this special post is not from my distant past but is ongoing and current, special edition of the whole barlow fam instigated from daniel and esecially for tisme2gail from northcumberland england....almost in scotland...!. when george osmond was in the hospital and lived as our neighbor and was in provo hospital dying, daniel and i and berly went for hearing aid checks...i saw george walking towards me with that famous smile and he brightened right up...i said i love you george and he hugged me...he died 4 weeks later...2,,,donny did take anna osmond, his niece and my daughter becky to a movie he stared in {he was the voice in a cartoon show} for becky's 16th birthday in downtown ephraim....this was when he was single and a long time ago...tom is the deaf osmond who is one of my best friends and anna is his dAughter and he served with me in our stake mission program and just last week tom was in my high priest class when i related as a teacher how unified we were in our program and i mentioned tom and a convert to our faith, a teressa brooks, and then he said do you remember tom greenhauch????i said yes , and this fellow who had a problem with drugs was promised by tom that if he would go to church just once that he would introduce{his brother and sister].....and him to donnie and marie,,,I ENDED UP WITH HIM ON THE FRONT PUE...SO HE AND HIS DAD AND OLIVE LIVED AS OUR NEIGHBORS 5 HOUSES SOUTH OF US....also tom went camping with us many times to see if he could see a bar [BEAR}and we had a rope swing over a lake that he would go on and more than once got dumped into the lake...i have many more stories gail, just say the word and i will tell a story...here comes some more,,,merill and wayne both have homes, one in mt pleasant the other right here in ephraim...of course you are only interested in donnie, right???well he was over to my very next door neighbor and marie for a confirmation and stayed for dinner and of course we get all of marie's dolls that are just out of this world, and although donnie is doing good in his marriage and with his kids, marie hasn't fared as well, but she works at it...they really are great people and little tommy the nephew of donnie we see every day since his other grandpa lives right next door, carolyn is the wife of tom, sister-in-law to donnie...i love donnie in the tecnicolor coat of many colors...but i mostly love the music by lord byron who is all english

the royal copenhagen museum was incredible...we saw the flora dancia collection{a super old huge dish set with different plants of Denmark on it} vibeke was so impressed that i knew what it was and was all excited to show me...she would tell everyone that i was american and they would give me free phamphlets, that everyone else had to pay for...yakob and gut met us there and we took a walking tour....we went into a huge church that was so unreal with all the tapestries and gothic statues..yakob works for the government and had to return to work and was to take a bus and meet us later....the harbor and the Amalicborg where the Queen livwes and yes she was at home, and the statute of the "little mermaid"...eller den litle harvfrue, pi dansk....she is so smalkl, but she has this huge reputation and represents this tiny country that i think is so great..on the way to tivoli, i saw a man run over by a bus and he was screaming in dutch, some awful swear words...it was the bus outside christianborg that yakob was to be on...he wasn't there so i walked around looking for him in the gardens until 4:30...i went to the shopping street to look for a phone when i saw it...it was a 1921 copenhagen blue plate in a store window,,, the year of my mother's birth...it was a portr of a woman on a chair and it was now mine...

it is curiouser and couriouser that people in christmas troll stories look exactly like people you know...how is that??? my grandaughter megan is here for the thanksgiving holidays and her express person is in jan brett's christmas troll book... the trolls squealed as they jummped up and down with glee...treva noticed the christmas pudding flying across the snow...she harnessed arni bells and all and looking exactly like megan raced into the forest...stop, come back...hey trolls those are are christmas things..

