Here's Avery decorating her seahorse (ocean theme) and then she decorated the letter Ss with stickers. Drew enjoyed these activities much more than I thought he would!
We've done a little baking. Avery and I made chocolate dipped rice crispie treats. Yummy!
The kids school offered a summer camp the third week of July. Avery went all week, and Drew attended the mothers day out Tuesday- Thursday. I decided to put Drew in the following week too so that Avery and I could have some much needed girl time. A friend and I thought it would be fun to take our girls to a "princess tea party." So I told Avery our plans and told her she could wear whatever she wanted... a pretty dress, dress up like a princess (disney), or one of her fancy princess dresses. She decided she wanted to wear her white princess dress and be a "princess bride." She did look super cute. We enjoyed our time together. Avery was excited to see the table all decorated with princess characters just for her and her friend. Her favorite part seemed to be sipping pink lemonade from her tea cup. She really liked getting to pour herself more.
And... it wouldn't be a summer post without a naked shot of the kids playing in the water outside. Which by the way, this slip and slide from Target for $15 is a great one! I like how it is a double slide (came with 2 slide rafts). It fills with water at the end where the kids like to play- kinda like splashing in a puddle.
