Bumble. 1st overall. No Chris Gross to challenge, and Jon T. was stuck in traffic even worse than I was, so missed the official mass start. Not sure if he perhaps beat me overall though? It's quite possible - I had a very clean run - except a 3-ish minute mistake where I mentally skipped backwards one control that is in roughly the same alignment.

Somehow survived the lack of water on course, despite noticing I was thirsty 30% of the way through. Drank a lot after.

Importantly - my knees (only left in the sleeve) held up well - only a little sore after - though wore the brace in the car all the way home - and knee was pretty much fine walking in the evening.

Edit - apparently Jon didn't quite get me...

Note

Wore left knee brace most the day, nothing on right (as it's pretty much fine now) - and from probably 10am on, zero pain in both knees. Fingers crossed I'm getting toward the end of this (and reminder to self to keep up the PT stuff...)