our landlord was 47 years old, and he ran up to us in the street in fron't of our house yelling, 'elder,elder',and died suddenly falling forward of a stroke....we tried mouth to mouth and the heimlick, but were unsuccessful....our landlady ran out of the house yelling'what have you done????" Evans did not like english food so he concentrated on eating what he purely though was american food.........p.s.....i have a nice even lucky 13 for followeers, thanks.....need to answer LUCY'S question about food storage....go to dan's biker blog and see all the cabinets down in the basement, and karma has been filling thm up...vienna sausage, chilli, all girl's food GARDENDER ....we gave you a chance to water the plants we didn't mean that way now zip up your pants......i made an airplane out of stone...i always did like staying home....fellow named ollie hunter who was antagnistic against the church because his wife had a brain tumer and she was always in so much pain...we blessed her and she seemed healed, the doc's couldn't find anything wrong after that and the pain went away...he became our new WARD CLERK

i was running in a church parking lot with my arms open wide in the pitch black night when i ran into a volleyball standard with a cement tire securing it at the bottom. i split my mouth wide open...my missionary companion elder evans got malnutrician with little red dots all over his body by eating strictly peanut butter sandwiches, and when our landlord died in our arms, we got the blame...we tracted one city bromsgrove out three times in less than 6 months..in london i asked a woman where high holburn street was...she said ioburn, i said no high holburn, she said it it don't make no nere mind bit.. it...made me lauph[LAUGH] to see a cof[CALF] walk down the poth[PATH] to take a bof[BATH]..my companion wore a black turtleneck sweater and one guy kept saying yes father over and over at the door....i ran into a cow on my ten speed bike and jerry cockraines father was baptised back home in the states ....we finally closed down bromsgrove for backbiting and rededicated the area before the mission office moved us out....just after this tribulation we baptised for 12 straight weeks....gave a talk on the death of president kennedy when he was shot in Dallas Texas....graduated from college in august 1966 in business management with minors in pschology, finance,religion, statistics, and sociology

hand plows , indians, pioneers, wagons, horses, early 1800's before motors, electronics,....NOT cell phones, fax machines yes even this old internet which i am addicted too...where a man was judged on his sheer survival skills and not on his ability with things and operations, but on finding food with a rifle...you know lonesome dove, Rio Grande, Texas, cattle, little house on the parrie....a man could bury himself in a hole and cover himself up for the winter with his supply of water and food and wait for spring....he wouldn't be filing income tax returns or adicting himself on dangerous drugs or having to figure out tv remotes...stoves...i put a pizza in to cook and went back to check on it ...the stove door wouldn't open and it was smoky...all i was trying to do was cook a blasted pizza....i got it turned off but the stove still wouldn't open, instead there was a blinking sign on it that said" cooling down, please wait"

book reviews...four of them....sister's keeper.....very sad story about a disfunctionl family forced into being disfunctional through no fault of their own....one daughter was born to be spare parts for another daughter/sister who needs bone marrow, blood transfusions, cell structure etc etc etc from her genetic all similar sister in order to keep her alive....she sued her parents for the right to be autominous from her parents as regard to her medical decisions....the book seemed to always be tearing at the family structure....plotting and pitting one angainst another, and there was never a RIGHT decision....give it a 50 with 10 being the highest....mr. MURDER.... TWO look alikes, one a family man...the other a killer who covets the other's entire family as his own...i thought this was a good read but wondered where this author came up with his idea....mr brown wrote digital fortress...about codes and a machine that could break encyrpted codes... could be used in war when messages are sent to each other..a code that was so complex it broke the machine that was deciphering the message...oh dear i gave that book away...and then for no surf GNOMES by poortvliet and huygen....A FACT FILLED BOOOK ON THE HABITS, LIFE, LANGUAGE, HOBBIES, WORK, AND PERSONNAL QUIRKS OF gnomes, trolls,goblins elves, wood nymphs, uldras ghosts, and religion of very secretive creatures of all kinds...i give a 600 to this book 10 being the highest..............................only 83 days to go before i get my HAIRCUT...i can't wait

TTTTTTTTTthe only CriMinAl aCt in my entire life except for dog at large and for which i never got caught was one summer's night in 1969 after my wife and i and young daughter karen just finished a chicken dinner at the rooster's loft ...sugar city cafe in ceder city utah...i was putting some paper refuse in a large garbage can which turned out to be a TALL 100 gallon barrel of chicken grease and fat....i had my car keys in the same hand and as i threw the paper the keys went plunk center oF the vat or barrel...i thought how could i fish that out of there? I STARED AT IT FOR 10 MINUTES.. well i couldn't, it was too thick and too cloudy to see to the bottom....so i pushED it over and it splashed all over the lot...i waded in, and grapped my keys and took off in the waiting car and got out of town fast...i have decided to keep adding to old posts instead of of a new one...i really don't have much to say anymore...nothing is new under the sun, or moon, or stars, all old same o same o... be sure to go to the bottom of this page and read all about my ideas of money...NOONE IN the world thinks about money the way i do and you really need to know my ideas to get along in this old world, especially when the stock market looses 5oo points every other day[NOT OBAMA'S FAULT]

