About 6 weeks ago I started having a dullish to sharpish pain in my lower left abdomen. I didn't think a whole lot of it and just assumed it meant I would start having my period again. I mentioned to Jamie I might be ovulating and he refused to come near me. Although our chances of conception without a doctor present are about 3-5%, he didn't want to take a chance.
Strange but since then I have started thinking about a second Twiglet. I have thought about it alot. I created a Making Twiglet booklet for my mom and Jamie for Christmas. It started with a pic of the embryos and included bi-weekly pics of my growing pregnancy. Twiggy's ultrasounds were spread throughout as appropriate. It was a very cute little book. While putting it together I started to really miss being pregnant. I barely remember being "round" and all the negatives are pretty much wiped clean from my memory. In that time I have also had one friend tell me she is pregnant with #2 and another friend tell me she is ready to start trying. Believe it or not, these two instances actually got the green jealousy blood flowing a little bit.
Am I ready to get pregnant? Yes. Do I want to be pregnant right now? Maybe. Can I visualize 2 under 2? No way. It's that third one that kept Jamie away 6 weeks ago.
So just to clear the air. As it stands right now, Jamie has not won the lottery, his insurance still does not cover infertility (we had to pay out of pocket for a $100 sperm analysis way back when!!!) and the value of our house has decreased in such a great number that an equity line to pay for IVF is just not going to happen. Unless Kacey grows some teeth, loses them real fast and the tooth fairy has $15,000 to pay for one of those teeth, we will not be going the medical route to make her a baby brother or sister.
So that leaves us with the 3-5%. As I said, Jamie has not won the lottery yet and he buys a ticket every week. So the luck fairy is not on our side.
Which leads me to the pregnancy test. The pain in my lower left abdomen has been getting worse. It comes and goes, is worse when I stand and walk, especially when my left leg hits the floor. Don't misunderstand, it's not terrible pain, just kind of crampy. So I called the doctor yesterday to get it checked out. Pain for 6 weeks and no period means it is not my cycle getting ready to start again. I had mini-visions of an ectopic and decided to get checked out. My nurse made the appointment but asked if it was possible for me to be pregnant. I said it was technically possible (Jamie can't stay away for ever!) but not very likely. She told me to take a pregnancy test and call back if it was positive and come in next week for my appointment if it was negative.
So off to CVS I went. Gotta tell you, it was a bit strange buying a pregnancy test again. I felt a little like I was doing something wrong. I went ahead and bought a two pack because they were good until 2010. I came home and peed on the stick. WOW, that's been a while!
So the results of that test? Well let's just say my appointment for next week stands and there is no need for me to rush over to my doctor. Still no idea what the pain is but hopefully it will be something simple.

On the move!!!!
Miss Jo is just days away from full fledged crawling. On Christmas Eve she was on her hands and knees and "hopped" her legs forward. She did this a few times. On Christmas day she did it a bit more and scooted a little bit. Yesterday I caught her on video trying really hard! What is it that got her moving forward? One of her many new Christmas toys? NO!!! The tv remote!
-------------------------------------------
Oh and here is a video I forgot to post of Kacey playing her piano!! (Thanks Taline, Alex and Oma!!!)

7 months old!!
It has been such a busy week that I forgot to mention Kacey turned 7 months yesterday!!!! She tried butternut squash yesterday and doesn't like that either. I don't think she likes anything except breastmilk and rice cereal! Oh well, we'll keep trying!
Here is her 30 week pic, taken just a four days before turning 7 months!

Korean BBQ!
Kacey went to her first Korean BBQ restaurant last night. She was fascinated! She sat like a good girl in the high chair and watched everything! I don't know which she liked most, the chopsticks, food cooking on the table, food being passed around in front of her or the table setting they brought her!!

Here she is licking her plate! (nothing was on it but that didn't matter to her!)

Grandma Pat is not going to be teaching Kacey how to use chopsticks!!! Here she is stabbing the meat with one stick and cutting it with a spoon!
Christmas Day
For as long as I have been alive, we have had Christmas morning at Grandma's house. She makes cheese blintzes that she has made for years. Over the years we have started helping make the blintzes too! I can't imagine Christmas without them or out in the living room after, opening our presents. This year was different. Grandpa wasn't there in person but he was of course felt. He even had a present for Grandma, a beautiful emerald necklace and earring set that he had picked out before he passed. Grandma loved it. :)
There hasn't been a little one at Christmas since my cousin Megann was little and she is now a senior in high school!! Not so little anymore! Thankfully we have Kacey (thankful for sooo many reasons!) She brought so much extra joy to the day! Not surprisingly, the grandparents (and the uncle!!!!) went a bit overboard but it was ok. It's just so much fun to buy things for a little Kacey! She really did seem to like the act of opening (with daddy's help) and playing with the paper, boxes and even the toys!
Here are a couple of pics.

