My visit with Santa

Throwing coins into the fountain BEFORE I met Santa (don't I seem happy?)

My visit with Santa...

Dear MaMaw and PaPaw...

Until last night, our tree (and yes, it looks like Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree... we have not had the time or money to go all out with decorations yet) was BARE. There was not one single present under it. I think Mom has done some shopping, but she has not done any wrapping. Well, last night we received a box in the mail from you, and Mom unloaded all the presents while I was sleeping. I came downstairs to find all of these presents this morning! The huge bag in the back was also sent last night from Aunt Lenore (and family!). Mom thinks you are out of control buying this many presents for a one year old, but I think you did just fine. THANKS MaMaw and PaPaw (and Lenore, Rick, and Helena!). We will have a family Christmas celebration before we leave for Utah and open them all then. I can't wait!

The Tree

Okay, I waited for all the wrapped presents, but this one was in a bag and I LOVE bags... and I got hold of it before Mom had a chance to put it in the back behind the tree. I was actually openning it before she had a chance to think about stopping me.

Is this how you wear boots?

Oh, and did I mention that the box was my FAVORITE part?

Catch Up Part II - October Trip to Yellow River Game Ranch

This was one the best places I have ever taken Brendan. He loved it! The animals (with the exception of bears and tigers) just walk around freely throughout the farm. There are some areas of contained animals, but most of the time you can walk through the gate and be right among them! Brendan loved chasing the chickens, hanging out with the pig, feeding the donkey, and much, much more. It is a kid's paradise. We went with Blaine Kipper, who is just about a week or two younger than Brendan. It was so fun to watch them figure things out.

Not only were the animals cool, but the fence was pretty interesting, too!

Check out this guy! He could barely move.

So fun!

Playing Catch Up PART I - September Trip to the Zoo

As I was perusing my photos, I realized there had been several fantastic moments that I had neglected (due to my insane schedule of work, travel, and mommyhood) to post. Tonight I have decided to play catch up because I want all of these to be documented. Since I don't scrapbook or keep albums, this is my only chance to store the memories!

This first batch of photos is from our family trip to the zoo in September. It was Brendan's fourth time to the zoo this year, but he enjoyed it SOOO much more this last time. It is amazing how quickly their interests change. Here, he was 12 months old.

Weeeee!

When is the train going to start, Dad?

Oooooo! Check it out! Can I take him home?

I'm not sure I want to touch that, Mom.

Thanksgiving 2008

How much longer do I have to stand here?
Here are the three boy cousins on Mom's side of the family: me, Will (age 4), and Parker (age 5 months). We spent a day in Mt. Sterling at Gran-Gran's house and had a great time playing together! Unfortunately, nearly all of Mommy's pictures came out fuzzy so she does not have many to post... maybe Santa will bring her a new camera...

Here I am with my cousin Parker. Don't we look alike?

Someone needs to feed that baby something, don't you think? Gran-Gran could barely hold him!

Here are all of the grandkids except Addam. We wish he could have been there!

What? I am just trying to help MaMaw clean out her pantry.

I found this in MaMaw's basement. Mom said she had to play it in music class when she was in middle school. I can't believe MaMaw kept it! I quickly learned how it worked and put on a concert for everyone.
