Kacey got to be a flower girl again! Last year was my cousin Renee and this year was for her sister Megann. Happy girl! Here are some of my favorite pics.

I gave Kacey a sleeping mask that was laying around. She asked what it was for and an hour later asked if she could take a nap. A friend was over and playing in her room so I told her to sleep in my bed not thinking she really would. Well 15 minutes later this is how I found her and she slept for 1 1/2 hours!!
David FLIPPED out at Alex's house because he wanted Taline's purse. Taline was kind enough to let him use it and he was soooo happy. Carried it around for hours.

David wanted to go to bed so Jamie held him and he passed out while we were out to dinner.
We drove Jamie to the airport that night and Kacey fell asleep in the car. Jamie had promised to give her a big hug and he kept that promise even though she slept through it. :)

Lorelei had her 3rd birthday party where we take gym classes. Alex had made these amazing crowns and capes for the boys (YES! she made those!) David had a blast pretending to be super heroes.

David outgrew his toddler bed so it was time to upgrade.
Both kids LOVE it! David loves his "upstairs bed" and Kacey loves the underneath and keeps playing school. I laid out a blanket and put a bookshelf and light underneath along with their bean bags. A cozy little space.

After 2 months of "potty training" David has finally done the #2 deed in the potty. Pigs started flying, rainbows appeared in the sky and a choir of angels sang. Then we went and celebrated with chocolate ice cream. :)

This is how David did swimming today! He still cried alot but he is definitely learning something.

David is taking an intensive 8 day swim class. The first 2 days went great. David's biggest problems were that he smiled too much and wouldn't close his mouth under water. :) He also had a lot of trouble trying to get the hang of clasping his hands. It was pretty funny watching him try.



Days 3 and 4 went really badly. She was letting him go under water without holding on to him and I think it was just too scary. He ended up screaming the entire time both days. So yesterday afternoon we went to our pool and after playing for 1/2 hour he started doing this.


So now I am curious to see how today goes! It looks like he was working on conquering his fear all by himself.

We took David to his very first movie in a theatre! We went as a family to Monsters University and both kids loved it, surprise surprise.
Last week Kacey asked to go to tide pools and find a starfish that needs help so off we went. It turned out to be a really fun time.




Daddy had to leave for a few days and Kacey stayed up past her bedtime to help me drive him to LAX. :) She had a super hard time saying goodbye but I think it was even harder for Jamie!
Descanso Gardens has Family night every Tuesday this summer. This week they did "Taming of the Shrew" and Kacey loved it! Who knew a 5 year old could get so into Shakespeare?
We also went to the eye doctor for her pre Kindergarten check up. Fortunately it looks like she has my eyes and not her daddy's.

Descanso Gardens has started their family Tuesday nights. To kick off the season they had a Faery Show. The girls were dressed up and ready!!
David was so inspired he dressed up the next day. :)

On Kacey's last day of preschool, she went on a field trip and David and I got to go too! We got to ride the BeeLine bus a few blocks to Round Table Pizza.
I think David loved the "city bus" more than the pizza.
Kacey liked it too :)

When we got back to the school, Kacey took her time saying goodbye to her teachers. David went over to the reading area and just started reading. It was very sweet.
We got daddy a new hammock for his birthday and it was a big hit!