Kacey then took a little nap at Grandma's house and then we all went over to my Aunt Sue and Uncle Mike's house. More fun and more presents! And for the adults, more prime rib!!! Yummy!
So our house looks a bit like a toy store now and I am loving every minute of it. :)

Christmas Eve

I am a bit late on catching up on the blog. Probably due to going to Vegas and then coming home to prepare for Christmas Eve dinner. Well, I shouldn't claim that as Jamie did all the work, but I supported him!!!
We got back from Vegas on Tuesday afternoon and did some prepping for Christmas Eve. In the morning Jamie left early to go to grandma's house (we were hosting the festivities but using her house to do so. 14 people fit much better in her living room than ours!) The roast he got was 21 pounds and needed a good head start in the oven. Kacey and I got a cheesecake started and she got down to a nap. She must have had a 6th sense or something but she woke up right around the time that Jamie's parents (Rie and Babu) arrived from Florida!!! YAY! We all headed up to grandma's, family played with Kacey while mom and I got the tables ready. It was a nice afternoon and nothing was rushed.
Kacey came home and took a tiny nap but I think she could feel the excitement. The nap didn't last long was very interrupted by her crying so we gave up. Despite the lack of nap and the excitement from the day she was really wonderful the rest of the night! She played and laughed and let people hold her. After dinner my Uncle Tom and Uncle Jeff pulled out their guitars and we all sang Christmas songs. Kacey LOVED IT!

Here is a little video so Kacey can see this when she is older.
As we sat there singing, I looked over at Jamie. He was holding Kacey and she was "singing" and he was smiling as he sang with her. Jeff and Tom were doing such a great job with the guitars.
I was happy.
I was content.
I was completely at peace.
It was the best Christmas Eve I can ever remember.
It was missing a few people that would have made it perfect but it was just wonderful and I know they were truly there with us.
Parenthood for Me
I don't necessarily advertise stuff on my blog but I received this comment on one of my last posts and thought I would pass it on. I know I used to have a lot of readers from the infertile community, not sure how many I have left, but I think this looked really good. Thank you Erica for sharing. If you have an IF related blog or think someone reading your blog might be able to use this link, feel free to c&p.

About the body parts pic...
A couple of you asked about my Christmas present. Our wedding photographer (George Carranza, http://carranzafoto.com) did it for us. He let us know when we hired him for the wedding that he would do a free session for our first baby. So we did it around 6 months and took regular family shots as well as these "body parts". The "body parts" were specifically for the frame that I showed on the blog. Way back when we met with him for our wedding I say a sample one in his studio and I fell in love with it. I wanted one sooo badly. So yay! now I have one.

Viva Las Vegas!!!!!
Nothing says vacation, relaxation and Christmas like Vegas! My grandma, mom, Jamie, Kacey and I took a road trip and drove on up there. The deals are great and we got to stay at the new Palazzo Hotel. Very cool room! It was a type of suite where you have the bed area and then a step down living room area. Very fancy indeed. Luckily the price was not!
Kacey slept most of the ride up and the ride back and when she was awake she was entertained by whoever was in back with her. I know some peek a boo games went on! Her favorite part of Vegas was the fountain in our lobby. They made it festive with floating cranberries, Kacey loved it!

One funny "bad dad" story... we were leaving breakfast and on our way up to the room. Jamie walked past a slot machine and said he wanted to show it to Kacey so she could see the wheel turn. So he stopped at the machine and was pulling out a dollar when a security guard came up and chastised him. "Sir, you are not allowed to have children at the machines!" Jamie got very embarrassed and we walked away. :( Too bad, I bet Kacey would have loved the spinning wheels!!!
We had a great time! Grandma relaxed and played tons of Pai Gow, my mom did lots of Kacey watching and Jamie was able to be in a poker tournament which he has wanted to do for a long time. He and I were able to have a date night :) and we also played craps together and had a nice run with another guy. We left the table up$$! Jamie played some other stuff on his own and even left Vegas up enough money to buy a 21 pound prime rib roast for Christmas Eve dinner! Thank you Las Vegas!!!