my daughter karen said it would more interesting to tell a story of war and horror that a romance story...so it is her fault...do not raise your head the drill sergent bellowed...we had to crawl under a three foot high barb wire with live fire, actual machine gun fire going over our heads...the bullets were to pass over our heads at excactully three feet, uless they lided top us, but i sre wasn't going to take that chance so i stayed as low as i could which meant my body was only a few inches off the ground, right smack on my belly with my nose lteraaly in the DIRT.......i was really sacred but but reqally not in any sdanger becsuse there is great diffdrence betwee a few inches and t=hree feet...you would have to be crawling on your kness and be 6 feet tall with your head straight up to be shot....we learned seveteen ways to kill a man

a deaf couple had just arrived at their motel for their honeymoon....they start unpacking and the nervous husband goes out to get a drink...it is pitch dark and he forgets his room number....all the rooms look alike and he walks to the car and continuously honks the car horn until all the rooms start lighting up with angry hearing people who were awakened by the noise. all but one room...he goes into that room...daniel always refered to our bathroom scales as a "foot clock"

i have done some real research on this...our halloween costumes for our five children were always indicative of their inheritently different personalities as they passed from year to year...first kimberly and karen used to go together and karen as a big sister would always take tony, and then mike, bec and dan...this is how our halloween looked...becky was a bird,cat,witch, rabbit, bunny rabbit, raggetty ann and dancer...daniel was a clown, army guy mummy, grim reaper and a weird grown up...mike was a a pirate, army guy, cool dude, robot and refridgerator....tony was a deer hunter...karen was a ballerina...now days some dress up as women of the night, real bad stuff...things have really changed

ok....so no one out there became a joseph sold into egupt and interpreted my dreams....your loss.....my interpretations....i think i am afraid of my job......i think i am afraid of NOT paying my tiths.....that i am afraid to die,,,,,,,and afraid to go back to college....post script....i don't like living in a neighborhood where there are so many cops on my street

i was a cutodian with a major inspection due...i was almost through cleaning the building when a group of people came in to eat...they threw carrots all over the kitchen and when the inspection team got to the stake center in ephraim the group had also brought hay into the cultural hall,,,before the end of the night all the girls had been raped and when i had gotten all the girls into the ambulances and was almost finally caught up with my cleaning by removing all the hay and carrots, the boys who violated the girls threw molitov coktails into the stake center burning it to the ground.... i started to dust the ashes with my feather duster when when the inspection team said it was too late to do that since i had just failed the inspection...i got blamed for the girls also, and the burning of the building and they also mentioned the previous mess of hay and carrots that caused me to fail the inspection because it WAS ALL DAVID'S FAULT..pay your tithing..nov 28 1999..i dreampt karma had an accident earlier in the day...she had a slight neck problem, that night i went to my stake president for an interview when in walks howard w hunter...i was visablly shaken..i did not expect this...he asked me if i was all right//AND TO SIT DOWN, I WAS FAINT...HE THEN SAID[i was expecting to go to spring hill missouri, or be thrown out of the church, well it was almost worse}you have not paid all of your tithing, i said 'HAVEN'T I????haven't i sent that check on the hutch in yet?he said"apparently not....i got up and checked the hutch for the tith check...the check was gone....i asked karma where it was and she said she had it in her purse....i then asked her to hand it in

