* Is it wrong that I am actually liking wearing Granny Panties and it might take some convincing to get me back into a thong?
* DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAD TROUBLE LOSING WEIGHT AFTER PREGNANCY!! Since my early 20's I have always weighed around 128, give or take 2 pounds. (With the exception of a bad break up that sent me down to about 122 where I looked quite sickly.) When I got pregnant with Kacey I was up to 133ish due to the fertility drugs. I gained 24 pounds with her and lost it all fairly quickly. By the time i got pregnant with David I was actually down to 123. The old saying that breastfeeding helps you lose weight actually worked with me. So since i started this pregnancy 10 pounds less than with Kacey and I only gained 20, I truly didn't have much to lose to get back down. As of a few days ago I have already lost 12 pounds putting me at 131. So if I want to just get back to my average weight of 128 I only need to lose 3 more pounds!! Now if I could just get the jiggly bits to move around, that would really help!
* In the WTF?? category..... For the past 9 months Jamie has said he does not want a third baby, well at least not while we live in this house. Our house is small and cozy and I like it. It is only 2 bedrooms and one bathroom but it works for us right now. A third kid would be a little cramped and that was Jamie's main concern. He also felt uncomfortable with the idea of pushing our luck in the healthy baby department due to my age. I had no problem with this and said it was fine with me to just have two. It was one more than I ever expected! I did say that I would never take hormones again so it was up to him to prevent getting pregnant. I thought this was the end of the discussion. Well... my friend Rebekah was over the other day and casually said "So, do you think you will try for another one?" Before i could respond Jamie said something like "I hope so!" I don't remember exactly what he said because I nearly fell off the couch from shock. Later I asked him when he changed his mind and he said in the delivery room. He likes having kids and wants one more. Goes to show you how much someone can surprise you!
* My whole being tingles when Kacey puts her arms out and hands together and looks at you so sweetly and says "Hold Baby David.. Please?"
* Kacey is behaving quite well. I have seen no signs of jealousy at all. She actually will get a little quiver in her lip and say "Baby crying" with so much concern in her voice. She really doesn't like to see David upset. She is also very impressed with his nursing. We had talked about how David would eat mommy's boobie milk and how daddy and grandma don't have boobie milk, etc. So now if he is crying she sometimes says "David eat mommy boobie milk!"
* Jamie goes back to work tomorrow and this makes me sad.
* I swear David smiles at me. :)
* I very often think of David as "she" or "her" as in "I need to go get her diaper changed." I don't say it out loud, only in my head. I think it's because I am still so used to the world revolving around Kacey that it's hard to wrap my brain around this new little one.
* I hate seeing his circumcision. I wish it would just heal already!!
* I wonder if I will ever get caught up on things again. Do I really care? Hmmmm... yes, the neurotic side of me does I am sad to admit.
* David is just .... so.... calm. Please, let this last!
* A two year old and a one week old? I may ask myself, well, how did I get here? :)

Mini Birthday Party for Kacey
Jamie's parents came into town from Florida over the weekend so on Sunday evening we had a small family BBQ to celebrate Kacey's Birthday.

First Kacey helped me make cupcakes. She poured all the ingredients into the bowl and helped hold the mixer while it mixed. She then "helped" clean the beaters and after pouring the mix into the cupcakes molds she "helped" clean the spoon!

Video of Kacey blowing out her 2 candle.
She really did like her cupcake but I thought this pic was too funny not to post.
David wanted some too but Kacey was too busy to share.
Finally a picture of Renee!! Here she is helping Kacey with the book she got her.
Kacey with her new kitchen from GG! She loves it!

Family Picture
All week I have wanted to get a family picture in front of the "It's a boy" sign my mom put in front of the house. It rained, it was super windy, we just got busy, etc. So today we were leaving the house together to go to my granmda's and I decided this is it! We are taking this picture no matter what. Well here is what I got, a cranky crying 2 year old that did not want her picture taken and a screaming 1 week old that is normally as peaceful as can be but decided to cry during this picture. I could have tired for a happy smiling family shot but why not take one that better shows reality? I think this goes in the file with Kacey's Santa picture this year and I love it!