Bab.ies R Us... where the men like to shop!
So Jamie tells me he is going to go to Babi.es R Us to buy Kacey a little something for Christmas. A while ago he told me he wanted to give her stuff but hates shopping so if I was out and saw something I should get it and he would pay me back. That way he could say it was from him (we each have our own little accounts that we get an allowance in so something can be from just one of us.... more details belong in another post.... on another blog.....) Anyways, he decided he wanted to pick something out himself. We agreed we weren't going to really get her anything since it will be the only year we can get away with it and we know the grandparents will more than make up for us. (So loser mom here is giftless while daddy is going to appear the hero!)
He calls me up all excited. He had just spent an hour at BRU and did I know that they have cute little outfits there? and lots of toys? and it was a really fun place to go? He spent $120 of his own money on 2 outfits, a stocking stuffer froggie and this..

So then I just got a call from my mom. She had spoken to my brother a couple days ago and he had said he wanted to buy "the kid" something and what age toy should he get. So she suggested 9 months to a year and he went on his merry way. She just talked to him and he told her he spent an hour at BRU and did she know that they have cute little outfits there? and lots of toys? and it was a really fun place to go? uh-huh. He got "the kid" a bunch of stuff that makes lots of noise and he is putting it in a box and shipping it here.
So the guy that hates to shop and the guy that never wants "kids" of his own both have a new favorite place. Isn't it amazing what miracles occur because of a baby?

Ba ba ba ba aba aba aba ba...
Kacey has a new sound! She kept saying Ba ba ba ba aba aba aba ba... all day yesterday. She was very purposeful about it too, like she knows it's a new sound and she was having fun with it. It's very cute, I must try to video it!
Speaking of video, we need to lower her crib mattress. She is just moving all over and it looks like she is trying to go from her belly to sitting up. I want to avoid her learning this in the crib without us noticing and taking a nosedive. The sad part is that I LOVE going in to get her when she wakes up! She looks like this:

I love that! As soon as she hears the door open her head pops up. When she sees it is me (or her daddy I assume) she gives the biggest smile! So I decided to video it so that when we lower the mattress and she can't poke her head up anymore I will still be able to see it. The next time her head pokes up will be when she is standing in the crib!
-----------------------------------------------
In food news... remember that avacado she didn't like in the morning? Well she liked it last night! I tried it again and she gave me a funny look at first and then opened her mouth for more. She ate about a tablespoon worth! YAY!
Also at lunch yesterday she kept eyeing my lemon. So, for the fun of it, because I like to torture my baby..., I put the lemon up for her to lick. Wouldn't you know it, the baby who didn't like bananas loved lemons!!! She kept going at it and started to bite on it! Crazy kid! (Side note, I remember my god-daughter Ashley LOVED lemons when she was a baby. Michele used to drink iced tea all the time and take the lemon out for her. She would scream if she didn't get it!)

Trains, avacado and naps
Yesterday Kacey and I went to Taline's house for a play date (and so mommy could help Alex eat some yummy leftovers from the party!) Taline has this really cool train under the Christmas tree that even blows puffs of smoke! Kacey loved it! Here she is watching it, she never puts her arms down.
------------------------------------------
About the eating. We stopped feeding her solids for about 5 days and the vomiting completely stopped. I gave her more mixed cereal a few days ago and she vomited a couple hours later. We stopped again for a few days. On Sunday we gave her about a tablespoon of just rice cereal and she did fine. Yesterday another tablespoon and she was loving it and really wanted more. We tried a bit of yogurt again and this time she loved it! Not sure if she just missed solid food and ate whatever she was given or if she actually likes the yogurt now. Yesterday when we were at Taline's, Alex had a bit of butternut squash ready to give Taline. We gave a small taste to Kacey and she really seemed to like it. So that is next on the list! Today we gave her about a tablespoon and a half of rice cereal and a bit of avacado that I bought last week for her. She did not like it, surprise, surprise! I'll try the avacado again this evening and then we'll just do cereal and yogurt for a few days. I guess the butternut squash will have to wait til Christmas! Glad her tummy is doing better though. Must have either been a stomach bug or solid food overload. I'll just go alot slower from now on.
------------------------------------
About the sleeping. I can now confidently say (hurry, knock on some wood!!!) that Kacey is taking afternoon naps. She has been consistent for a week now. I almost always lay her down awake and she talks for 5 minutes or so and then is quiet for 90-120 minutes. She never cries when I lay her down (boy, I can already see myself regretting putting that in writing!) I know this might not last long, that once she starts teething again it might go away but for now I am really enjoying it! The hard work, and wow, that was hard! Has really paid off.

