Easter Egg Hunt Mania!!

*SIDE NOTE* I just finished typing up a lovely post about our Easter adventures and Blogger wouldn't let me post it and deleted everything I wrote. GRRRRRR!!!*

Let's try this again...

Our Easter weekend was a great time filled with family and celebrating Jesus' Resurrection. It was also full of egg hunts - three to be exact and Logan was loving ever minute of it!

We surprised Nathan's parents and stopped out to their church for what we thought was just an egg hunt. Since there were a lot of activities before the actual hunt and we had plans we decided to leave early. Nathan's mom ran and grabbed Logan one of the bags and Logan was able to have his own solo egg hunt! What fun! Logan loved it! Look at all those eggs! After we left their church we headed over to spend the rest of the morning/afternoon with Nathan's grandparents. It was a really nice and relaxing visit with them.

Sunday morning we woke up early so the Easter bunny could hide eggs and Logan's basket. He (or in our case She) did a great job! We had to wake Logan a little early so we could have our activities, eat breakfast and get ready and to church on time. I told Logan we needed to go downstairs and find all the eggs we decorated. Logan quickly informed me they were in the refrigerator.... true enough that is where he put them after we colored them on Friday. Good point buddy. ha! He was running all over and was a blur of activity looking for his eggs. He did a great job of it too and only had to be given a general location to look in a few times, but found most on his own. He was BEYOND thrilled to open the "treasure chest" (as he calls it) and find his basket. I tried really hard to hide the super special part of his basket, but Logan saw Woody's hat and dove right it and forgot to even look at anything else in the basket! He was THRILLED to have a real talking Woody doll. I was later able to show him the rest of the basket and he quickly insisted on putting his new pajamas on. He is such a cutie in them! We then made it to church where I rigged the camera, set the timer and ran over for our family Easter picture. I think it turned out pretty decent. After church we headed home for an early nap for Logan (and Momma!)

After our naps we headed over to my aunt and uncle's house for still more egg hunting and Easter baskets. Logan is left handed and his baseball mitt is for someone who is right handed (it was bought before we really realized his was going to be a lefty.) Included in my parents beautiful basket was a NEW mitt perfect our little left handed guy. Logan again was thrilled and quickly forgot to look at anything else that in his basket! ha! Logan wanted to go right outside and play catch. I'm fairly certain he played with almost everyone there. It was pretty cute. The kid has an arm on him - that is for sure! Even Baby Wolfe got in on the action and my parents had a little basket for the baby with some new pajamas and such. It was adorable! (I think it is starting to click that I'm REALLY having another baby... I think....)

It was such an abundantly blessed Easter. I can't wait to see what these pictures look like next year with a more grown up Logan and our newest little bundle of joy! EEK! So exciting!

Easter Egg Fun!

Last night we went big... 2 1/2 year old + egg dye + dining room with carpeted floor = possible disaster! Thankfully - it was a rip roaring success! The only problem was that we should have had more than just 13 eggs! Logan did a great job - he was pretty gentle with the eggs, we only had one egg crack a bit, but that wasn't Logan's fault so it works. Logan was so excited by the colors and thank the Lord the mess was VERY manageable. I love the look of the egg dye color... so bright and springy. My favorite of the eggs are the blue ones - they always seem to take the color the best.

Here are a sample of the pictures Nathan/I took last night.

Momma and Logan with his first batch of eggs in the colors.

Daddy's turn for a picture. Nathan told Logan that they were going to make silly faces at the camera. Then Nathan just smiled. Logan went for it though. ha!

Our self timer picture. :) I should have double checked that we weren't off center, but I love the picture none the less!

He is so pleased with himself!

Such concentration

Love that he still sticks his tongue out when he is in super concentration mode.

LOVE this picture!! He was shouting, "I DID IT!!"

Some of the finished products

Then he went through each and every egg and made Nathan take a picture of every single one. It was super cute and he was so proud of himself!

I can't wait to hide the eggs all over the house for Logan to look for and then he will get his super awesome Easter basket. He is going to flip when he finds the "talking Woody" doll he has been talking about non stop for a while. ha! Really looking forward to seeing his face.

Happy Easter all...

I asked Jesus, "How much do you love?" Jesus replies, "This much." And stretched his arms on the cross and died. The whole world needs to hear of redeeming love! Have a blessed Easter!

Mixin' it up!

Saturday morning Logan peaked inside the pantry and found a box of pudding mix and quickly asked/demanded to make some after breakfast. Since I am not a chocolate pudding fan it was a father/son activity. The boys did a great job and Logan was great at following directions and being patient while the pudding cooled down in the fridge. He kept yelling at me to come see him stir and watch the pudding bubble and everything else. Logan is nothing if not inclusive. He likes to include everyone in the activities. Here we have pictures catching everything from the cooking to the eating - the boys favorite part I think!

A little summer in spring! FUN!

I really feel like Spring has taken its sweet time to get its act together and make it warm. I mean really - it is the middle of APRIL - no more coldness, cold rain, overcast grossness... enough is enough I say! Thankfully Mother Nature got her act together this weekend and gave us a BEAUTIFUL Sunday. It was supposed to be super warm, but have thunderstorms. THANK THE LORD the storms decided to hold off til over night into Monday so we had a fantastic day to enjoy our backyard. I ran to pick up some more sand to finish filling up Logan's sandbox. Nathan was very very excited about the sandbox so the sand was a great surprise for both the Logan and Nathan. I had to capture some pictures of them playing in the sand. ENJOY!
(Logan was making tractor noises in this picture.)

I love this last picture - Nathan and Logan were laughing so hard in it that Logan couldn't stop twisting in his swing and they were going crazy with giggles. Love these two so much!

Well hello there little baby!

I wanted to get this typed out before I forgot to do it. I felt the baby move! :) :) :) I forgot what a great feeling it is! It is quite early, but I felt Logan in the 15th week with a placenta in the front. This placenta is in the back so I'm more apt to feel more with this little baby. Just a few little flutters here and there during the day and last night. Such a great great great blessing to finally be able to physically connect with the baby through more than just the umbilical cord! :) I have much more to say about our past weekend and things that are going on, but that will have to wait, but I'll get to it ASAP!

A Silly Potato Head Photoshoot

Logan has been given three Mr. Potato heads in his life... we have Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee (both Transformer references) and a Buzz Lightyear. For the longest time Logan would put them together and they had to be a very specific arrangement. Any deviation from that and watch out - NO GOOD! He was VERY VERY strict with how they should look. Then about two months ago he was done with them. Had no interest in playing with them. Then last week he threw caution to the wind and now wants to make "silly face potato heads" (according to him.) He and Daddy put them together and Logan looks and starts laughing at how "silly" they are. Sometimes he will lay them down and tell them to take a nap while he is the bath and such. It is pretty funny. Last night he made his silly potato heads and I decided we should take some pictures which turned into about 10 minutes of silly picture taking....
Logan posing with this three silly potatoes!

He then asked for Daddy to be in the picture too.
This is my favorite - Buzz mixed with Optimus Prime with a little old school Potato Head nose thrown in for the fun of it!

Logan then asked for Momma to take his picture... I of course did.

Then he and Daddy made a go of making silly faces together. HA!

The most "normal" smiling picture I got.

Daddy and Logan are two very silly guys! Such buddies!

My sweet boy and I. Love him to bits! And I love this picture. I don't have a ton of pictures of us that I actually can tolerate myself so this makes me happy.

Logan asked me to make a silly face and HE took my picture. :)

Last of the silly pictures as Logan was hiding from my camera phone - but I caught him!

A good time had by all and tonight I think he and I will be making muffins! FUN FUN FUN! Happy Weekend All!

Just for Baby Wolfe

Yesterday Nathan and I got another little peak at our newest little addition. It is amazing feeling to KNOW you are pregnant, NOT feel pregnant, NOT feel a baby move and then the sonographer puts the wand on your belly and POOF there is a baby on the screen. Last week the baby was wiggling all over. Yesterday baby seemed to be asleep with its hand on its face. Cracked me up. They were able to get all the measurements they needed and baby slept through the whole thing. The poor sonographer was bouncing the wand on my belly trying to get the baby to move the hand. Here is the best picture from yesterday. Baby's hand is on the face, you can see most of the profile. The knees are tucked up and you can see the leg/foot. Good stuff. Love it! Our next scheduled peek will be June 1st when we find out his this little person is a boy or a girl! CAN'T WAIT!!

Logan the Lumberjack!

If you remember this post you will remember that Logan loves to work/help outside. This boy is a do-er/helper extraordinaire. There is very little that gets accomplished in our lives that isn't touched in some way by Logan. This past weekend we went out to Nathan's parents house to help cut down and burn some fallen branches from trees damaged in an ice storm earlier this year. (By "WE" went to help - I mean Nathan and subsequently Logan - I did nothing but visit with Nathan's family and sit on my booty.) Logan went right outside with the his Daddy and Papa to get to work. It was so funny to look out the window and see Nathan dragging a large limb down and Logan dragging a Logan sized limb down the hill and before Nathan could turn around to go back up Logan was already half way back up the hill to get another one. That boy was a worker! He also did a great job keeping the two big boys in line and working hard. After nap time the first thing Logan wanted to do was go back out and help and that he did. It was so fun to watch!