Pics from the hospital
Nana Pat, Great Grandma Peggy and Kacey all came to visit right after David was born. They even got to come into the delivery room before they moved me to recovery! I think all the setup was a bit scary for Kacey but she calmed down quickly and enjoyed seeing the "Baby Out!!"
Nana Pat

Great Grandma Peggy
She just LOVED holding him. She still will come up with both hands out (like to catch a ball) and say "Hold him?" With a very sweet lilt in her voice. She is very careful when she holds him and sits very still.
The next day in the recovery room. Kacey had no fear this time and came right up on the bed with me!
All ready to go home. He looks so tiny in the carseat!

Alex and Garo took these when they came to visit.

Birth Story
When I was preparing the hospital bag I also printed up a sheet that I formatted in Excel. It had columns for the Date, time and update. With Kacey's birth we wrote down everything as it happened and I wanted to do it again. I printed up 3 pages just in case it was a very long birth like Kacey's. Fortunately we only filled one page!!! I started it out at 2:05 am and Jamie did most of the rest. So here it is with a bit of elaboration.
May 22, 2010 (So excited that everything took place on ONE calendar day!!!!)
2:05 am - Woke up to Contractions - I was pretty excited and immediately looked at the clock. This felt like menstrual pain, could it be? When the pain went away after a minute and then came back again 7 minutes later, I really got excited. Keep coming!! I thought to myself! I laid in bed for the next 90 minutes timing them. They lasted about 45-60 seconds and came every 4-7 minutes.
3:25 am - Took shower. Contractions 3-5 min, 30-45 seconds, pain level 3. - At this point I called my doula who did not answer. I decided to wait another 30 minutes then try her again.
4 am - Tried doula again, no answer. Called doctor, said ok to wait one hour and then go to hospital due to pain level being low. contractions 4.5 -5 minutes apart, 1 minute, pain 3-4 Woke up Jamie. Michele, our doula, calls and I update her on everything. Unfortunately she came down with the flu the previous day and won't be able to join us at the hospital! Oh no!
4:15 am - Call my mom asking her to be over at 5am to watch Kacey.
5:45 am - At hospital, nurse Kenyarda checks us in and checks me. 3-4 cm dilated, 80% effaced. (Very cool sidenote, we got the same L&D room that we had with Kacey. It's the best room with a view of the mountains. When we got there, we were told that there were 16 babies, WOW! It's a small hospital so that is a ton. We were the only ones that had a baby over the weekend.)

7 am - (Jamie starts the writing) New nurse Missy (she will be with us through the birth, we loved her!!)
7:40 - 8:10 am - Walked the hallways - Walking intensified the contractions - I had to keep stopping and lean on something to breathe through them, definitely could not talk through them anymore. I was sooooooo happy to be walking around though. With an induction you can't so it was like getting a wish come true. It sounds silly but I wanted a "normal" birth so badly and this was my idea of it.
The hospital was having a fundraiser by showing the movie Grown Ups. That's the one Jamie worked on last summer in Boston. We thought it would be fun to get my last belly pic in front of the standee.

9:15 - 9:25 - Walked the hallways again. Pain now = 5. I decide no more hallway walking!
10 am - Dr. Nelson checkup - 5cm, 90% effaced. She broke my water, -2 station.
YAY! Progress!!!

10:15 - Contractions increase in frequency and intensity.
11:15 - Dr. Nelson checkup 5-6 cm, -1 station, order epidural. - At this point I was screaming during contractions and squeezing the life out of Jamie's hand. I talked to Jamie before the doctor checked me and asked if he would be disappointed if I got the epidural. He said absolutely not, whatever I wanted to do. I thought about it and couldn't think of a reason not to. With Kacey, she came out alert and breastfed immediately. I reacted well tot he epidural and had no side effects. It just seemed like a winning idea. I told the doctor that if I was 8-9 cm I would keep going but if I was less than that to get me the epi. She checked me and looked at the nurse and said "Get the epidural!"
12:10 - Epidural arrives.
12:20 - Epidural working - D Smiling :) (Jamie actually drew a happy face )
2:10 pm - Contractions slowed to 7-15 minutes apart. 8 cm!!! Missy says she wants to start me on Pitocin to get contractions going again. I had been laying down so I suggested me trying to sit up first to see if that gets them going (I DO NOT WANT PITOCIN!!!!)
2:30 - Contractions back! 3-4 mins apart
3 pm - Anti-nausea meds are given as I was starting to feel a bit ill from the epidural.
3:30 - 9cm and 0 station
4pm - Only a little rim to go!!!

