My little love muffin...

My new favorite picture... I took it last night. Nathan and I were the king and queen of the "long arm photo" (I probably have at least 100 long arm pictures of Nathan and I pre Logan) but with our new fancy pants camera it is hard to do. This was my first successful snapshot with the long arm approach.

Logan is becoming quite the professional photo subject. He squeezed right up to me when I asked him if he wanted to take a picture with mommy! *sigh* I be so in love with my little love muffin!

Logan's first kiss...

As my few previous posts clearly states - Logan fancies himself a little gal named Izzy. Today when I picked him up he was saying goodbye to his friends he walked over and gave Izzy a hug as usual. Then he went in for a big wet one! HA! Izzy seemed please since they both clapped afterwards. HA! It was great!

And now we are home... listening to him scream his way through a tantrum. Oh the joys of toddler mood swings.... *sigh*

Yet another sledding post...

Are you sick of snow and sledding pictures? Eh - you'll survive. Saturday we spent the day at my parents with sledding and our annual German dinner! YUUUUUUUUUUM!!

Some of our extended family (my mom's side) came out to enjoy the day as well. We had a great time!

I am home "sick" today - actually I'm feeling better, but there is nothing pressing going on at work so I'm going to get stuff done at home. I was sick all day yesterday... the kind of sick where you don't know if you should sit or kneel in the bathroom. Yeah - it was GREAT! We got another dumping of snow overnight as well and it is a winter wonderland outside!! Enjoy the photos!

Look at that Angel Face boy of mine!

Uncle Nate and Piper - it was REALLY bright in the morning and I had the camera on the wrong setting... oh well.

INCOMING... compliments of my brother.

We're father and son... I think Logan is starting to look more like his daddy.

My handsome nephew Thomas!

Weeeeeeee!!!

My sister-in-law Sarah was flying down the hill!

Tommy wrapped himself around his daddy and they went flying! (in the morning Tommy sledding into a pine tree and then went REALLY far and sled right into the creek! EEK! Scared the crap out of me - thankfully he was fine, but we really need to teach that kid how to bail off the sled!!)

Logan was trying to participate in the snowball throwing antics. He'll be lethal someday!

I am seriously addicted to Toddler Hugs... seriously. I need a 12 step program.

My favorite picture from the day... My brother, my nephew and their little snowman!

GROUP SHOT! What a fun time!!! Can't wait til next year!

Pictures of Logan and his girly friend...

Check out these blond-haired blue-eyed cutie pies from pajama day yesterday at the Adventure Center! I especially love the one where Izzy is going in for a kiss, but also the one where Logan is like, "hold up girly - they are taking my picture!" ha! At least we have no question that my boy likes having his picture taken! HAHA!

All we needed was slow motion...

It seems to this Momma that my Mr. Man has a little crush on one of his gal-pals at daycare. Her name is Izzy and she is quite the cool little lady. Curly white blond hair and big blue eyes. The kids always have a day report sheet that covers how they ate, what filled their diapers and fun things they did that day outside of eating and pooping. On Tuesday Logan's talked about all the fun things he did with Izzy. They chased each other, pushed each other on the bikes, played follow the leader and such.

During pick up on Tuesday Logan and I were in the reception area and Izzy and her mom, Kari were down by the Toddler 1 room. I pointed out to Logan that she was down the hall and off he went. I swear to you all we needed was a flowing meadow and slow motion and it would have been a cinematic moment! Kari (who is wicked cool by the way) and I were cringing because we totally expected them to just slam into each other and one or both would totally bite it. Thankfully the two just ended up in a loving toddler embrace and then giggled down the hallway. So sweet!

Today was pajama day for Toddler 1 and they both were busting out their footie pajamas. Their teachers took some pictures of them together and I will post them after they get scanned. I just have some print outs of small versions on computer paper. So I'll scan them tomorrow at work! SO STINKIN CUTE!

Another thing I don't want to forget...

I like to use my blog as a way to get things "on paper" so I don't forget them as Logan gets older. I love love my sweet boy more than words can express. When he was little I sat in the chair in the corner of his nursery and after a few weeks I had starting singing this same melody over and over. Then I started adding words and after another week I had Logan's Lullaby created. It is something I sing to him every time I put him to bed.

So the thing I don't want to forget. Taking Logan up to his room after a dozen kisses blown to Daddy and a half dozen "bye byes" and waves. Sitting down in his chair and he stands on my legs and bends over so his head is on my shoulder. As I sing his song every time I take a breath or pause for any reason he pulls his head up and kisses me then cuddles back down. Some of the time he will find it funny and after each kiss he will giggle. Which ends up making me giggle and then it is a cycle of singing, kisses and giggles. hehe.