Kacey playing with Great Grandma Peggy's Christmas tree (sorry it's pretty dark)
Kacey has really taken to the jumperoo that we have at Great Grandma Peggy's house. She was going like crazy in it the other day. She especially liked this singing walking snowman and would "dance" with it. Again, sorry it's so dark.

Don't call Child Services!!!
I have been assured by Great Grandma Peggy that this is not child abuse. This is how they did it "in the old days" when there was no high chair. Kacey didn't seem to mind a bit!

Alex, Garo and Taline threw a fantastic Christmas party on Saturday!!! We set up some of the babies in front of the fire and had quite a time trying to get them to all look at the camera at the same time. We never succeeded. This shot is right before Kacey started crying. I LOVE the way Dashell is looking at Kacey and how bewildered Henry looks with Taline giving him a loving pat on the shoulder.

28 weeks? When did that happen?
Kacey is 28 weeks old!!!

A cute pic of Kacey with Taline.

A baking tip!!! I got this idea from Cara at Me? A Mom? A couple months ago she talked about making banana bread cookies. She said she likes the top of banana bread the best and so she makes cookies instead of the loaf. Well I agreed so I tried it yesterday. Made the recipe and then dropped tablespoon fulls onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Baked at 350 for about 14 minutes and voila! Happiness in the form of a cookie!
---------------------------------------
Last night was the BEST. SLEEP. EVER (well not ever but in recent memory!) She went to bed at 7 and woke up at 6:18. We did not hear a peep all night! I actually slept from 10-4:30 and then went right back to sleep. That is 6.5 hours straight! I can't remember the last time I got that much sleep in a row. Definitely pre-pregnancy. It was yummy. I feel so refreshed today! She has also taken an afternoon nap in her crib the last few days. This was worth waiting for and all the effort.

She did it again!!!
Last night she went to bed at 7 and cried for about 45 seconds around 3:30 then back to sleep. I didn't hear her again until 6am!! Woo-hoo!!!!
Some other things I need to write down before I forget:
Some other things I need to write down before I forget:
- Kacey is sitting like a champ now. She sat for about 15 minutes yesterday without falling over. She was even able to bend and reach for different toys and then sit straight back up again.
- If you put her on the ground on her hands and knees she will rock back and forth for a minute or two. She also does it all the time on her own. Just gets up from her tummy and starts rocking.
- She talks alot. Yesterday she talked for about 20 minutes straight. The talking included screams and raspberries and gurgles and ba-ba-ba's, etc. Just sat there entertaining herself and talking.
- For the first time she got really mad and screamed when I took something away from her yesterday. Whew! She has a temper!!
- She loves when I have my hair down, giggly, drunk sort of love. If it is up and she sees me let it down she gets very excited and wants to grab it and pull it all out of my head. (Hence why it is up 99% of the time.)
- She just loves seeing Orangie. Yesterday Orangie was looking at her so Kacey started talking to her. Orangie turned around and walked away and Kacey got a very sad look on her face.

Fun times!
First off, I have a question for all the mommies out there. A week ago we gave Kacey bananas and she hated them. A couple hours later she vomited profusely. She was in a good mood afterwards so I attributed it to the bananas and left it alone. Since then it seems like she has vomited every day at least once and sometimes 2-3 times. I didn't give her any more bananas so I am not sure what the deal is. She is fine after, does not have a fever and is still eating. She has never been a vomiter and rarely even spit up so what is going on? I didn't give her any cereal today and think I'll skip a few days just to see if that helps, but what if it does? Then what? We can't quit solids? Any suggestions are appreciated. Please know that if she had a fever or acted sick I would call the doctor immediately but she really seems fine after. Should I call the doctor anyway?
----------------------------------------------------------
Woo - hoo! Don't know what happened last night but Kacey went to bed at 7pm and at 3:30 she woke up. She cried 2-3 times and by the time I got up she stopped. I waited a few minutes and she didn't start again. She went back to sleep! She woke up at 5am and that time for good but she basically slept the ENTIRE night! 10 hours! WOW, wonder if lightning will strike twice? Taline, have you been giving Kacey pointers?
Yesterday we went to Carolyn and Mike's house for a housewarming BBQ. Kacey was on her best behavior. She let other people hold her and was smiley and happy pretty much the entire time. Around 5 she started to show signs of tired so we went ahead and left. She was asleep in seconds in the car. I was concerned because of the timing, she didn't get an afternoon nap at all and there were lots of people which sometimes makes her clingy. It was so great having such a happy baby, everyone loved her!
Saturday we went to Kacey's very first birthday party. Her friend Londyn turned 1 year old!! (I can't believe it, I remember her being born!!) Her party was at Gymboree and Kacey had a good time. She was pretty sleepy through alot of it as (surprise, surprise!) she hadn't taken an afternoon nap. She woke up when they were doing songs and stuff and really woke up for the parachute and bubbles! Kacey LOVED the bubbles!! Here is a pic of her trying to lick them, of course!

