Grant is finally sitting... well sort of

Grant loves his new high chair that Grandma and Grandpa Titera sent him for Christmas. It's an original, hand-crafted Amish chair that can be laid down for a table or flipped over as a rocking horse. 3-in-1... it's the coolest thing ever! Sometimes I wish I were Amish so I could be amazing, too. Grant has been practicing sitting up in this, but mostly he leans over and eats the wooden bar.

Yes, folks, he is sitting on his own. This was taken on Sunday, when he could sit for a few minutes at a time. Now he sits for at least 5 minutes before he wipes out. The funniest thing is that he doesn't cry when he face plants; he just wiggles back to his tummy, like he meant to do that.

Thanksgiving in Sacramento

Long time, no post.... sorry. Even though we're now approaching Christmas, I thought I would post our Thanksgiving trip to Sacramento. We went by car, plane and train. The whole Titera clan met up for a great dinner, visiting, Dorothy's pies, more visiting and a lot of "spoil Grant with attention" time. We loved it!

Grant had a chance to catch up with Grandpa

Our lovely spread, thanks to Grandma Dorothy. I ate twice as much as Mike and almost as much as Will.

Grant got his first rice cereal feast as Jenny partook of ice cream.

He really didn't sleep much the whole trip- just some cute little naps as everyone passed him around.

Oh, wow. Here's Jenny eating more ice cream. Go, Jenny, go.

The day after Thanksgiving, we went with Sandy to the temple for her first experience. She's on her way to the most amazing mission in the world...
Salt Lake City Temple Square.
Rumor has it that only the pretty sisters get called there. In their defense, most of them are smart and funny, as well.

When we were all in the session, apparently Jenny had more ice cream.

Linda with sleepy Grant

Look at my wonderful husband. I love that man!!

All of us at the Sacramento Temple

Down time back at Linda's place

Grandpa had the special touch! He put Grant to sleep more than a few times.

This would be the aftermath of Will's shopping spree. I had to let him buy it. He was like a little boy on Christmas morning when he saw the little Santa suit... and he wanted it.

Jenny finished off the ice cream right before we rushed the girls to catch their train. She really likes ice cream, apparently.

We had 10 minutes to get these girls to their train. So, Bill drove like a maniac, missed a few turns and finally made it to the station. The train was late, so we hung out and enjoyed the beautiful California weather.

Our train didn't leave until midnight.. and arrived at 3pm the next day!! What an adventure.

Dorothy and Bill watched us pull away from the station- most likely Dorothy is crying, but it was too dark to tell.

And this is how we slept... usually no more than an hour at a time! The perfect ending to a perfect trip.
