to pick it up NOW.
Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back, Deluxe Edition

2. The Freedom Writers Diary - I went to a conference at the beginning of the month and one of the keynote speakers was Erin Gruwell, the determined teacher in the book. Her speech brought me to tears  and inspired me to be a better teacher. I can't wait to read this. I bought the book immediately after her speech. It's waiting on me to pick it up.
The Freedom Writers Diary : How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them

3. Through My Eyes - I bought this book as a Dirty Santa gift and Heath was determined it was coming back home with us. Luckily, we "played our cards right" and ended up with it. He finished it a few weeks ago and loved it so now it's my turn. Yes, we are Tim Tebow fans.

4. Steve Jobs - My step mom is reading this book and promised it to me as soon as she is finished. He was such an interesting, brilliant man. I can't wait to learn more about him!

5. The Vow - I just learned that this is a true story so before I watch the movie, which I heard was fabulous, I want to read the book.
The Vow: The True Events that Inspired the Movie

6. The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts - I have several friends who have read this and highly recommend it. This is definitely a book I would love to read with the hubby!

7. The Purpose Driven Life - This was a book that is highly recommended by several of my friends from Bible study. I think they read this book this past year and loved it. I am sure it is fabulous!
The Purpose Driven® Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?

8. The Fourth Stall - I am always looking for books to recommend to my students. Our school librarian and the girl I Nanny for both said this book was great. Hopefully, I can get around to buying and reading it so I can share it with my students.

9. Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site - This little book looks precious. I think Westin would love it. It might just find its way in his Easter basket.

10. What else should I add to the bed side table stack??

Project 365: Week 8

I did not do a very good job with my picture taking this week. I can't really put my finger on what made it such an off week...

Anyway, here is a quick snippet of our week.

Day 50: Sunday, February 19th
AR cheesing with her soon to be Aunt Amber at her Bridal Shower!

Day 51: Monday, February 20th
I had a horrible day off, however, sitting riverside with these two cuties made things much better.

Day 52: Tuesday, February 21st
I downloaded a Bible app on my phone that actually reads the Bible to me. On Tuesday, I couldn't get enough. I spent my entire break tracking along in Genesis. This may be my ticket to "reading" the entire Bible in a year.

Day 53: Wednesday, February 22nd
I have made it very clear to Heath that I am cutting back my fast food intake. However, this week wasn't a good one to prove myself. On my way to Bible study, Heath caught me pulling out of the Jack's parking lot on his way to pick up the Littles. He, of course, had to give me a hard time before letting it slide.

Day 54: Thursday, February 23rd
I finally ordered my bridesmaid dress for my brothers wedding that is in 2 weeks. Procrastinating? Not at all. Forgetful? Absolutely. No worries. The dress should be sitting at my front door when I get home from work tomorrow.

Day 55: Friday, February 24th
Friday night was a "Dinner of Your Choice" kind of night. AR's choice... Pimento cheese sandwich and dill pickle slices. She is her father's child.

Day 56: Saturday, February 25th
I sat down at the computer to finally finish my Day in the Life post. It took me forever to get it all together but was fun. Thankfully, the kids usually spend their Saturday mornings playing in their room while eating breakfast on the run so they didn't mind that Mommy spent so much time at the computer. I made it up to them by taking them to a super fun birthday party that afternoon and over to Nana's for some loving that evening.

Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Monday

My friend, Beth did this fabulous day in the life post of "A Tuesday" on her blog last week so I thought that since I was off work on Monday I would do a similar post of our Monday.

My friend, Kristin did a great "A Day in the Life" post of her Monday as well! If you have time, go check them out!

Police Officer: Ma'am, that will not be good enough. Hold on just a minute. Is your license suspended?
Me: Absolutely not.

{Funny sidenote: While Memaw was pushing Westin around he started screaming, "Daddy!!" and pointing to something. Memaw couldn't figure out what he was pointing to. He grabbed this, pointed to the man, and said over and over again, "Daddy. It's Daddy!". I had text Heath this picture! We laughed the entire way through the store.}

This day did not go as planned..a ticket in Hoover, an accidental throwing away of the ticket at the car wash just minutes later, setting off the car alarm--twice, and 2 kiddos who chose not to nap until now--at 4:30. Can I crawl in a hole? Nah..I guess I should go load the dishwasher instead! Happy Monday.
