Good day all and a Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's.. My Mom is back from Fla. and her brother came with.. So they came yesterday for a family gathering and it was nice to see her and see my Uncle D again after 10 yrs...We had a great BBQ and lots of food and home made cheeseccake made by my Mother-in-law.. Best stuff ever!

Graeme is growing like a weed and has lost two top teeth in the last 2 weeks.. growing up fast!

Charlie is a huge part of our life and we love him dearly.. he's my snuggle buddy...My garden is growing very plush looking..

Not So Motivated

So its been a bit since I last posted.. around Easter.. Not been feeling the motivation for blogging.. It's a phase I'm sure.. So I wanted to let you all know I am alive and kicking.. and feeling like I need to find something inspiring enough to blog about.. So til then I will try to check in with everyone to get caught up..!

Saturday Scavenger: Egg

I tagged Miss Laura for this weeks word and it's a doozy.. EGG!.. Great word.. especially since Easter is next weekend..

The Apple Of My Eye

So last week we went back to the computer place Future Shop.. and BHM wanted to get another laptop so Graeme could have his own.. While in the store browsing with Graeme.. I saw something that jumped out me.. The new iPad.. I fell in love!.. BHM came over once he found what he was looking for.."What are you looking at?" he asks.. I was playing a game on the sample.. I looked at him and said "I really like this"..So he inquired about it.. it was 16 gigs.. and he had one in black.. okay.. so we grabbed it.. it was Open Box.. which meant they take off a few bucks because it was returned..

By the next morning after discovering that I could sign up for iCloud because it was already registered to the previous user.. In theory they (computer guys) are suppose to check it and make sure it's been cleaned up and nothing on it.. although they don't guarantee that they do.. So we had to go back and BHM needed something anyways.. and I found out that I could get a 32 gig iPad instead for a few bucks more with the protective film.. no extra charge..and I was able to get it all started up and add my iCloud acct..again it was Open Box but the guy that had ordered the film done.. never came to get it.. so they knocked a few bucks again .. Score!

Now I have never owned anything Apple.. not even a phone.. But I have to say Graeme loves the games I put on it and of course a few things that I like to do... I watched a movie on Netflix last night and it was outstanding... high definition and the graphics for the games are fantastic..I really like the front and rear camera on it.. and all my music that I wanted on it.. A very nice early birthday gift..

So for the moment I am very pleased.. and hope to stay that way for awhile.. I can take this iPad on the road.. it gives Graeme something to do while sitting in the car ..I can get wifi on it ..for when we go to the indoor playplace..BHM even got a nice case for it..

Animals are our friends.. most of the time.. I love the animals in my life.. without them it wouldn't be the same!

Up Before The Birds

Last night we had a few beers.. it's been summer-like weather here and we enjoyed them very much.. I think I went to bed early and then I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning.. 4 am ..

wow.. I haven't done that since last summer.. Officially it's not Spring until the 21 st.. but that doesn't change the fact that the weather has been delightful..

More on the way.. Also yesterday I took Charlie out for some walks and during a stint around the corner.. I noticed that the buds on the hedges were greener and starting to bloom....

How I love seeing new life.. Spring is probably my favorite time of year because of that..

BHM bought me a new vacuum.. A Dyson Ball for animals.. it picks up the dog hair really well and so far.. I love my new toy.. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a separate canister for doing the stairs.. so I have to lug it up and down to use the hose and attachments.. I can live with that though..

Today I'm going to visit Jamming Jan.. it's been awhile seeing her.. I talk to her all the time.. but our (mostly her) schedules have not co-operated.. But she is off work for now and liking the fact she can get stuff done around the house while everyone else is gone..

Then tomorrow I'm going to visit with another friend and her baby..

Saturday Scavenger: Crazy

Today is not only St.Patrick's Day.. but it is also SSS.. Crazy is the word for this week chosen by SillyRabbit.. It is also my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary.. But we will celebrate in May when they come down here for a visit.. They live very far away..
