Photography

My mom, sister and I are taking a photography class through the city. It's been fun and have realized that even though I have a small point and shoot camera, I can still get some great shots. I am learning what to look for and how to set the camera up. Right now it takes me a long time to even get ready to shoot, but hopefully with time I will get faster. Our first project was pattern, texture, color . . . . . . really anything. So below are my final 3 pictures that I took in for a critique. Our teacher really liked how they turned out. She suggested to take a picture of the Bass more vertical, which Doug agreed with. I know its not eye catching, but for some reason I like how its diagonal. Here they are - Enjoy!

So what did you think? Well our next project is to shoot landscape. Honestly not too excited about this one, but once I have 3 good pictures I will post them too.

The Life of a Toy

My mom bought Rosco a new stuffed toy at a Thrit Store up in Heber. He loves these kinds of toys, but doesn't seem to make them last. Here is the progress of this poor toy.

We left Rosco with his new toy as we went to dinner.

This was the crime scene when we returned home.
He successfully got the arm off.

He is very proud of his work.

Although he's got a long way to go.
But for us it was bed time.

The next morning, you can't even tell what
the toy use to be. And it looks like it had snowed.

More Christmas

Well I finally got some more of my christmas photos :-) Doug and I had a great Christmas. We traveled back and forth from his parents and my parents meeting up with family. We enjoyed the day, but it went by pretty quickly. We hardly had time to exchange gifts with eachother, crazy huh! We did fit it in and both were thrilled with what we got. Doug got me tickets to "O" the Cirque De Solie show in Vegas and I got him tickets to a Led Zeppelin & Symphony show. We got lucky that these events didn't end up on the same night. Both shows were awesome! And now . . . some photos from Christmas day - Enjoy!

Feeding the Ducks

I have always enjoyed going to the park to feed the ducks. I can remeber sitting by the lake with my grandpa and throwing bread to the ducks. Doug and I have also gotten into the habit of going to the same lake and feeding the ducks. It brings back great memories. I can't wait until we have kids and watch them with the ducks. Until that time comes we have Rosco, so we took him to the lake this afternoon and feed some ducks. It was fun, I think Rosco would have liked to chase them instead of sit and watch them. Here are some pictures I took of our ducking adventure.

Make it a good throw.

They are off to another group with better bread.

Isn't he adorable :-)

Christmas Fun

So this will be the first of many posts to update what we did for Christmas. Our computer died, but we were able to bring it back to life! YEAH! So I have some photos on this computer and the rest on our other one. Its gonna be annoying, but I will soon get all of my photos onto one computer :-) Then I can update more about Christmas.

Every year my family goes to see the Zoo Lights. I think each year the crowd we bring gets bigger and bigger. There must have been about 16 of us. I love walking around and looking at all of the lights. I even enjoyed it before the two cuties were around. Now my two nephews make it that much more special. While Jacob and I saw all the pretty lights, we Ohhed and Aahhed. He got really got at it, it was super cute.
