jman and rob go camping in the backyard!

Rob and Jackson...ready to sleep in the backyard...jman did not like rob's bite guard..jman also had several failed attempts with the walkie talkie while I had the other one inside. They both slept through the night! Rob said that jman was all other the tent- not surprised, but was asleep the whole time:)

Some of the Barry's over to remember Susie
Yep! He is ONE!

So this year has been heavy in many ways so far...but the Lord has been so good to us and letting us see HIM work. I am amazed at how POWERFUL He is! We get stuck in life with the business of kids, work, family, friends, and church and although I know He is soveriegn and "in control" to see HIM just open up Rob's moms heart in her last days to Christ was POWER. He can do the impossible.

So January started off with Rob's mom in her last days....from fighting a 13 year long battle with cancer. I never knew her without cancer. I know that she has a new body in heaven and doesn't need any more bananas to help her cramps. She loved her 7kids and enjoyed her grandkids to the full. She professed that Jesus was her savior 2 weeks before her death and with all His mercy and grace, Susie is in heaven!

The death has been weird to think about. Rob has been dealing with the "business" side of his mother's death. We are beginning to feel the awkwardness that she is not at her house...so no more trips to see Susie. She really did have a great way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. I am glad that my husband also possess that trait:)

Along with her death...Benjamin got RSV and pnemonia in January and then extremely bad ear infections followed by a stomach virus and then 2 more cold-like viruses. Needless to say I am glad that winter is over!! I feel like I have been going from one thing to the other.

Highlights have been that Rob and I got away for the first time since having Benjamin. Mom and Rodney kept both boys and we went to Kanas City b/c rob did a wedding there. He has gotten so good at weddings that he has little prep and still does a great job! So we had a great time reconnecting as just "Rob and Les"!

Since we got back it has been wild with getting our house ready to be on the market then actually putting it on the market. So there you have it! The last 3 months...and I don't want to miss the fact that Bubba turned ONE!

I am amazed with this little man..Benjamin "bubba" Barry! He is a roit! He is into all things and acts like he is 2. He makes the BEST facial expressions and when he dances he stomps his feet like he is marching! His dimples make you want to take a bite of them and he seriously just wants to have a good time. He Loves his lovies, taking baths and sitting under the warm water as it runs down his back, eating anything in front of him: bananas & cereal bars, playing chase with his brother, LOVE the outside and puts his sweet head on my shoulder at night before he goes to sleep! He is a gift! I am GRATEFUL!

That is all I got! Praying for our next home...and keeping up with the Boys!

My boys...........

B man is ALL over the house! Crawling and pulling up at 6 months! Where did my baby go?
J man picked the ONLY tomato that was on our tomato plan next to the basil!
One day I will have a legit veggie garden....this is my baby step!
J sporting his new hair cut...he always throws in some random hand move in his pics:)
Bye Bye bowl cut:(
Cousin Claire is 5!!
Alan and Deonne and the girls came down in August we went to the DWA!
Love the difference between boys and girls so displayed in this pic!
We got professional pics taken in July...bman was 6months and Jman is 3 yrs. 3mon.

OOh I need to catch up on my sweet boys....here I go:

J-man:
- he comes up with the most amazing stories..tonight he told me, "That when he shut his eyes he sees a square and then Larry the Cucumber (from Veggie Tales) is in it looking for a bird and mom is sleeping! I personally like the part where I am sleeping!
- J likes to climb EVERYTHING! He can climb most trees to the height of the top of the house on his own!
- He likes to know what "mobies" aka "movies" that other people have at their house.
- He loves his daddy!
- He always gets up at 7:00 am and is not a fan of naps..
- He likes to make forts with the couch cushions and tunnels....he likes to talk about tunnels!
- He likes to eat toothpaste and is always snicking it from us! We obviously have not made the switch to fluoride toothpaste.
- He wakes me up in the morning and wants me up ASAP!
- He likes to play with his brother and acts like Benjamin is chasing him when B is crawling.
- He says the word "poopie" when he doesn't know what to say in front of people
- He is talking about the circus a month after we went...and how he wants to go back! At the circus he acted miserable...my mom and I tried everything to get him to smile and he never did, we were sure he was traumatized by it. However, he has now come out of the circus cloud and is talking about it! He wants to go back and get a toy!
- Has set fire to a fake flower that was in a vase by putting it over the candle it was next to at a restaurant
-Likes flashlights to look for lost treasure under his bed!
- Current injuries to date include: chipped tooth, broken nose and busted lip
- loves yogurt and cheesesticks

B-man:
- just the sweetest baby!
- for his first 3 months I always fell asleep with him on my chest and he never moved! It was sweet!
- He is all over the house with crawling and pulling up on everything!
- He has the sweetest smile:)
- After he is finished nursing he always smiles really big and babbles..like he has a lot to tell me!
- He plays with J man...and only cries for a little bit when J pushes him over lays on him until I get J man off~
- He LOVES to be close and loves to ride in the Baby Bjorn..
- He cries like a tiger when he wants out of his carseat!
- laughs when you eat his legs
- says "da" when he is done feeding:)
- tough baby!:)
- stops crying when he sees his brother!
- got his first two teeth within a week of each other...not a lot of sleep that week!!

Overall, I am loving these boys! They make me tired and worn out but I would do it over and over just because they are the most amazing blessing....I am grateful!
