Well, we are ending the year with very bad news. We were kicked out. I do not even know where to begin. I do not even want to write this post...

So I will just tell you what I know- We were kicked out on the 17th of December and are just now finding out. Nathan's birth certificate has to be redone and they are going to work on it which will probably take a couple of weeks so we will probably not be back in PGN until sometime around Jan 14th.

It is very hard to redirect our hearts and thoughts to now process the idea of not really knowing when he is coming home. My answer for now on is " I have no idea"

Please continue to pray for us and for our sweet baby boy who is growing by the minute while time just passes us by. We do not understand and can not for the life of us see a reason for all this waiting, but he is so worth the wait!

Lord, please help us to understand and please bring our baby boy home.

Nathan's Gifts

Nathan's painting from his Uncle Bryan

Here are most of Nathan's gifts he received this Christmas! He has more at his Gammie's house. We did not open them so when he gets home he can do it himself!! He is one loved little boy!!
Thank you all for Nathan's presents! I know he will love them!

On to 2008...

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Ours started Saturday and did not end until last night. Needless to say, we are tired! It was good to see family, but oh how good it would have been if Nathan was here!!!

Today marks 8 weeks in PGN- no word yet. Please pray for Casey and I as we wait to here an update. Not sure when that will be. I pray it is this week. I promise we will let you know as soon as we here something. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

6 Months Old, Christmas Eve

Well, today is Christmas Eve and we are preparing to make the rest of the family rounds today and tomorrow. Oh how I wish Nathan was here with us! We miss him so very much!!! It has been much harder than what we imagined not having him here this Christmas.

Wednesday is 8 weeks in PGN. As far as we know we have not gotten a kick out nor have we gotten out that we know of. PGN is at half staff so things are moving slower until after the first of the year. I pray we here we are out of PGN after Christmas!! What a HUGE hurdle that would be!!

Happy 6 Months Baby Boy! We Love You and miss you soooo much!!!! I wish I was holding you right now kissing those sweet cheeks! I pray the 3 of us will be together again real soon!!! I pray that you have a wonderful Christmas and you get much love from those who are taking care of you and those who are visiting. I pray you can feel the love of our Savior and our love wrapped around you!!!

Merry Christmas to you all and may God be glorified this Christmas!

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
1 John 4:14

You shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
Luke 1:21

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved though him. John 3:17

Update

Christmas sneak peek!

We got a health update on Nathan yesterday. He is healthy and doing well which is good considering some of the babies are sick with the flu. Please pray that they can get rid of that ugly bug and all the babies can get well.

The report said he weight 15lbs and 7oz and said he had lost about 6oz since last month's update. I am not real sure why he has lost weight. Even though he is a very healthy baby and has weight to loose it is never good to loose 1/2 pound in one month?? I am hoping it was from the two teeth he cut (which he had diarrhea while we were down there as he was cutting the first tooth). Please pray that nothing is really wrong and he will be back up to his "fighting weight" next month! As a nurse and a mommy, it is so hard to sit back so far away from your baby and not know exactly what is wrong and not be able to take them to the doctor yourself and love on them when they are sick.

Tomorrow will be six weeks in PGN. Please continue to pray we will be approved and out for good very soon. Also pray for all the other cases in process. The Guatemala Gov. is suppose to vote today on the amendment regarding the adoption process changes and grandfather clause. I do not understand it all ( I do not think anyone does) but if you want to read more about it or keep up with it go to www.guatadopt.com for the latest updates.

(Also, check out the new post on our family blog if you haven't already- link listed on the side)

Merry Christmas from Nathan

Well, here are our December pictures from EN. Nathan has on one of the outfits we left down there with him. My mom bought this for him and it says on there "Baby's First Christmas". I wish so bad he was at home for his first Christmas so we could celebrate Jesus' birth with our first child. But God's plan and timing is perfect. Please continue to pray we are processed through PGN 8 weeks or less with no more KO's.

girls and their jeans

we love our jeans!

Sweet Feet!

Well the girls came to see us tonight and they had their jeans on. I could not resist taking their pictures! I also had jeans on that looked very much like theirs, but they looked much cuter in theirs ;)
They are getting so big! I can not wait for the day they finally get to meet Nathan. What a joyous day that will be!

I just love these girls!

Nathan's Shower

Last Sunday we were showered with wonderful gifts for Nathan. Thank you to all you came by and gave us the wonderful gifts. We are so blessed. Also, thank you to all the hostesses that gave the shower. It was wonderful.
Now all we need is Nathan!

We also had a wonderful surprise on Saturday! Our friends, The Marek's, came over from Augusta for the shower. I had no idea they were coming! ( Casey knew) It was so good to see them and spend a couple of days visiting. I am so thankful for friends like them.
Thanks again guys for such a wonderful surprise!!

Day 2 and 3 with Nathan

Well, it has taken me a while to post more pictures from our trip. But here is day 2 and 3 from our trip.

On day 2 we just adjusted to being there and let Nathan get use to us. We were extremely tired from traveling. We did go and visit at the orphanage and take the donations we had collected (thank you to all who gave) and also took the care packages for the ones we had.

On day 3 we did a couple of photo sessions with Nathan and just enjoyed being with him. We were still extremely tired from the trip and I am not sure if I mentioned that Nathan did not sleep much the first night so that meant we did not sleep. His teething and cold was getting him off his schedule a little but we were so thankful we were able to be there to comfort him while he was not feeling well.

We miss the little guy so much!!! Not a moment goes by that I do not think about him. I often think about him especially when it is feeding time for him. I guess that is good. Maybe that means I want forget to feed him when he comes home;)

Please continue to pray we will fly through the rest of PGN with out another KO so we can bring our sweet baby boy home! Thanks for your continued love and support!!!

Enjoy the pictures!