4:55 - 10 cm - Time to push! +2 station!! They start getting ready and call the doctor.
So excited to start pushing!!!

5:45 - David Charles Walden is born SUNNY SIDE UP after 30 minutes of pushing!!! Dr. Nelson is surprised and says I should be VERY glad I got the epi or that would have been an extremely painful delivery.

Nurse Missy and Dr. Nelson
The new addition to our family!!!

A funny little note to end this with.... I knew I had to eat as much as possible before getting to the hospital so I did have breakfast at home. I also snuck in a cereal bar around 8am. By 10am I was hungry and by the afternoon I was starving. I kept talking about food and how hungry I was. At one point Dr. Nelson asked what I wanted and I said an asada burrito from Torta's across the street. Jamie was going to get it for me as soon as he was able to. About 15 minutes into pushing, during a break, I commented on how badly I wanted him out so I could get my burrito!!! When David was born, Dr. Nelson said Yay, I could get my burrito now. :) She finished up with me and left. About 30 minutes later she came back with a bag in her hand containing 2 asada burritos for me and Jamie. My doctor rocks!!

In no particular order...

Name talk and pics!!
So the name? David is Jamie's brother's name (Jamie's first name is actually Douglas which is his uncle, so we thought it would be nice to name our little man after his fantastic uncle!) Charles is my maternal grandfather's name and Walden is my paternal grandfather's name. I was very close to them both and since Kacey's middle name Joleane is a combo of Joanne and Jeane my grandmother's names. Sooooooo long story short they both have family in their names.
I can't believe how much this pic looks like the one we took with Kacey. Big difference is how much better I look. 30 minutes of pushing compared to 3 hours makes a huge difference!
Daddy, David and a very happy Big Sister!
Oh cutie!!! His head is a bit funky shaped in the pic because he was born sunny side up! Agh!

Welcome little man!!!!
We were very excited to welcome David Charles Walden into our world at 5:45 pm today. He is 21.5 inches and weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz. The cutest little man I have ever seen!!!! Kacey has already met him and is in love with her little brother. I'll get some pics up tomorrow!
Update
I caved and got an epi a couple hours ago and then took a nap. I just got checked and am at 8 cm. Hoping to have this little man by 4 or 5!
Headed to the hospital!!!
OK! I think it might be go time! I woke up at 2am with contractions and they have been 3-5 minutes apart for 2 hours now and lasting 45-60 seconds. Talked to my doctor at 4 am and she said it was ok to wait til 5 unless something changed. Unfortunately Michele, my doula, has the flu so she may only be there on the phone! EEK! Wish Jamie luck!
So I am eating a bowl of cereal and my mom is on her way. Hopefully I will have some good new sooner rather than later!!!
WOW, today could be the day we meet our son! YAY!

My very clean child...
Well not really but she does recognize messes. Yesterday, Kacey was playing and I was being lazy and watching Couger Town. A commercial for Grey's Anatomy came on that showed someone with a white lab coat getting shot. The screen showed the white area and blood starting to spread on the coat. Kacey stopped what she was doing and looked at me very seriously and said "Oooohhhh messss!" Guess I shouldn't watch that episode of Greys this morning while she is playing!

