Summer Fun!

Really, could this girl be any more beautiful? I guess if she is surrounded by wild daisies!

Randy took the kids somewhere pretty while mommy was on a break.

Who wants Grace and Hattie to come? I do, I do, I do!!! The kids had so much fun with their cousins. I think Michelle and I still have not recovered, but we did the maximum amount of activities that were humanly possible in the short week they were here.

We kicked off the week with a BBQ at Grandma's and rockets with Grandpa.

Here are the two biggest trouble makers. I don't think anyone could beat them at temper tantrums or pure naughtiness. They sure look cute and sweet in this picture.

Here's Grandpa leading all the little ducklings to the school to launch some rockets. They sure are "radical" according to Grandpa Lyle. Does anyone still use that word besides him? I don't remember ever using it. "Rad" maybe in the 9th grade. Yeah, everything was rad back then.

Grace and Hattie have never seen the rockets before, so this was pretty impressive.

Aunt Shell (photo by Miss Kate Elayne). I think my kids get the best photos sometimes.

Sean doesn't even like the zoo... It's like the first time every time for this kid. Well, mostly he likes shopping at the gift shop at the end.

I think we have at least a dozen photos of him on this wolf. I'm going to find them all and do an age progression. He'll probably still be riding this thing as a teenager.

The tigers gave us quite a show splashing in the water. This one just tried to jump on Kate. Now that's a front row seat.

Grandma is having sooo much fun on the train.

Ewwww! The grossest place on earth. This will be my last trip to This is the Place. Sorry Brigham, but your pristine monument has been turned upside down with Groupons and Day Care kids. I think this was the least amount of fun I have ever had.

We threw a little early Father's Day dinner for Grandpa Lyle. We decided to get him a toy box full of toys so the kids would have fun at his house.

As if we weren't tired enough, we spent all week getting ready for Jessica's bridal shower. It was way more fun to plan that it was on the actual day. These are the little party favors. I thought they were so cute.

Kate and Hattie got into their matching best and got ready for the shower.

Michelle spent about 10 hours making this cake. Fondant is no joke. I would never have the patience for this nonsense. It was delicious though, and super cute.

All the swisters.

Summer is here! Finally!! The kids have ran through the sprinklers 10 out of the last 10 days.

Sean's shark bed. This was my attempt to get him sleeping in his bed. The next day he lost his tooth, so I told him we needed to stay here so the tooth fairy could find him. After laying by him for 3 hours, he said, "Mama, can we go to our bed now?" The kid is going to sleep by me until he's in high school I swear. I had to leave a note to direct the tooth fairy to "our room."

I can't believe he lost his first tooth. Out of all the milestones, this one is the only one that really makes me sad. After their baby teeth come out, they start looking different, and loose that innocent look. It was such a strange event too. I knew his tooth was a little loose, but I had no idea it was going to come out soon. We were on the way up to Ruth's diner for Father's Day, and he started crying in the car saying his tooth hurt. When we got there I saw it literally hanging by a thread. I tried to get him to let us pull it before we ate so he wouldn't swallow it, but he was too scared. About 5 bites into the meal it came out. I was trying to get the food out of his mouth and he was freaking out. I couldn't find the tooth, and was so sad that he probably swallowed his first tooth. Then after looking at all the crumbs on the floor, I spotted it. Yay! The tooth fairy brought him a box to put his baby teeth in, some little sharks, and 5 bucks.

So I've always thought out of all my sisters, I look the most like Jessica. I went and got my hair done the other day, and the girl curled it for me. I'm seriously the spittin' image of Emily. So weird!

Awww fur cute!

Going through my latest photos, I realized I have a ton of cute pictures. There's no significant events to cheer about, just many typical days in the lives of two cute stinkers.

Here they are with their matching zoo jammies. We've been waiting for over a year for the zoo to get the right sizes. On our first trip of the year...viola...sizes for both.

Since Randy can't ever just watch the kids for a minute, this is what they do whenever I need to leave them with him. It usually involves some raging river to look at or busy street to cross.

Underwater photos at swimming lessons. My two peas in a pod.

Kate diving off the diving board. She's a little more advanced than most two year olds don't you think?

We went to Grandma Primmer's just long enough to take this picture. I love how they both have their fingers in their mouth. Truly from the same mold. Jessica called us the day after we got there and said she was in the hospital and going to have her appendix out. We headed back home after only being there for about 20 hours.

Kate on her scooter in her swimsuit. She'd rather be naked, but if she has to put on clothes, a swimsuit is her first choice.

Some more random cuteness.

Some Easter Sunday pictures that got lost in the shuffle.

True love.