i have been having this dream every single night..i go to the registar at utah state university and tell them that i have completed another 10 hours of classwork and am told i only need 4 to graduate but by the time i am supposed to see my graduation, the registration people tell me "i'll be just a moment" and i am wisked off to my wakeful life without my degree never knowing whether i have graduated...the next night i dream of taking another 10 hours of classes to complete my required core, but i can't find the classroom, and spend the whole night in my dream looking, but finnally finish, tests and all...later going back to the reistrar thinking now i must be past the point of graduation when he says "i'll be just a moment" and left standing there and wisked off to my wakeful life...the point is i finished a degree at byu and took master's classes at snow college...even though i got straight a's in course work i never felt finished...i am really wondering if god expects me to go back and finish as a master in history...the next dream is called apparantly dead...i died and apparently karma, jay snow, lois snow, and my dad were all dead too...i was expecting some punishment for all my sins because i started out all alone...i was in this big waiting room, i knew i was supposed to wait there, but i was afraid i was in spirit prison and so i got up to wander around{WHICH I ALWAYs DO] a bit to see if i could better the place where i was at...the first thing, was i found myself in this big silver building looking for karma lee..i asked a breaded man if he had seen my wife and he pointed over to my wife and said" all you had to do was ask god",,,,,well i was still worried i was where i shouldn't be so i and karma wandered down this corridor and spent hours poking into this room and that room asked the same man where the celestial waiting room was, the man said"do you remember jay snow?" i said "yes" and he said" well he is back at the waiting room that you started in....so me and karma starteed to walk back and found jay snow wandereding around too and asked him where lois was...he said he had no idea but would me and karma go with him to find her...so we went back to the waiting roomand back in the silver building where we found lois snow and told jay all he had to do was ask god and return to the waiting room...we found my dad who was looking for my mom and he decided to walk back with us, when we got back to where we were supposed to be, we were all looking around since we were all upset thinking we would see the devil and our sure punishment, but instead i saw my mom sitting peaceably and lois said she was in so much peace and lois said" what you should have done at the start was sit alone in that big waiting room from that very first moment on and i said", well that sure all makes sense, lois"

why am i so interested in the daily events of so many that i blog too???don't i have a life???why don't i get a life...i get involved with their sicknesses, triumphs, their polotics, their kids, morning sickness, books they read, books i read...am i just a busy body...are you all busy bodies???or is it that we are so similar that we can learn from each other and teach each other...anyone got an explanation for that?

best science fiction book ever written...about the adventure's of an ordinary man like me who shrank into a cube of berylum x,,dense cube..and into the molecule of an atom with a sun as a neucleus and then into a tiny world but he was larger and then tiny once again int that world and shrinking still as him, as a giant enteringing over and over into interesting worlds...it would be the same as he enlarging going the other way upwards becoming tiny as he moved out of the atom we are in, our sun which is part of a larger world..think about it folks,,give it 5 stars

on my paternal/maternal side my great great great grandmother and her mother with sarah, john dalton jr. hellena and edward were coming to american for mormonism..well john senior went to the boat to reluctantly see them off on the monarch of the sea,,,wel when they looked around as the boat was leaving , sarah was missing, 2 years old...old john dalton had SNATCHED her from the boat and took her back to manchester to raise her in the silk industry...she was pampered, and was married to james barlow, who died young 33, in an accident.....sarah never saw her mother, grandmother, brother or sisters again...america was only possible for the putz because ernest left to work for his uncle john dalton jr. jr. in 1909

edith only wife of ernestborn eleven out of twelve...unbelievable story with her dealing with medical doctors in tooeleafter the birth of her fifth child lillian, her placenta burst and did not exit her body...rather than surgically remove it, the doctors jammed a hot iron rod up iside of her allowing the placenta to grow on the iron rod...she was in her twenties...after a period of time the rod was pulled out of her ripping the placenta from her body, the pain was impossible for her to endure...she receded back into her mind and ver soon afterward performed weird acts such as placing her last born llilian into an oven....they did not medicate edith or give her therapy for post mortem depression but instead placed her in a mental institution in american fork hospital where she remained all the days of her life dying in 1972 and her husband in 1974.......so my father was motherless and ernest single....ernest was on the boat erie on april 9, 1909, his work journal recorded, clear crisp cold days standing on the bow of the great boat...long and boring...he did not get sea sick and spied the glacial snow in the distance...GREENLAND...arrived at new york harbor and boared a smokey black train which had terrible delays...he worked for a mr. black and his uncle, a mr. daltonalmost continually with little time for seep, food or pleasure..he was a member of the firedepartment and sang in the opera with edith at many opportunities...edith was one of very few, i have ever considered BEAUTIFUL