And that decides it!
So last night I came to a decision. I have a doctor appointment on Monday. I am going to ask her to induce me Tuesday morning assuming I have not had the baby by then of course. Ideally, I don't want to be induced but I am just plain done. Pitocin may be the work of the devil but I now know that God created the epidural to combat it if need be.
Warning, this next paragraph might have too much information for some of you.
I am happy about my back being better and as of yesterday evening I thought "Hey I can do this, I can go as long as I need to." But then it happened. As I sat on the toilet at 2:27 am with a puddle of pee on the floor and all over my legs, I realized the last straw had broken. For the last 8 months I have peed 1-5 times a night. In the last couple of weeks I have taken to wearing a pad to bed because with every step on the way to the bathroom I leak. (How is that possible when I pee ever 1-2 hours?) Last night I couldn't even make it and if you have been to my house you know that is not very far to go! By the time I got cleaned up and back to bed I was understandably upset and frustrated. It took me 1.5 hours to fall back asleep and then I woke up 20 minutes later paranoid I would pee the damn bed.
Combine all this with the waddle, rib pain, etc and I am just done. I will wait out the weekend and continue to be thankful that I am late instead of early and that I have a healthy baby overstaying his welcome. But come Monday I am requesting this to be over.

Staying up to date
OK, I have a couple of videos and pics from yesterday. Gotta get em up in case I have to leave the house in a hurry!!!
Taline and Alex came over yesterday!!
Jamie got Kacey and Taline matching Hula skirts and a dvd on how to Hula. The girls were mesmerized by the dvd. Taline does some dancing but Kacey mainly just watches.

Later Taline and Kacey had fun playing night night in Kacey's toddler bed and in her crib!

About the unScrabble
OOOOHHH!! You are all so much fun. I love the names you are coming up with. Maybe we will have to reconsider our choices ;)
Here is another hint that I posted on Facebook, just in case you didn't see it. There are only 3 extra tiles. I won't say if the blanks are extra or not though. :)

Due date!!!
and here I sit at my computer. I had a contraction last night at 11:37 that hurt. I got excited and that was it. Tons of BH's but nothing else. I keep telling myself, better to have a late baby than a preemie. Blessed with a healthy baby, for goodness sakes, blessed with a baby period! So I am trying to keep the negatives away. Yes, I want this baby out, but I have so very much to be thankful for. Focus on the fact that within the next 2 weeks, there will be a little man crying for me at 3am. 2 weeks is not so very long!! Right, right?
BTW, yesterday my back felt better than it has in the last 2 weeks. I think the acu got him to move a bit which helped a ton. I still waddle but it's more of a 20 pound* bowling ball strapped to my stomach type waddle.
* 20 pounds, I haven't gained anything in a few weeks. With Kacey I reached about 24. I don't think I'll reach that with this one. Also, I can still wear my wedding rings no problem. Need to keep telling myself I have NOTHING to complain about!

Boo! No progress :(
I was hoping to go to my OB appointment today and be told "Hey you are 4 cm, let's send you to the hospital and break your water and get this show on the road!!" Instead I got "Sorry, still 80% and 2 cm." I made an appointment for Monday. Sigh.

Want to unScrabble Mini's name?
Same hints as I gave for Kacey's Name Scrabble:- Use the arranged letters, not the messy ones on the side (that is just me being artistic!)
- Know that there are 3-7 extra letters just so this isn't too easy!
- Yes, there are 2 blank letters! Are they one of the extras? Hmmmm... guess that is up to you to figure out!
- If you can't see the letters very well, click on the picture and it will get bigger.
- Mini will also have 2 middle names like Kacey and I do, don't want him feeling left out with only one!
Argh!
It's been really wonderful to have Jamie home! YAY! He spent all day with Kacey yesterday while I laid on the couch and hobbled around the house. I am soooo tired of not being able to really do anything! While I was hoping to go into labor Saturday night he was hoping I wouldn't so he could spend Sunday with Kacey. Now we have our hopes aligned so..... Well at least I got to watch the Survivor finale last night!
My friend Mia had given me her changing table. I decided to set it up in our room so that we would be able to change Mini in the middle of the night and not have to do it on our bed. I had Jamie bring it in yesterday and I was able to get it all arranged. I put all of Mini's jammies and stuff in it, things that we would need when Kacey was sleeping. I am happy with how it turned out and am ready to start using it!
Jamie also got a belly shot since we haven't taken one in a long while (39 weeks, 4 days). This guy sure seems to be sticking out a heck of a lot more than Kacey did!

