Music and Mountain Fun

The last week or so has been loads of fun! I was telling someone that there is never a dull moment when I am with my friends and it is so true! We are always laughing and having a good time! Staying up late is what we do best! No wonder I have been sick!!! This week has been a fun one!

Karaoke @ Applebees!
Bean, Snarr, Fenton, Me, Kenzie!

We went one night this week for the first Karaoke night at the Orem Applebees! It was so much fun...we sang, ate, and laughed! We will probably go back!

Picnic w/the gang

Henry, Tyler, Kenzie, Snarr

We decided since we had stake conference this week we would have a little fun after church. We had a yummy breakfast in between the meetings and then went on a picnic in the afternoon. We went up the canyon which wasn't the best idea! We had a couple run ins with Bees! Kenzie got scared cause she hates them, Tyler got stung and is allergic and I got eaten by something but don't know what! We ran home got Tyler medication, scrapped my leg for bites, and took some long naps that were cut short by the bee sting! We had fun despite the trauma and everyone is doing well....I even think Tyler has his arm back to normal!

Rock Band @ The Bachelor Pad

After our adventure in the mountains we headed over to the boys house to play rock band. A bunch of people from the ward and friends of the boys were there and we rocked out for hours! It was loads of fun! We liked it so much we played it again the next night! I am much better at singing than I am on the guitar and drums.....but with enough practice we may just be ready for the big leagues!

Birthday Celebrations

The weekend before my birthday my friend Haylie and I went to celebrate! We got manicure and pedicures, went to dinner, saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and had ice cream! The next day we headed up to Snowbird for the week! I was super excited and ready for a vacation! The only bad thing was that I got sick! I was super sick on my birthday and spent most of the day sleeping....I didn't catch any photos of the actual day cause I was not doing well! But it was a fun day anyway! Thanks to my family for the decorations, good dinner, and cake! The day after I had a couple of friends come to Snowbird and we had a fun time..eating, playing ping-pong, swimming, and playing Phase 10! Thanks guys!

I went to the doctor a day or so later and found out I had a sinus infection AND ear infection! No wonder I wasn't doing well! I have been trying to get better since and I think that I might just be on the mend! Needless to say I left the vacation early and took sick time instead of vacation!

My sisters, nieces, and nephews made signs
for me for the BIG day!

Pedicures!

Weekend Fun!

So I am little behind in my postings...but it took me forever to figure out how to create a slide show and even then I had to have Sarah help me get it to work! The slide show below has pictures from the first two weekends in August. I will post later about the two most recent weekends and my B-day.

The first weekend in August my ward went on a camp out up Albion Basin. It was loads of fun....we had tons of great food, good company, and many sleepless nights. I laughed so hard and scared a few people! They think I am so innocent and don't know how to let my hair down! We had a great time and it was fun to get away! The next weekend was filled with loads of fun! I went with a couple of my sisters to lunch for my birthday. Which was yummy! Then we had a Larson Cousin get together to watch the video from the Wasatch Back Relay that many of them ran in. It was fun to see many of my cousins, though many were not there and were missed. We had a good time, but for some reason not many photos turned out! :(

The next day we went to the baby blessing of Stephen and Sonja Abu's baby Rhea. Stephen is our "adopted" brother from Ghana. It was fun to go to the Holladay 3rd ward and enjoy reminiscing from when I was a kid and went with Nana and Poppy. It was raining a ton so I didn't get any photos of the event! :( I also had to opportunity to attend the sealing of Rhea to them on Tuesday of last week. And it was amazing, she looked darling and I was glad that I was able to attend and be reminded of what it is all about.

I've been tagged....

THE RULES
1.Post these rules
2.Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
3.Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them(honestly i am not sure what the linking part is supposed to mean!)

My Unspectacular quirks, also know as OCD or CDO if you are that particular:

1-I set my alarm for about forty five minutes before I have to actually get up on work days. I have this weird thing going on in my head that I won't get up if I don't give myself some warning. Though I usually sleep through the alarms. But on weekends I don't need anything and get up at a very early hour (and usually go back to sleep!)

2-I have a HUGE love for OREOS!!! Anything Oreo and I am in heaven! I try hard to get different kinds of shakes or desserts but I always go back to the good old stand by.....and they can't be the fake ones, I can tell!!!

3-I LOVE shoes and handbags. I have a large collection of both and yet find myself always going straight to these sections when I am in a store. I have found most all of them for great deals and have even been know to trade!

4-For as long as I can recall I have been celebrating my birthdays during our week at Snowbird. With the exception of the time on my mission and a couple of years when our family didn't go it has happened like clock work. I can't wait until next week to celebrate....oh wait maybe I can :)!

5-I have this thing about the pens I use. I CANNOT use anything else but these pens. Nothing spectacular about them just love them. I have them at work, home, and in my purse. And if ANYONE takes them I get upset......I have to have my pens!

6-Since Sarah married John I only like to have him wash my car. He started washing my care for me when they were dating and I was away at school. I try to do it or even have others do it but it just isn't the same! Unfortunately I go too long between washes since he can't always do it!
Believe it or not this was harder than I thought to think of these things!

Texting Grandma....

My mom is one that loves to send text messages and I get a lot from her (love them mom!) but many of my friends can't believe that my mom can text! I have one up on her though that was hard for even me to believe. Today at lunch I spotted a grandma texting! Now this may not be a odd occurrence as my own mom is in fact a grandma, but this one was probably about 75+!!!! I watched her cause I thought she was just dialing a number but it lasted too long and then I asked my friend to verify that it was in fact a grandma texting! And yes she agreed! I laughed and then wished that I had my camera so that I could document this event but alas not in the bag! I hope I can continue to stay up on technology as I age like her!

Friends

I have been thinking a lot lately about how blessed I have been in my life to have such great friends. After spending some late nights this last week chatting with a few of them about my life's issues, frustrations, and joys I am reminded that I have ALWAYS had great friends! I have shared so much with them and learned many things from them all.

I know that I have not always been the best friend.....sorry Amy for locking you in the basement! But I still wanted to play!!! But I truly do cherish the things that I have learned from so many in my life. I count my sisters and mom among some of my dearest friends as well, they have always been there for me in all that I do.

So I dedicate the Golden Girls theme song to all who I call a friend!...."Thank you for being a friend, traveled down the road and back again, your heart is true, your a pal and a confidant. Thank you for being a friend!"

Love you all!!!
