Bloomin'

My daylilies are growing like crazy! Everyday we go outside to take a look at them!
Pete and Avery were "playing feet". They have started to interact with each other a bit more lately. Especially when they are getting burped!! They love to watch the other get burped - it gives them the biggest smile!

Some shots of Avery . . . doing what she's best at . . . looking cute and smiling at her Daddy (he's the one taking the pic!)

I love the look on his face! Why is it that the kids take the best pictures when I have on crummy clothes and no makeup!! hee hee

Pete's bouncy seat - He LOVE LOVE LOVES it!!

We just got the other exersaucer together (a big thank you to "Big" Pete's mom!). It's funny to watch the two of them play at the same time. I definitely don't want to give them labels, but they are so different in their play styles. Pete seems like such a boy, banging the toys around and Avery seems to gingerly touch and really look at the toys! If you look really closely at Pete you will see a HUGE smile!

When Daddy feeds me

The title says it all. . . Miss Avery was trying to enjoy some peas, but something seemed to go terribly wrong! hee hee She definitely had to take a bath after this meal!

Miss Roly Poly

She started on the mat, right next to Pete . . . I walked out of the room for a little while and when I came back, Miss Roly Poly was not on the mat anymore! I know its not far, but it's the first time that has happened! Just in the past few days she has been rolling around like crazy anytime I put her down.

New Friend

Congratulations to our friend Heidi(center of picture) on the birth of her and Luke's new baby, Mark. In this picture is Pete, Avery, baby Mark, Heidi and Braden (Rachael and Chris' son). All of the babies are fairly close in age which is pretty amazing! When we took this picture, we were joking about how crazy it would be to have 4 or 5 kiddos at once. Can you imagine if all of these kiddos were yours?!!! haa haa

Fun Friday

We're just playing around on this Friday morning. We have been cooped up for days because the weather has been horrible! But, today the sun is shining and it is gorgeous outside!! This might be the last "cool" day before the heat hits!

Our GG bought us these cute little outfits!! I wish I had as many outfits as these kiddos have!!!

The babies have their hands in their mouths all the time. I can see the little teeth right under their gums. We haven't had to much trouble with them yet. . . please let this teething thing be easy!!!

I don't know if you are a "Calvin and Hobbs" fan, but Pete reminds me of Calvin everytime I try to take a "good" picture. Calvin always makes a silly face right when the camera clicks . . .and that's my little boy!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Before I became a mother, I never knew -
- that a toothless grin and giggle could make me so happy
- that I would be able to give unconditional love so freely
- the pride I feel towards my husband for providing for our family
- the admiration I feel towards my mother for all of her selfless acts
- the happiness of seeing my baby smile first thing in the morning
- how tiny accomplishments make me feel proud for myself and my children
- the hopes, dreams and fears I have for someone so small and new
- how wonderful life could be and all the limitless possibilities for our future
Before I became a mother, I never knew.

Our first cold

It finally happened, we got a little sick around here. I'm really not complaining, because it really hasn't been that bad. The babies are doing remarkably good. They seem to have the opposite effect of other babies when they are sick - it doesn't make them sleepy, they seem more awake than ever! We're just doing alot of laying around and boy, do they hate getting their noses cleaned!

Elephant

In Pete's crib, his bumper has jungle animals all over it. We started noticing about a month ago that he seemed to focus in on one paticular animal - the elephant. Then he started smiling at it every time I put him in the crib. He truly will turn his head and find elephant and just smile and smile. I finally caught him (with the camera) doing it today after his bath. I've got to figure out how to make elephant travel with us!

On my own

OK OK - So, I thought that I could drive to Houston to visit the fams, see some friends, and hang out while Pete was out of town. Yea, I did it but won't do it again by myself!

So moral of the story: Don't take two infants on a road trip unless you have some help!