HOMECOMING!!!!
YAY!!!! Jamie is coming home today!!! Home you ask?? Yes, he has been in MAUI for the last month working on the new Sandler movie. Can't wait to see him, then I am free to go into labor!!!!! I hadn't written about him actually being out of town because you really don't know who in the WWW is reading your blog and I didn't need any creepos knowing I was sleeping alone at night.
It's been really hard having him gone for the last month. He says it's been hard on him too but that's hard to believe when we are talking on the phone and he "has to go so he can go surfing before starting work!!" haha Just kidding honey, I know it's been hard. Thank goodness for Skype. Kacey loved seeing her "Computer dada" and she is very excited to see him today. I wonder how different she will seem to Jamie. I know she is talking alot more in the last month but what else? It's hard to see overall changes when you are with her everyday but a month is quite a while. I wonder how much bigger my belly will look to him too!
So have a good flight sweetheart, I can't wait to see you, hug you and kiss you!

Progress!!!!!
Today begins "Operation Get Baby Out!!!" I had a chiropractor appt this morning, then OB and this afternoon I have an acupuncture appt scheduled.
When I got to the OB they said my doctor had to leave for a surgery so I saw a different doctor. He was feeling my tummy and commented on the baby being small or really low. I told him that at my last check my doctor said he was almost between my knees! So he did an internal check and said "WOW! She was right, he is REALLY low." He then said I was a good 2 cm and 80% effaced!!!! YAY!!! This is much more progress than I ever had with Kacey. He said with any luck I will go into labor this weekend. Oh please let luck fall on my side this weekend!!!
Jamie is available after about 6pm tomorrow and I talked to my doula Michele and she said tomorrow night or Sunday would be perfect for her. So come on little mister, let's have you make your debut.16th sounds like a lovely day for a birthday. :)

** 39 weeks today!!!!!
WOW! I would say I can't believe it but this darn back pain reminds me with every step I take that I have a baby sitting on my pelvic bone and sciatic nerve that NEEDS TO GET OUT!!! I can't believe the actual boy baby part though. Every time I try to visualize holding him, I just see Kacey as an infant. It's still all about Kacey. I assume that is normal though.
4 more days until Jamie's crazy work schedule is done. I can officially go into labor on Saturday as long as the baby doesn't arrive until after 8pmish.... I really should check with my doula Michele to make sure she is available before I start making any promises to the labor gawds though!!!
I really want to concentrate on the fact that in the next week (or 2.5 if he is like his sister... PLEASE Mini don't be like your sister!!!!) there will be a little boy in our house!! It's just so hard though. With Kacey we had the nursery decorated and the car seat installed and inspected. The baby swing was set up in the living room etc. With this one I just have his clothes washed and hanging in the closet. Everything else is in the garage. I just don't want to take up room in our tiny little house until we need too! The plan is to have Jamie either start setting stuff up this weekend or while I am in the hospital after I have him.... or maybe even just wait until I get home. It's so easy to set up. But the point is, I am not surrounded by stuff that is waiting for HIM. I think that is why it is so much harder to visualize HIM. OH well, no need to visualize him, he will (oops! He just kicked me, his way of saying "I am here mom! You just can't see me yet!") be here soon enough!!! Please Dear God let it be soon!!!

PeePee in the potty!!!
Yesterday I was doing my own business in the bathroom and Kacey came in as I was washing my hands. She said "Kacey potty! Wet! Diaper off!" She then took off her diaper. I opened the lid to the little potty and she said no, she wanted the big potty. So I pushed the stool over and she climbed up. She kept standing and sitting and about 10 minutes later actually peed!! I got all excited and sang a little song and waved my hands in the air and told her she would get a treat. She wiped (which was fun for her!) closed the lid, flushed and washed her hands. We then got 2 M&M's (one for each hand of course) and she was so happy and proud of herself!!! I checked her diaper and it was dry. She had been wearing it for well over an hour so this was pretty cool. Not sure if it will happen again any time soon but it's a start!

