We set out pretty early but for some reason Kacey was asleep 5 minutes in to the 30 minute drive and David nodded off shortly thereafter.
Once Kacey was awake she got right into it.
She tried learning how to juggle batons. (not too successfully :)
She learned a dance around a maypole. (She is volunteering for all sorts of stuff these days, it's so much fun to watch her and see her so willing to try new things.)
maypole video
They both made candles.
David seemed to have more fun dipping them in the water and pretending they were boats.
They got to shoot a bow and arrows with daddy.
We got to ride on the super big swing. WOW, that was so much fun!!!!
David is at the far right on the red bench and Kacey is toward the back on the orange bench waiting their turns for the bungee jumper.
So excited to JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!!!!!
HIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
and even HHHHHHHIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!
Kacey volunteered to balance a broom on her head and then they both decided to watch a show.
At the very end, Kacey got to pick a flower headband and made friends with the faire maidens.
Overall it was a very fun day, can't wait to go again next year!!!

Misc March
Out to dinner with Kacey and Taline and they were so excited to get their own table!
and ice cream...
My Star Wars loving kids...
Got bored kids? Give them water and paintbrushes and they will be occupied for hours! I mean minutes.....
Playdate with Londyn. Kacey and David both had fun in this car.
Real painting is fun too :)
My grandmother gave us a Lincoln Rose plant for our house and Jamie planted it right next to the front door. It had it's first bloom!!! Lovely!!!
Deer stopping by to check on us.
I put the trains away and pulled out the legos. The kids had so much fun with the change!!!
Happily playing together. I like to try to get these rare moments on camera.
Kacey took all these blocks and crossed them then told me that is how much she loves me.. Huh? She explained that x's mean love. Ahhhhh....
Her writing is greatly improving. Her birthday card for Lilli.

Guest room/ Office redo.
So we bought this house last August and since it is our forever home, I am taking my time doing stuff to it. Our living room still has empty walls and I haven't quite found the color I want for the main walls. On that note though, we have old furniture that I want to replace but won't do until the kids are old enough to not destroy it. So the living room will be a work in progress for a while.
I love bold colors and fortunately, Jamie does too. When we were picking a color scheme for the house there was a beautiful dark teal that went with everything but I opted for the dark blue in the dining room instead. I still wanted to use the teal but where? It seemed to dark for a bedroom but the office might just work. There are 2 windows in there so it gets alot of light and wouldn't be too cave like. So I tried it :)
I started by painting the back of the cabinets the same red as the accent walls in the living room.
Some pics of the room with the plain old peachish color...
The office area just looks messy to me!
The white curtains just blend into the walls.
It took 2 hours!!! to move everything to the center of the room, off the walls and patch the holes. Oh my!! Thanks to Alex for taking both my kids for 1/2 a day!
The first bit painted with the newly painted cabinet and the shelves rewrapped in new contact paper. They were a green stripe before. I love this contrast!
I wrapped the shelves that go above my desk too.
I picked up this pretty red lamp for a pop of color and light for guests so they aren't stuck with just the overhead.
Look at the white curtains pop now!!!!
David approves (need to paint those doors next, very demotivated as I just want to replace all the doors in the house.)
Bookshelf all done!
Jamie's grandfather's flag from his military service with pics of him and Jamie in it. Such a lovely gift from Grandma Hazel.
TV shelf even looks better, you'd never guess I found it on the street and painted it. :)
Office area looks more put together to me now. The pic above the tv was drawn by my paternal grandmother and given to me by my aunt for my college graduation.
I now feel like the room is pretty complete. Someday the cat stuff will be gone, the doors will get replaced and the easel will be moved out but for now I am content. :) One room at a time!!!!
