Summer time fun!

With this hot summer we've been having we've spent most of it getting wet!
The kids love going to a near by splash park!

Ava trying to be silly!

We are so glad that our complex has a pool that we can use, which is surprisingly never crowded when we go! The kids have discovered the hot cement is a good way to get warm!

Ava has learned to swim this summer, she loves showing us and gets mad if we aren't watching her!
                                               Tricks!
Hanging out. I love that these two are best of friends!
We love to go and get ice cream cones from McDonald's after swimming, yummy treats!
                                  Messy treats!

Partying in San Diego

We've had a couple parties in San Diego in July.
We first headed down for the Fourth of July to my Aunt Cathy's house. We had a blast in their beautiful pool! It's heated by solar panels so the water was almost 90 degrees. The kids loved this because they never got cold, so they just swam all day long!

Bryce who had been currently afraid of the water decided that he no longer had any fear and we couldn't keep him out!
We all loved the water slide, especially Ava who asks me at least once a week when we are going back to play on the water slide!
Our little dare devil, Ava, also loved jumping off all the different rocks and waterfalls!
After a yummy bbq we also made some yummy s'mores!

We went down a couple of weeks later and partied at Aunt Becky's house when a bunch of my cousins were visiting. Ava became bff's with Izzy (my cousin's daughter) and was her shadow all day long! Carly was such a good sport!

Bryce found a good use for the hammock swing, he got some pretty good air on this thing going in circles!

So fun to spend so much time with our extend family lately!

Bryce turns two!

My little man turned two! So crazy. On his birthday we kinda just hung out and played at the playground, had Bryce's favorite pasta dish for dinner and then cupcakes for dessert.

Cupcakes!
He actually only licked the frosting off, didn't even touch the cupcake.

We had a small party with mainly family and a few friends on the 9th.
the invite.

He had a dog themed birthday party, so hence the dog bowl cake I made.

Dog themed food
beef jerky
 baked chips and humus
 coco puffs

Craft table.
Each kid got to pick out and decorate dog ear head bands and decorate a dog tag necklace with their name on it and get there face painted like a dog.

We played a game where each kid had to find a dog bone with their name on it hidden on the playground. Unfortunately, all the parents probably hate me since the dog toys all made the most annoying squeaking noise. But the kids loved them!

Chow time, hot dogs of course.

All the gifts! Thanks so much to all who shared in this special day and spoiled our child!
We love you Bryce man, Happy Birthday!
