David's latest thing is to put the flashlight on his head and run around saying "Chugga chugga choo choo!!!" It's pretty cute. :)

Backyard tractor
There is a summer camp behind our backyard which is fantastic for so many reasons. The best reason is that there are no houses behind us and we just have a view of the canyon and mountains. We are also able to use their trails for hikes! Last week they were taking down a small raised vegetable garden and leveling some land to make room for a greenhouse. The kids enjoyed watching "Peter" run the tractor around and he was so friendly he even let the kids sit in it!
Summertime
I know it's only the beginning of March but the weather has made it feel like June and we have taken advantage!!
Kacey is "learning" to ride her bike without training wheels and that isn't going too well. David likes to watch though and wanted to try too! Here Jamie and Kacey are helping him.
We put Kacey, David, Lilli and Ollie to work....
They then got the reward of getting to go into the 55 degree pool and they loved it!!! Crazy kids!!
They've gone to the beach a couple of times....
and yesterday they played in the sprinklers at Taline's house.
I think it's over for a bit though. Today's forecast is for 69 and high 60's the rest of the week. Sigh.

DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!
Since Jamie was off work, my uncle and I took a day and went to Disneyland together without kids. We have been talking for years about doing the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour. They day was fantastic, the weather was gorgeous, the tour was okish and overall I had a great time. I got to go on Tower of Terrors which I had not been on yet and knew I wouldn't be able to go on when going to Dland with the kids. We also got to see Walt's private apartment above the firehouse as part of the tour. That was the highlight :)
I was so excited to go into Club 33 until I realized we were just going into the lobby :(
A week later we went as a family. The weather was VERY different from the week before. When Tom and I went, it was in the 70's and gorgeous. This time it was in the 50's and rained off and on throughout the day. We still had a blast though! It was David's first time and he was in awe. He was so quiet most of the day, just taking it all in. He couldn't even take his eyes off Mater for this picture!
Gwynn has a silver pass so she had given us the gift of Disneyland for the day (the only way we could go as I can't imagine how anyone can afford to pay to get in!!) She also treated the kids to a hot chocolate and the biggest Mickey Mouse cookie ever!!
Gwynn's son Beckett
Kacey had a great time driving the bumper car
David was in heaven with all the different trains. Here we are on Casey Jr.
Gwynn and Beckett
Due to the rain there weren't any princesses walking around. Fortunately Rapunzel is in a building.
I love this shot!!!
Pixie Hollow was open for a bit!!
David was very surprised to see Tinkerbell and ran up to her and then jumped up and down and told us who she was.
This is toward the end of the day. David was slowly fading. The man taking the pics suggested we go to Ghiradelli and get sample chocolates to perk up the kids. So we did and he was right! David was wide awake after that!
We then headed to dinner and the best part about being over at California Adventure is the wine!!! This is the way every parent should have dinner at Disneyland!!! It gave Jamie and I the energy to keep going!!!
Parade time, again David was silent and just soaking it all in.
View of Cars Land, I thought the way the sun reflected was so cool.
Check out Tower of Terror glowing in the sunset!!!
Finally!! Lightening McQueen!!!! David had been asking allllllll day to see him!
This remote car was so cool. The handheld controller shines a red light on the ground and the car chases the light. David loved this and would jump up and down when the car ran over the light.
With no nap, David made it to a very respectable 8:45.
While watching the World of Color show, Kacey started putting her head down on Jamie's head. She finally leaned over and said "Daddy, I'm all done." So we put her in the stroller and she was out at 9:15.
Both kids were excellent all day and so well behaved. No tantrums, no screaming for ice cream. Just an overall fun day with 2 kids that truly were at the Happiest Place on Earth. Even Goofy agreed!
Jamie and I took our time walking to the car, almost like a date :)