10 more days until the due date!!!
OK, hospital bags are packed including 2 outfits for Mini, one long sleeves and footies, the other short. I have a list of extras sitting on the bag (camera, id, etc.) of the things I can't pack but need to bring. I have the list of people that want to be called at any hour** (everyone else will be at the next decent hour). So I am ready. READY, READY, READY!
Jamie will be ready as of Saturday night. I don't mind letting him have an evening off but if I could go into labor Sunday morning and have this kid Sunday afternoon, well that would just be ideal now wouldn't it? So that is 7 days. Yes, I am asking for 3 days early. Little man can make up for his sister being 11 days late!
So hear me universe!!! I am ready! 7 days and counting!!!!
**The list is as follows, if you are not on it and want to be let me know! Mom, GG, Jim & Marie, Dave & Kristie, The Pratts.

Update..
So last night I wrote about Kacey having trouble sleeping. She did finally stay asleep after I posted that. At 5:20 this morning she woke up crying "Mama blanket! Mama blanket!" She wasn't actually calling for me to get her a blanket though. She has taken as her own, the blanket I "used" to keep on the couch to cozy up at night. It's been in her crib for weeks now and is the mama blanket. She must have gotten cold and after about 3 minutes she went quiet again.
I woke up shortly after 6am as I normally do and got up and on the computer. I turned on the monitor and she was sound sleep. The pic is a little grainy but it looks like she doesn't have the mama blanket on her. I think she has her quilt instead. I am just happy to know she figured something out on her own.
It's almost 7:30 and she is still asleep, worn out from last night's festivities I assume. She normally wakes up between 6:15 and 6:30 and stays in bed chatting until 7. I am sooooo curious to see what she does when she wakes up! But hey, I am also curious to see how long this sleeping in will go, makes for a much better day for my mom!
My mom? Why would my mom care? Woo-hoo!! Only because she is the best mom ever (definitely earning her Mother's Day present!) She is coming over at 8am this morning to have breakfast with us and then watch Kacey for THE ENTIRE DAY!!!! Alex is having a baby get-together (not a shower! Don't make that mistake!) at a spa. I have a pregnancy bath and 90 minute massage all lined up. We are then hanging out at the spa until everyone finished their treatments and going out for an early dinner. I will spend my hang out time in the "Quiet" aka "nap" room. Dinner will be lovely and selfishly I hope I am home just about 5 minutes after mom puts Kacey to bed. Oh I have lost my rights to my Mother's Day present with that statement!!!!
Well guess who is chatting now? I must have woken her up with burning ears. She is now sitting up and reading a book! How cute is that? Wow, I love this monitor!!! Hee hee, she just turned it over, must have been reading it upside down. Maybe she needs a brighter night light?
OK, well I am off to get breakfast started and enjoy my day. Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!!

