A couple of weeks ago, we headed to Palm Springs for the Weenig Family Reunion. We stayed at the La Quinta Resort and it was PERFECT! Everyone's rooms were around one of the pools and we SWAM, hung out, ate, celebrated birthdays, and most of all enjoyed each other's company! Can't wait till 2011.

Today's The Day

I'm fighting sleep because I know when I wake up the "day" will officially be here. I didn't think I would be nervous, but I guess I am a little. I've taken the Xanax my md prescribed and am starting to feel the affects. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep in and then it's off to surgery. I will be having my deviated septum fixed (REALLY-I do have one and it's one of the reasons my sleep apnea is so bad), a conchabulosa on my turbinate removed, a polyp at the base of my sinus "checked" and removed if needed, and spreader grafts placed in my nasal passages to widen them so I can finally breathe normally. My dr. is a family friend and is also "throwing in" a nose bob-yeah, no more witch nose! I guess this procedure can have a pretty rough recovery which is really the only thing I'm worried about-that and not being able to go in public for at least a week and having to take it easy for a month. I AM excited the day is finally here and that very soon my health will be at 100%. I have to stay overnight at the surgery center and then I'll be recovering at my Mom and Dad's house while Matt holds down the fort at home. I'll post updates and pictures when I'm pretty again.

Mommy/Daughter Date Night!

Whenever the father/son campout rolls around, it's a great excuse to spend quality time with my girls. I decided to treat my daughters to one of my favorite activities-getting a pedicure! Of course they loved it and keep asking to go back (after the $100 price tag it'll be awhile!)
After a dinner of Subway (hey, mama's dieting) we headed over to Monee's new house to PARTAY. The girls loaded up on lots of goodies, played, and watched a movie...
While the mommies giggled.
Thanks again Monee for the invite! It was a blast.
