Week of Halloween

This week was just another week full of happy-life events.
I finally bought Molly some new digs.
We think Andy looks just like Austin when he was 15.
 More new digs.
 Water-bottle master.
Everyday while I read and nap, this boy sits on me to watch his show.  I really love his warmth.
Tuesday night was our annual Halloween dinner.  Maisie set the table.
Andy was in charge of the dry ice.
I made the most beautiful bread, ever.
These two were cute in their Halloween clothes.
This year we all dressed up as "The Incredibles."  Please notice Eddie's side mask, Molly's fierce pose, Meg's booty, Andy's swag, Nick's flexed muscles, Maisie's nonchalant expression, Maddie's grace, Ryan's pouncing pose, and Austin's leadership.  Happy Halloween!
She posed with those blade hands all night long.
He really is enchanting.
He loves candy.  Not because he eats it, but because he saves it.
Popped leg (those navy tights were not quite what I had in mind, but she rocked them anyway).
His last year living the trick-or-treating dream.
Those two big kids are walking arm in arm.
After-math.
All my long hair.....
Is gone!  My first shoulder-length cut in my whole life.
Waiting for the bus with that trendy hair that is almost curled?
I trained this month for the McDowell Mountain Trail Ragnar on our treadmill.  I ran through Positano (and recognized most of it), Patagonia, Argentina, Peru, France and Flagstaff.
Friday morning Meg had her sectionals race for cross country.
Here's her team.
Here she is about a mile in.
She took 21st and qualified for the state meet next weekend.
She was the star of the paper again this week.
Molly, Ryan and I drive a total of five hours to watch her 21 minute race -- it was totally worth it.  We watched three movies in the bus.
Then!  Austin and I drove 2.5 hours south to run our Ragnar with our captain, Mickey and the rest of our team.
We ran all night long.
Here is our glamping head quarters.
We are waiting for Austin to race.
Here we are all finished.  We each ran 15.5 miles, and our team finished 11th of 347 teams.  I was only behind our team leader by a couple of minutes each leg.  It was really rewarding.
I had never raced with Austin before, that was incredible.
Once finished, we went to Smash Burger for lunch....
then we went to Chipotle next door.  That was fun.
It felt really good to do something so physically demanding.  I've been dealing with so much emotionally, that this race was a perfect release, but also a perfect way to prove that I'm pretty awesome (so is he!), and I can keep up with the big boys!

October

Today was library day and Eddie brought home the best book!  I am buying it today.
These two are the cutest.  We read lots and lots.
Maisie needed a day home, so she chose the day of the playgroup Halloween party.  She lucked out.
My knees are aching post runs.  So, I found a great eight minute yoga stretch on youtube.  I've managed to master a few new poses.
 These veggie quiches were divine.
Andy hit Molly in the eye with his barbell; her black eye was a good one.

Maisie downloaded a new app on my phone.  Many Star Wars characters have been parading around our front room.
My friend just sent me this picture of the Florence train station with his backpack that is as big and heavy as me.  My balance was really off.
Meg keeps on running and winning.
Friday night we hosted our annual adult Halloween party.  I didn't take any pictures.  AHH!  I need to figure out how to get them off facebook and uploaded on here.  Let's just say that the DJ complimented our  70's dance party brilliantly.
Saturday night the two bigs were at the stake dance, so we went to Golden Dragon for a Chinese buffet.  All were in heaven.  It's a once a year kind of event to eat out together.  Austin is the best.
I found these cuties in my photos.
Someone snapped a picture of family choir.  It's going strong as we prepare for Christmas.
Nick, Andy and Eddie will be represented someday. Sorry boys.

Molly's #2

This cutest baby that is loved by everyone at home, church and playgroup is 2!  Sunday morning we managed to open presents before our good bishop headed to his meetings.  She didn't need to be shown twice how to rip open her packages.

I painted her nails and dressed her up for nursery class.  She walked into church telling all her looked her way, "It's my birthday!"  Then, during the opening song she sang, "Happy Birthday to me!"  The members behind us were tickled.  They love her just as much as me.

I made her blueberry muffins (instead of cupcakes) to take to nursery class.  The teachers said they were a hit!
We tried an afternoon nap.  Fail.  Austin came home and made her be still.
While she slept we worked together to make a lovely dinner and party.  Maisie and Molly decorated the butter cupcakes.

We are the luckiest that our Babcock grandparents are close.  They came for all the noise and celebration.
Molly received "Sparky" and loved her instantly.
The rest of evening was spent making Maisie vision, "Fort Emporium."  They created for hours and are always very happy together.
Part of Molly's party was to write what we love about Molly:
Maisie: She always knows the right thing to say.
Eddie:  I Like Molly Becus she is nis.
Daddy: She smiles very big. (All in caps.)
Mommy: She constantly sings to herself.
Andy: She is happy. "I happy!"
Ryan: I like her in my family.
Maddie: Molly is always happy and she like to color.
Nick: She is so nice to everyone.
Meg: Because she runs up and says, "I love you, Med!"
Grandpa B.: "Molly, you are a happy, happy Granddaughter." (All in caps.)
Grandma B.: Cute As A Button
