How does your garden grow?

For years now, prophets have told us to grow a garden.
Blessings of so many kinds flow from following this admonition!
There's nothing quite like picking a fresh tomato for a salad,
and working beside your children will build relationships
that you can't come by any other way.

If you've thought about digging in the dirt yourself,
it's never too late to start here in Georgia.

The Provident Living website
has great information about gardening.

You can also use the "Square-Foot Gardening" method.
It's amazing what you can grow in just a small space.
(This was our inspiration!)
Check out this website for more details!

We are blessed with a long growing season here in Georgia,
so it's never too late to get started.
It's a perfect time to get your garden ready
for a fall crop of pumpkins,
sweet potatoes, broccoli and lettuce.
Here are a couple of websites to help you out.

If you're clueless about what to do when, there's a great
gardening calendar produced by the County Extension office.

Our family has a little raised bed of tomatoes and herbs, and we've planted a grapevine along our ugly chain link fence that's seems to be doing pretty well - nothing fancy or elaborate, but we have little green tomatoes growing, and I can't wait for them to ripen! Now it's your turn - let me know if you're gardening this summer.

Check out this sister's to see her raised beds!
You'll find her link on the RS blog, too.)
Send me a picture or two and we'll post them on our blog.

Happy gardening, and have a great week!
Love to all!

Colum.bia South Carolina Temple

Information on the Colum.bia South Carolina Temple

You will not need to call for appointments for endowment sessions, but to do sealings and initiatory you will need to make appointments.

You will also need to make appointments for live ordinances.

If you have a few family file names for baptism they will try and work you in with youth baptismal groups.

The temple is adding 5 sessions to their regular work schedule. They could use additional ordinance workers.

  • Workers would be useful particularly on Saturday
  • They would like you to be able to work two shifts a month, but there is some flexibility particularly if you have worked in another temple previously
  • They will be happy to use all veil workers – not sure if you will need to go through specific training or not but would assume so

Session times are as follows:

Tuesday 5:30, 7:00 PM

Wednesday 9:00, 10:30, 12:00 Noon & 5:30, 7:00 PM

Thursday (same as Wednesday)

Friday 4:00, 5:30, 7:00 PM

Saturday 7:00, 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 AM & 1:00, 2:30 PM

On the 3rd Saturday of each month the 1 & 2:30 sessions are designated Spanish Sessions.

Information on Motels will be coming
