Another Ward Lake Photo Session
The afternoon lighting on Ward Lake always seems magical on a sunny day. The water was calm and some campfires were burning. This gave a great soft bright light for some great shots.

Settler's Cove - Lunch Creek - Pink Salmon
We drove to the end of the raod where there is a nice hiking trail and park. We had lots of fun in the creek. Malia was upset she couldn't catch a live salmon like her brothers. She did pick up a dead one. When I told her she did catch one she said,"No, I wanted to catch a live one." Berry season is just about done along with the fishing season. The days are getting shorter and everyone is getting ready for winter. There is still snow on Deer Mt. for all of you global warming nuts out there. Thats the first time in quite a few years. So don't give up hope on our existance in the next ten years just yet.Thursday, August 7, 2008
More Summertime Fun
Well we decided to have a summer barbecue. Pork ribs, fresh corn on the cob, coleslaw, biscuits, and mashed potatoes and gravy. If there ever was a meal that defined summer this was it. For the finish we gave each of the kids a huge slice of watermelon. It was a mandatory shirtless event. We also went to the train park in Scottsdale for a nice ride. We saw about 20 Cottontail rabbits and just beat the monsoon storm. We ended up running to the car in a down pour, which was pretty fun.
Loving Vacation
So far we've had lot's of fun in the sun. Visiting friends and family at Kim's reception was great.
