Happy Birthday to ME!

Well last weekend I celebrated my 27th birthday. We went out to dinner with some friends Saturday night and then had a family dinner on Sunday night. It was a good weekend :-) Saturday night we went to Saddle Ranch which has a bull. Well not a real bull a mechanical bull. So since the waiter found out it was my birthday I got a free ride on the bull - actually I got 2 free tokens to ride the bull. So I made a friend ride with me -I convinced Mike, one of Doug's friends and the guitarist in the band, to ride the bull before me. It wasn't too hard to convince him and he didn't do too bad. Saddle Ranch is actually a bit harder on the boys so he did fall off. Then it was my turn. It started out pretty slow but then got a bit crazy. I am proud to say that I stayed on the whole time and kicked butt! It was actually fun and not too embarrassing. I looked like a pro - check it out!

I am ready - bring it on

Photoshop Fun

This summer I have been learning photoshop. Haven't taken any classes yet, but I enjoy playing around with it and learning that way. My photo class had an assignment to take photos like Andy Warhol. This assignment got me started and then I kept going. I have to say - Photoshop is quite addicting. Its fun to manipulate photos. Here are some that I have done so far - I can't wait to learn even more :-)

Knotts Berry Farm

Doug and I had a great trip to California! Knotts Berry Farm was a blast. It wasn't too crowded when we got there, although it got crowded in the afternoon. We rode some rides, had a yummy lunch and watched some shows.

We had dinner at Downtown Disney. It was neat to walk around and listen to the live music they have. We got so close to the Disneyland gates and couldn't help but feel the magic. We were under the magical spell and was about to pay full price for only 4 hours of fun. Luckily we slipped out of the Disney Spell and realized that would not have been a good choice. So we just decided that we will have to go back soon to experience the Disnelyland magic.

It was so great to have a weekend together before I go back to work. Dougs been busy this summer with work and school - I think he needed this weekend to relax.