i am going to write a brand new make believe story...my dad always says just say you did, and it is as good as if you did....SO; a trip to brian head this week end wit thew fam...we headed out the drive way at 12noon on friday and drove through the picturesk cove fort area with and the red and sand colored rock formations noteting the treck of the cove fort pioneers...arrived at brian head at 300 and saw the tall peak of "brian's head" and unpackeed while dan rode his $4000 bike through the trail head...we ate at pepe la plu's restaurant and had esgargot in mushroom sause...afterwards we lounged in our favorite spa at the hotel...we watched the olypmpics on our t.v. and went to bed with the silent hum of the airconditioner...wokwe up and had a later brunch of rolls, eggs, and bisquits...walked up to the lodge and then out to the trail to 'BRIAN'S HEAD", GOT back to see a school of moose cross the srtream...we had a quick lunch of lunchmeat and cheese and checked out of the hotel by 11 a.m.....we took a leisrely drive down the canyon to cedar city to buy some personal supplies for speedy, our hearing dog...headed for the longer drive home and arrived on saturday at 600clock..NOW THERE I DON'T HAVE TO GO

we had the worst winter i had ever seen in my fifteen yearswhich story i call twelve foot snow drifts(EXAGGERATION) ....i was walking home through the football field like i always did after school with my black tall boots that you clipped together with a clasp on the other side of the boot, it came halfway up your leg of your pant inside your boot....i was loaded down with books and falling about every second step and i looked up and saw this monsterous drift over the football field on the west and proceeded to walk up and over the South Col...i walked over the fence and rollled down the other side just making it home before dark...i rememember being in love with joann johnson, just two houses up from me.....she was coach johnson's daughter...he was the assistant football coach and head basketball coach under coach stringham and taught english...well i called her up on a date that was a mistake because i never called back and her mother answered the phone and said that her daughter was not at home...i said i would call back and and identified myself...her mother told her i called and from that day into the future she would give me funny looks...her girl friends wondered why i never called back but i was shy and had a chipped tooth that ruined my looks

we have lived 66 years( who is this wee business...do i have a mouse in my pocket?) i have lived 66 years without an air conditioner and have done so quite nicely), so my wife buys one....i freeze....gloves to put on the t.v., sweaters down stairs...now that is not the story....here is the story....our A/C IS VERY, VERY POWERFUL...one technition told me not to run it unless all the vents are open, well another guy told my wife, the A/C is sized for the house and not to worry...really that is still not the story...i was sitting home alone as usual while my wife was shopping....she never sits home, so why did she buy an A/C??????well a lud noise and gas all over the house, deadly freon gas....so my wife comes home and asks what i did? i just sat there waiting to die ....i did'n't buy the damned thing and now she thought i was running it without her permission....well....not the story....we are still running the overpowered thing because some kid says our house is SIZED FOR IT.....i hear the machine and it is building up all this air and the air has no place to go...NOW THE STORY IS i sit here ready to be gassed again by freon...CABEEESh?

many of you out there might have forgotten the putz's orientation to the latter day church and yet many of my readers might know that our church wants it's potential missionaries to be mentally stable(well yeh} , physically able, and emotionally in tune with fervent testimonies of our savior jesus christ and of the restored gospel....this in an 18 year old boy and yet while these requirements are necessary, they also want to double or triple the numbers of boys in the world preaching...wow this is quite a task, to multiple missionaries and to make the requirements out of this world...sort of a catch 22....both quality and quanity upwhile the number of available boys of course stays the same...i guess we have to start with our babies and keep at it throughout their lifes...we now have our annual MORMON MIRACLE..once again we cater to the casual visitor on "how much do you know about the church of jesus christ of latter day saints"....we must worry about our inactives, our new converts, those out there who have never heard of us....remember we are those young guys in black suits who go around in pairs, and our dead's salvation
