Holiday parties

Tonight we went to Mommy's work party. KIPP went from zero babies to four this year.
From left to right: Isaiah Conner (6 months), Cynthia Washington (5 months), me (3.5 months) and Payton Karacalidis (2 months). I am the next-to-youngest, but the biggest!

This is from Daddy's work party. It was a step up from Mommy's (the Aquarium vs. a Mexican Restaurant). I was not invited, but they said they had a good time.

Fun pictures

Last night Daddy and Mommy took me to my first Jazz game! It was freezing cold, so I got all bundled up. I loved the big arena with all the bright lights! I cheered my heart out until about 8:30 when I fell asleep while sitting up in Daddy's lap. After I fell asleep, the Jazz decided to see how many foul shots they could possibly give to the Hawks... I woke up for the last few minutes of the game and the Jazz were trying to come back, but they just couldn't do it. I left broken-hearted, but I have hope that there will be better games in the future.
Daddy, what in the world is that stuff growing on your face??? Mom is not going to like it...

(Daddy went on a business trip for a week and came back looking like this. Mom and I almost did not let him inside the house. We were not sure if he was Daddy.)

Mommy went to get a haircut at Geoff's salon, and Daddy and I went along to keep her company. While Daddy was changing my diaper I decided to spray all of my clothes soaking wet. We did not have an extra outfit (Why doesn't Mommy learn this lesson???), so Daddy had to throw my clothes in the dryer. I got to sit around naked while they were drying. Mommy could not resist taking my picture because I was sooooooo cute!

I love to put everything in my mouth!

What's up?

SIMPLY ADORABLE.

My first time on a playground!

Last week I went to the playground for the first time! I met up with my buddy Jack, and he showed me the ropes. He seemed to know how to do this whole swinging thing pretty well, but I was a little confused.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

Come on swing, move!

Never mind. I'd rather just eat my hands anyway.

Hey Mom, can you get me out of here? I don't think I really like this much.

I'm ready for Christmas!

Jolly Brendan!

Last year Santa brought Daddy this cool train. I was so excited to wake up one day and find that he had it all set up. Until we got our tree (which happened today), I got to play in the middle!

I asked Mommy to put this shirt on me in celebration of our new train.

An adorable baby...

I messed all over my clothes right before dinner, so Mommy wrapped me up in this cozy blanket until she finished dinner and was able to give me a bath. I looked so incredibly cute she couldn't help but take some pictures...

Hey Payton, let's dance!

On Friday, Mommy and I went to visit her friend Kim and baby Payton. Payton is six weeks old, so I am twice her age (and about twice her size!)! She is super cute, so I decided to dance for her and snuggle up close.

Brendan's First Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving 2007
Here I am with my mom and dad. We went to Kentucky to spend Thanksgiving at Mamaw and Papaw's house. I was spoiled rotten the entire time -- I loved it! Between Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Rick, Aunt Lenore, my cousin Helena, and my mommy and daddy, I was thoroughly entertained the entire time.

Hey - want to celebrate? It is my uncle Rick's birthday AND I turn 11 weeks old today.

Will someone please play with me?

Wow - you people really like to touch babies!

Ha! Look how high my pants are! Aren't you supposed to help a baby out with things like that? Oh well, I am having tons of fun with Papaw, so I don't mind.

Hey look! I am almost ready to sit up by myself! I swear Aunt Lenore and Uncle Rick could move their hands and I could still sit like this. They just had them there because they can't stand to not be touching me.

Who's going to hold me next?

Will I be as cool as my cousin Helena when I grow up?

Freshly bathed!

We went to Gran-Gran's house on Friday (Mamaw's mommy) and I had so much fun!

My cousin Addam came over to Gran-Gran's to meet me for the first time! I loved snuggling with him.

YAY FOR GRANDMOTHERS!

Don't interupt! I am busy playing with my Gran-Gran!

I'll pose nicely for a picture with Mamaw and Papaw...

...but I'll throw a fit when it comes time to snap a shot with Mom and Dad.

Look at me!

Look how strong I am! I turn 11 weeks old tomorrow, on Thanskgiving. I can't wait to show everyone my baby push-up!

My first football game! GO WILDCATS!

Check me out! Last weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to the Georgia-Kentucky football game. Aside from the devastating outcome, the game was a ton of fun! I was a HUGE hit, even among all the Georgia fans. Every person we passed would look at me and say, "Awwww! How cute!", and several stopped my mommy so they could get a better look at me. One lady called me "the little enemy" but I did not mind. I was glad I had a full outfit -- down to the shoes -- to support my favorite team.

Here I am super happy because I am expecting Kentucky to do really well... In the next picture I am reacting to Georgia soaring ahead in the game...

Take that Georgia!

Not now Mom. I'm just not in the mood. Did you see that lousy pass? What is the quarterback doing???

Here is the only shot we have of the whole family. Mommy had the camera on the wrong setting, so it came out in a funny color.

Look at all of these people! Daddy said the stadium held 92,000 - WHOA! This was definitely my biggest crowd experience. I was taken aback by all the red, but at least there was a bit of blue dispersed throughout it. I was proud of all the Kentucky fans that made it to the game.

A bit of Utah...before I post pictures of his true team...

I love hanging out with my dad! (Even if it means I have to wear red.)

I'm getting a little chunky these days. Check out my cheeks!

What's new in Brendan's world

Everyday I surprise my Mommy with something new! Just last night I pulled into the sitting position all by myself! Mommy has been working with me all week by pulling me up into the sitting position, but last night was the first time I did it by myself. Now Mommy has put this into our daily schedule so that I can keep practicing. She is so excited for me!

What Mom? I swear I did not do it. I don't know how spit up got all over your suit.

Last week I started grabbing toys and holding them for the first time! Mommy was super proud of me so she started snapping all kinds of pictures. I am getting quite good at posing for the camera.

Cheeez!

I LOVE my playmat! I kick, grab, and lick the animals for 30-45 minutes at a time. This gives Mommy plenty of time to update my blog.