Here we are with the birthday girl. LaRee and Londyn in the middle and Stacie and Ella on the right.

This picture is just too darn cute of Ella, she is getting to be so big and soooo much fun!!!

On Saturday morning, I got to go with Gen to our Annual Birthday massages at Burke Williams. We go every year and I think we both spend about 364 days of the year waiting for that day! (Side note, they ran out of mud for my favorite Savannah's Surrender massage so they offered me any other one for 50% off. I got the Shiatsu massage...... OMG! Best spa experience ever!!! It was amazing! No more Savannah for me!) Jamie had plans to clear a bike path with fellow bikers so Grandma Pat got babysitting duty. We were gone about 2.5 hours and Kacey was awake the whole time. This was her first experience without Jamie and I for an extended time and her awake! She did great! Grandma had a wonderful time with her and there was no crying involved. YAY!
A couple more cute pics...
Great-Grandma Peggy came over for dinner on Friday night and was able to read Kacey her bedtime story. It was very sweet.

Her 27 week picture....

I completely forgot to post her 26 week (6 months in 2 days!!!) picture. Notice the adorable red jacket from Great0Grandma Peggy.

A video post for the grandparents
I know how you grandparents love a Kacey video!
Here she is eating her weekly sign:
Here she is rolling around on the floor (I realized I had never gotten her rolling over on video! Shame on me!) Watch out for the head bang at the end!
Here is part 2:
Here she is eating pears... or not eating pears! Short little video of her yucky face.

A sleep post.... this one's a good one!
Yesterday Kacey went down for a nap... in her crib!!! at 1:30. She slept for an hour! YAY! Big accopmplishment! She woke up really cranky though so I tried to play with her a bit and she just wasn't snapping out of it. I sat in the rocker with her and fed her and she fell asleep for another 30 minutes. After that she was her happy perky self :)
I managed to keep her up til 6:30 last night so I was prepared for a wake up at 5:30. We are trying so hard to get her to sleep til 6am and she just keeps refusing!! She seems to need 11 hours sleep at night so we are trying for a 7pm bedtime. When she goes down earlier I know she won't sleep til 6. Anyways she went down and all was well. Jamie came home around 9 and went in to give her a kiss. He said she was moving a bit when he went in so he just watched her for a few minutes. She never opened her eyes but kept moving her hands all around. She finally got hold of her little kitty and immediately started chewing on it. After a minute or so she pulled it out of her mouth and still without looking turned it around in her hands until she found the tags on it. She then shoved the tags in her mouth and went back to sleep. This shows she is good at self soothing! YAY! I kind of figured since she normally doesn't wake until 2am or so for her midnight feeding. She has to be waking up somewhere between 6ish and 2ish.
She did wake up at about 1:30 for her midnight feeding. I was worried because she usually wakes up about 3 hours after for the day. This meant she might be awake at 4:30!! OH NO! I fed her and she fell asleep. When I laid her in the crib she woke up and cried. I went ahead and fed her some more but this woke her up more. She was done with eating and was just looking around so I went ahead and laid her in the crib. I told her it was night night time and I turned out the night light and left the room. I heard her talk for a minute or 2 and then it went quiet. I fell asleep and didn't hear a peep out of her until 6:18!!!! WOW!!! This meant I slept almost 8 hours last night! Absolutely unheard of!! I was soo excited. YAY!!! Maybe the nap yesterday actually helped!
I was then thinking she might not go down at 8:30 for her morning nap since she woke up later, but she proved me wrong again. She ate and fell asleep right at 8:30 and is still asleep now (9:49) Maybe there is something to what I have been told, it does get easier after 6 months with sleeping! I am not counting any zzz's until she has done this for a week or so but I admit I am a bit optimistic!