Great timing!
My mom got this monitor for Mini-Monkey. She actually bought it a bit early so we could spy on Kacey. It's very cool and can pan the room and zoom in! We liked it because then when Kacey ever decides to sleep in the toddler bed we can keep and eye on her. When her brother starts sleeping in the crib we can pan back and forth and make sure she doesn't start poking him through the slats or jumping in the crib to steal his toys.
It arrived today and mom and I got it all set up. I put Kacey to bed like normal but she had only had a 30 minute car-nap today (due to a fantastic playdate and lunch at Dashell's house!) so she was over tired. She cried when I left the room and we got to watch what she does. Call us sadistic but we loved watching her!
When I sing rock-a bye-baby to her I usually hold a stuffed animal on the crib rail and rock it back and forth. When the bough breaks and cradle falls, I drop the animal on her. She loves it. Usually if she cries when I leave she will say Rock-a-Baby a few times and then quiet down. This time we got to see her stand up, hold kitty on the rail and rock her a bit while crying Rock-A-Baby. It was kind of pathetic. :( After a few minutes I went in there and sang it a few times, complete with animals and she calmed down. I left her quietly there and she was sound asleep a few minutes later. Warmed my heart to see her cuddled up with kitty.
An hour later it got interesting. She woke up. Hysterical. Sobbing. I watched her on the monitor and she was writhing around and would not stop. This is very unusual. After a couple minutes f her not calming at all, I went in there and picked her up. I rocked her for a while before she finally calmed down. She was drenched in sweat, snot and tears. I was in there with her for about 20 minutes and was finally able to get her back in the crib and sleeping before I left.
An hour later, same thing. What? I waited a few minutes and went back in. This time I gave her some Tylenol (she does have 2- 2 year molars that still need to come in so it could be that) and then rocked her some more. I asked her if she had an owie and she mumbled something unintelligible and continued sobbing. I asked if she had a bad dream (although I highly doubt she would even know what that means) and she cried YYYYYEEEEESSSSSS and sobbed some more. After about 5 minutes she was sound asleep. I got her into the crib ** and she cried for water, I gave her the sippy and she fell asleep drinking it. Really hoping that is the last waking of the night! Interesting that all this happened the night we get the monitor!
** Just want to say that if I go into labor tonight, it's your fault Kacey :) It is no easy feat lifting a toddler out of a crib, rocking with her and then lifting her back down into the crib in a laying position!!! The whole time I was rocking her, I kept telling myself that 16 years from now when she goes away to college I will remember rocking her as one of the most wonderful experiences. Even as I gritted my teeth in pain. Let's face it, there is no easy way to rock a toddler on your body when 38.5 weeks pregnant with back pain, sciatica and braxton hicks going on!

Pics, vids and a waddle!
On Monday night we went out to dinner with Michele and her kids. Kacey took to Kaylee right away. When we were leaving she wouldn't let go of her hand!!

Yesterday we (well she stole mine so I guess it was just Kacey) got some popsicles. Yummy!

Pic for Jamie, my 38 week, 1 day belly. (BTW, weighed myself and I am finally up 20 pounds!)
Trying on mommys jammies. We thought she was ta-daing, turns out she was trying to keep the sleeves up!

and with the pants!

Popsicles!

Mini-Monkey Update
Went to the OB this morning and I quote "WOW, he is so low, almost between your knees!" She also checked and I am 50% effaced and fingertip dilated. To compare with Kacey at 39.5 weeks I was 30% effaced and fingertip dilated. This doesn't mean I am going into labor anytime soon, just made her hopeful that I won't be as late as I was with Kacey. Thank goodness!!!!
Chiro Appointment..
So the appointment went well. I looked great as a patient as I hobbled in there and leaned on the counter. HAHA! I told him about the stretching and heating pad and things I was trying to do to help and it turns out they were all wrong. The stretches and heat make it worse. Argh! Anyways, he started me out on my back and after about 30 seconds I got really nauseous. He sat me up and got me some water. I felt better after a minute or so and then tried again. BAM! Nausea again. He put me on my tummy (very cool table, lifts in the middle so your legs and arms are holding you up. I asked if he could leave so I could take a nap :) After a minute I got nauseous again. He tried my side, same thing. Very weird, he said it can happen just from the hormones, being in different positions etc, but he got done what he wanted. He also showed me some great exercises that I have since been doing at home and I think they are really helping. I am going back tomorrow and again next week.
Oh boy, I am really ready for this little man to come out. I dread the thought of him being late like Kacey was.... that would be pure torture! As Kacey says "No work dada, baby out!" Yes mister, as soon as dada is done with all this working you can come out! That's 9 days from now.... not that I am counting every second...

Update on the sleeping.
Thank you very much to MommaHarms, Stephanie and ally, zane, avery and nola for your ideas. I ended up sticking to my guns and telling her "OK, 2 more songs... ok one more song... ok mommy is going bye bye now." And she has cried each time I left the room BUT!!! and a big huge BUT! she has only cried for about 2 minutes. She then starts talking and quiets down after a couple of minutes. I think she is getting the idea. Quite honestly it doesn't matter if she gets it or not. The point is I get it. I let her CIO at 6 months, why I couldn't do it now is beyond me. I am now much less stressed and able to end the day in peace. I know there will be hard nights ahead with 2 molars left, new baby excitement etc, but I am glad to have my backbone back!