It is such a sweet little time for us and I don't want to forget the times when he would cuddle in and kiss his momma over and over again during the simple melody of a song.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you all had as wonderful a day as we did here in SE Michigan! Went to church even though Nathan and I are suffering majorly with some WICKED colds and congestion... seriously horrible. That was the worst part of our day for sure! ha!

We stopped for a few groceries after church and then home for lunch. Logan was a love muffin all day which is always great. Nathan and I have never been big on doing a ton for Valentine's Day, but we started writing each other love letters back when we were dating so that has been our tradition. We exchanged letters and that is always a great feeling to hear about how loved you are!

While Logan was napping I baked up some sugar cookies to decorate later. I've been trying to focus on Logan being a big boy so I'm trying to think of more big boy things for him to do beyond just playing with toys and reading books as per our usual. This was a perfect opportunity! And I must say Logan was great at it! I showed him what to do on the first couple cookies and he was on a roll after that!

He was getting annoyed when the sprinkles were sticking to his fingers so he would randomly feed them to me. I must really love this boy because I DETEST sprinkles completely. *shudder*

He of course had to hold a cookie in one hand and would randomly take a bite while working on the other cookies.

He was so intent on what he was doing.

Time out for a cookie bite!

Momma was in charge of the red sugar because I didn't trust him with it. BUT - he was a good boy and only would pick up a pinch or two and put it on the cookies.

I am not liking getting my picture taken, but I figured since I am in so few I probably should start so Logan knows his mom was actually present in his early days!

My little Valentine

ALL DONE!

Double fisting - Toddler Version.

Nathan showed Logan how to dip his cookie directly in the sugar (as he was doing) and eat it that way. What a great Dad he has... lol

Daddy's Valentine!
I hope everyone had a great LOVE day!

Logan's Valentines from School

They handed out their Valentines at school today. It was so cute to see Logan coming out with his little bag that he colored. When we got home and Logan wanted to check out his goodies. It was really fun to watch him pull everything out. I will say though his favorite thing was his own valentine! ha I must have had one too many and Logan got the extra one! hehe

Snow Day Part Two!

When Nathan called and said he was on his way home from work I got Logan all bundled up and headed outside. It was perfect timing as Nathan pulled in right as we walked out! We were only out for about 10 minutes because it was REALLY cold and Logan is still has the ear infection thing going. BUT - we couldn't resist the whole winter wonder land!

We thought that Daddy has done a lot of pulling Logan around so we thought that it would be nice for Daddy to get a break and have Logan pull him around. HA!

Jekyll and Hyde at the dinner table

I must say that if Logan continues to be the love machine he is now then he is going to make some woman very very happy someday. Long story short...Logan loves to blow kisses. Logan will blow us kisses when we ask him to, he will blow us kisses when we say we love him, he will blow us kisses when we say bye bye or night night or make any sound resembling a kissy one. He will blow us kisses over the phone, over the monitor, over the baby gate when trying to convince us to let him in to a room we don't want him in. It is quite comical.

Here is a video from dinner the other night.

THEN - about 5 minutes later he started growling. And then Nathan started growling. And Logan started growling louder. Male bonding at his finest! Someone has to love these two - it might as well be me!

A nice cozy reading corner

Logan is quite the little reader. Typically it is on our laps, but more lately he is reading on his own. He will sit down in the middle of floor to read, but since he got this super cool Logan sized chair he has opted for that! I like to think of this as his lovely reading corner as his bookshelf is full right next to him.

Please notice in the picture below: Logan is wearing a onsie that is unhooked on the outside of his pants. Nathan took these pictures when I was gone earlier this week and it seems that after a certain time of night Nathan chooses not to put his clothes back on totally correctly as it is so close to bedtime. HA! cracked me up.

SNOW DAY!!!

SNOW DAY!

Boss told me to stay home today (I brought work home with me yesterday) and I worked a bunch this morning so that was good. Logan spent last night at my parents' house and mom brought him back around lunch time. After nap time I busted out the left over play doh I had from last night's Valentine's.

Logan sat like such a big boy at his Logan sized table and we had a great time playing with the play doh. Logan didn't do much of anything besides bang it together, bang it with his hand and stick his fingers in it. Toward the end I convinced him it was great fun to squeeze it between his fingers. lol I'm looking forward to doing more play doh fun with him on these snowy cold days - or warm summer days - I'm not picky.

I'm hoping Nathan makes it quickly home from work and we can go outside and play in all this snow we have on the ground! Maybe another blog post tonight if we do make it outside for snow time!
I hope you enjoy the pictures below. The second to last one you can see the tears about to fall. I had told him not to eat the play doh and he didn't take that suggestion too lightly. Thankfully he started smiling as quickly as he started crying!

I highly encourage the other mom's of little ones to give play doh a try - definitely a supervised activity, but it was great fun!

OH - and HAPPY 18 MONTH BIRTHDAY TO MY SWEET BOY!
