Will turned 30 on the 23rd! I didn't plan any big birthday bash, just some free meals and a decadent cheesecake. He took the day off, so we could all hang out. He helped me make the cheesecake, then we rushed off for a late breakfast. Before I tell you about the next adventure, let me just say that this picture confesses mistake number one...

Anytime we're getting ready to leave somewhere, Grant takes the keys, puts them in the ignition and "drives" while we finish getting everything ready. Well, we were just leaving to go shopping and Grant decided to "drive." Will shut the door and Grant immediately locked it. "Hee. Hee. Fun!" He was all smiles as we tried to coax him out. And even though he has used the remote to unlock the car several times, the heat must have gotten to him because he did NOT unlock it. Luckily, Will made an extra set of keys last month for moments like this. Unluckily, those were in my purse... in the car. Anyone who's every been to AZ in August knows it's uninhabitable and can get up to 150 degrees in a locked car. So, after 10 minutes and a very sweaty, now crying boy, we called the police. In 1 minute, we had 2 cop cars, an ambulance, a firetruck and 20 big men at our house. The policeman smashed the window and Grant was rescued. After a cold bath and a few temperature readings, they let him sit in the firetruck and gave him his own hat. He hasn't really taken it off yet...

We still had time for a little fun at Bounce Jungle. It's for toddlers, but we liked it just as much as Grant did.

Oreo cheesecake with ganache topping!
