We had a lovely time with Logan's first Christmas. It was a busy time and kind of tiring, but we had a wonderful time. We know Logan won't remember, but these times are full of wonderful memories for Nathan and I.
On Christmas Day Nathan's family came over for the morning. Nathan got a great digital camera that I know he is going to take a TON of wonderful pictures with. His family left sooner than we had planned so we stopped over to Aunt Me's house to spend time with some family.
The day after Christmas we went to my parents house and had a great time with my parents, Kyle, Sarah, Tommy and Piper. Mom and Dad surprised all of us with a new TV for each couple! Flat screen 37" HD! Craziness!! We were all very excited! We had a great dinner and saw some family from my Dad's side.
Saturday we went to Aunt Me and Unlce Frank's house for the Deller family get together. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and see all the kids. Ty is amazingly cute when he holds Logan - he is so sweet with him.
There are so many pictures so this is the easiest way to upload them:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
We got a ton of snow on Friday! Logan's Daycare was closed so it ended up being a snow day for mommy too! Nathan made it to work okay and thankfully they let him come home early so we were able to spend some family time together. It was fantastic! On Saturday we decided to bundle Logan up and take some cute pictures out in the snow. He was rather confused about it, but that is okay. We can just picture this time next year when he is wanting to play in it! That will be quite a sight to see!
Our trip outside was quite an adventure as you will see in the pictures. I sat my butt in the snow... big mistake. Especially since Nathan was having problems with the camera and I was sitting there for MUCH longer than I anticipated. THEN - we make our way back onto the porch only to discover we locked ourselves out! Our front door has one of those locks that it can be unlocked on the inside, but locked on the outside. oops! Then Nathan went around to the side door of our garage and tried to fit through an old doggie door that was there - after kicking out the big piece of wood that sealed it. (I wish I had known that - it would have been a funny picture.) hehe Finally he kicked the whole door in and managed to get the big garage door open and we were safely back inside our nice warm house!
I will be sure to post a bunch of pictures from Logan's first Christmas... or at least a link to a bunch of pictures. Sometimes this thing takes forever to load pictures!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Logan and Daddy
I think this is a very sweet picture of my two guys.
Mommy's turn!
One of my friends actually said Logan looked like me in this picture! Bless her heart... everyone says he looks like Nathan... except for Nathan who thinks he looks like my side!

Praying for Kayleigh
There is a little baby girl who is fighting so hard to stay alive and be strong for her mommy and daddy. This little girl's story has touched my life in ways that are hard to describe and in ways many won't understand. She has strengthened my faith in God, brought us back to church... all these things have strengthened our marriage and makes me be a better mom to Logan.
This beautiful girl is running out of time as the doctors have found this one glimmer of hope and I pray that this glimmer of hope turns into the miracle they are so desprately searching for.
She has pulled through so many things the past 5 1/2 months. She has touched thousands of lives... all over the word. Just from the words her loving father has written about her almost every day of her life.
Please pray for Kayleigh and that God grants this family their miracle!

Logan and Santa Claus
My mom took Logan to see Santa yesterday! She got him this new - totally cute outfit while they were there and changed him, but forgot his socks! Oops! I think it is a really sweet picture!
I'm not sure what Logan asked Santa to bring him, but with the way he has been eating it is probably formula! :-)

4 month check up
Logan had his 4 month check up today. The doctor says he is doing great! His umbilical hernea is gone - now he just has an outie belly button. The flat spot on his head is getting better - she said to just keep doing what we are doing so that is the plan.
He weighed 13 pounds 1/2 ounce (50th % when age adjusted for being a premie and 26th % not age adjusted)
He was 24 1/4 inches long (50th % when age adjusted and 44th % not age adjusted)
His head is 16 1/2 inches around - also 50th % age adjusted.
He did real well with his shots - or at least as well as can be expected. The first one he barely noticed, but the second one was a combo one and it took a little longer and he screamed. But as soon as I picked him up and gave him some love he was happy. Plus I showed him the REALLY bright kitty painting on the wall - which he loves whenever we go there - and he smiled at it so it was cute.
By the time we got back to daycare (just across the street) he was sound asleep. Barely woke up when I took him out of his carseat and laid him in his crib. Chances are he'll sleep a lot today (hopefully he still sleeps a lot tonight!)
The doctor was pleased with how much he is eating - saying he is a good feeder. She was really pleased with how well he sleeps at night and hopes that continues (ME TOO!)
So that is about it! Once perfectly perfect baby boy!

4 months old today!!
Hope you are all ready and excited for Christmas and the New Year. I know for us it is a very special time (as with Piper, Jordin and Dane) to have Logan celebrate his first Christmas! I thought I loved Christmas before... I love it even more now!
Logan is doing great. He has his 4 month check up next week, but seems to be doing great. That darn flat spot on his head doesn't seem to be much better, but hopefully it will improve without the need for a super cool helmet! His nasty, smelly, hypo-allergenic formula is still working well for him and his umbilical hernia is all but gone! The day after thanksgiving he had a check up on a real bad cold he had and weighed in at 12 pounds 4 ounces! It is hard to remember when he was a teeny 5 pounder!
He has now started the teething process. A couple hard spots up front, but no teeth to see for sure. He is a drool monster though. I swear I thought we had WAY too many bibs before he was born - I was wrong . The kid goes through 3 or 4 a day at least (between drool and his never ending spit up fest.)
With all that - he is still a VERY smiley - VERY happy baby. He can roll from his belly to his back, but since he isn't a huge fan of tummy time he won't do it too much. He get get about half way over when he is on his back.
Below is a link with a bunch of great photos from Thanksgiving and beyond. Kodak does it different now so the captions are above the pictures and if you see a "..." it means there is more to the caption. Just hold your mouse over that and it will pop up. I hope you enjoy!

The grumpy faces of Logan
So - being the oh so loving mom I am I had have to post these pictures. They are stills from a video we took the other day. Logan was fussy and during the whole video I'm singing to him and trying to calm him down and make him happy and the original video is only like 45 seconds long. I'm sorry, but he makes these pouty faces and they are hilarious to us. I had to share a few:
