Feeling pretty sore and sorry today, though a bit more mobile by the evening and the dog walk went OK.

My ride to the crit, which ended prematurely when I crashed on tram tracks. I've lived in this city for 17 years, and I have never done this before, it was so stupid and I don't even know how it happened! I was going out and around someone on Gertrude St (something I've done plenty of times before) but this time I didn't do it successfully.
I definitely sustained a head knock because I don't really remember getting off the road and then next thing I knew there was an ambulance. It was actually a St John's ambulance that apparently just happened to be passing and saw me fall - apparently they have a duty of care to stop. Also a woman I knew from my cycling club was also passing at that exact moment and stopped with me!
Wounds seem to be superficial (knee, hip and elbow) with a couple of cuts to my face from I guess my sunnies / helmet and an oddly bruised eyelid. My hip / thigh is going to have a hell of a bruise and my elbow is stiff and painful so will have to just keep an eye on it and x-ray if it gets worse.
Bike seems OK, a couple of little paint scratches :( . Mostly annoyed that I missed the last crit of the season!

Vic Series at Mt Tarrengower. Great course set by Jensen. Enjoyed it very much. Love this area! Made 1 mistake, I forgot that you run fast downhill and dropped too low on #5, maybe 2min lost. The rest was pretty good, certainly lacking any aggression or precision but at least not making big mistakes. Not running particularly fast, chest still not 100%.

Day 2 of the Hawthorn women's weekend. A loop south to Kyneton through Campbell's Creek, Irishtown & Lauriston where we had lunch, then back to Castlemaine through Metcalfe, Faraday and Chewton. Frustratingly got a flat on the gravel section past Glenluce. A nice route though, and a good group again.