Yummy Pears!!!
We used our Beaba Babycooker to puree a pear. No need to cook it but it sure was neat to use the Beaba! YAY!! Kacey did not shudder and hang her mouth open and let all the pears slip out, instead she ate them up. I wouldn't say she loved them and towards the end she started to crinkle her face up a bit but it was definitely an improvement over the bananas.

A year ago.....
Peanut butter, bananas, turkey and Big Love
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! We sure did! My uncle Tom hosted the turkey carving at his house and everything was sooo yummy. Thank goodness for our high chair we were able to bring it along and Kacey sat with us at the table just like a big girl!
We had the car all packed and ready to go so after dinner we piled into the car, settled Kacey in for a good sleep and started the drive to Sequoia. Jamie made great time driving and we were on target to get there in 3 hours and 15 minutes or so... until we hit THE FOG! OMG! The fog was crazy. It was only the last 10 miles or so but it was as we were going up the windy mountain road. Jamie had to drive about 5 miles an hour and could only see about 5 feet in front of the car. Took us about 45 minutes to go about 10 miles. We finally made it and got to the house about 11pm. Kacey woke up and was so excited to BE OUT AT NIGHT! A NEW PLACE! SO MUCH TO SEE!!! Finally got her back down around midnight. Oh well, who needs a schedule on vacation?
The rest of the weekend was spent eating, walking in the mountains, eating, spending time with Vanessa, Adam and Ellis (they arrived on Friday), eating some more, walking through snow and oh yes, did I mention eating? To give you an idea of all the food we consumed, I made a double batch of Rice Krispie treats, the four of us ate an ENTIRE pie on Friday night and Vanessa brought chocolate fondue for dessert for Saturday night. I am getting ill just thinking about how much food we ate. It was fabulous!
Kacey slept terribly the whole weekend, but maybe she always sleeps terribly and we just don't know it because she isn't normally in our room. It seemed like she woke up every hour, made noise and went back to sleep. This meant I woke up every hour. UGH. On Saturday she was awake at 4:30. WIDE awake with no hope of going back to sleep. Sunday we slept in... until 5am. This girl takes morning persont o a whole other level.
----------------------------------------------------
On Saturday I gave Kacey a bit of banana and she did not seem to appreciate it. I tried again yesterday (well my mom tried). I mixed it in with her cereal. She would take a bite and actually shudder while scrunching up her face and then she would just let her mouth hang open so it could all just roll right back out. Mom tried 8 or so bites like this and rather than beating our heads against a wall, we finally gave up. She ate regular cereal like a champ. So my baby girl is probably the only baby in history that does not like bananas. We'll blame Aunt Shirley.
Don't know if it is related to the bananas but when we pulled into the parking lot at the mall yesterday (we were going to mommy and me movie!) She puked all over. This was not just a spit up... oh no! Full on vomit. EVERYWHERE. Her outfit was soaked, hands covered, belts on the car seat covered... you get the idea. She has never puked like that before. It was disgusting. Luckily Alex was meeting me there and she had lots of wipes. First I grabbed a blanket and mopped up a ton with that. Thanks Mr. Blankie! She seemed fine afterwards so all was well. She definitely made her point about the bananas though. Won't try those again for a while!
-------------------------------------------------
Peanut butter.... you are wondering if I gave her some? Oh no. I had asked a while ago on one of my cloth diapering boards, when I will need to start using the diaper sprayer. You can put brea.stfed poopy diapers directly in the washing machine but not formula fed or solid fed diapers. Since we started the cereal the poop hadn't really changed. So I asked. I was told I would know it when I saw it and it would be the consistency of peanut butter. Well it happened yesterday. Let's just say the consistency was dead on but it smelled nothing like peanut butter. Will my cloth diapering allies please remind me why I am cloth diapering please? I did not enjoy holding that diaper over the toilet and spraying the poop off. I need a reminder and a "You'll get used to it" Thanks!

As most of you know, Jamie works on Big Love. One of the perks is that he can sneak our daughter onto the show.

If you go to http://www.hbo.com/biglove/ click on "Three Past Midnight: Bill & Barb" and see her starting at :56. Pretty cool huh?

The best part of this post has been saved for last. Grandma Marie sent Kacey a Christmas dress. This weekend we dressed her up in it and took our Christmas card picture. When she saw the dress she lit up like a Christmas tree. She loved having it on and was absolutely glowing. She kept touching it and looking at it and only tried to eat it a little bit. I think she knew she looked beautiful in it. :) Thanks Grandma Marie!
