Hey, Andrea..
Do you remember these good old days? No- these pictures are not flattering. But when I ran across them today, I just had to scan them in and show them to you through this post. I had a dream last night that you and Casey came to visit us in Ohio. I guess that means you're supposed to come!

COSI
We have a really fun Science Museum here in Columbus. It's called COSI. We have a season pass to this "hang out" and Whitney loves it. We took her a week and a half ago to let her play in the fun kiddie area. Here are some pictures of Whitney enjoying her time:
Playing on the stairs.
Whitney loves light switches, so this huge one was a special treat. On-off-on-off.
Driving in the ambulance. She loved having her hands on the wheel and was turning it just like mommy does.
Bart & Whitney
Here's a picture of Flat Jessica (Whitney's cousin's school project). She loved COSI too.
Whitney pushed Jadyn in the grocery cart. Neither of them wanted to say cheese!

Tumbling
This winter we've enrolled Whitney into a little tumbling class. It's basically a free-for-all. Whitney LOVES it! She was always a little cautious when it came to putting her gross motor skills to work. But since being in this class, she has become more daring and loves to "jump!jump!jump!" Go for the gold, baby!

Jadyn is in the same class. These two are by far the youngest and have to dodge the older children who like to push them down. Watch out you three-year-old in the leotard, Mama Bear is going to take you out one of these days!

Mandiball
Last night, Bart & I went to the Dental "Prom." It was so much fun. We haven't had that much fun dancing in... well... a long time. We got all dressed up (thank you to Kendall & Nancy for lending me such cute things) and went out on the town. Whitney was already in bed before we left, which made things even MORE fun! (We love you, Whit-- but we also love having a night out!) The dinner and dance were Downtown Columbus. We even had valet parking.
Here are some of the fun things we did:
When we arrived they were serving some hors d'oeuvre ( that's the correct spelling for ORDERVES) before the meal. This was basically time to see what everyone was doing. Here are a few girls just talking:
This was our table. Here we are talking before it's time to eat.
Here's my good friend, Rachel. We had the best time shopping for dresses last week. There's nothing quite like prom dress shopping with your girlfriends. Let's just say it was comparable to my dressing room-hysterical-laughing-experiences with my mom and sisters.

Look at this 100% totally edible cake. I think if they made these in "life size" than people might have a better experience when they visited the dentist.
Bart & me before the dinner.
During dinner:
During dinner, OSU's President, Gordon Gee was walking around shaking hands. We got a picture with him. Gordon Gee and Bart's dad were in the same fraternity in college. He said next time Steve's in town, then he needs to come see him.
The best part of the evening was all the dancing. We had so much fun.
I dare say that I'm married to just about the cutest dancer ever.
We had such a good time together.
Before we knew it, it was time to leave. So sad! Here's Dallin, Brett and Bart waiting for our cars:
Right before we left for the evening. So sad the night was over so quickly!
Thanks for the great date, Bart!

Date Night
With a few friends, we started a Baby-Sitters Club so we could have some date nights. So far, it's worked out pretty well. This is one of our dates at Chili's. So fun. Thanks to our winnings at the Ping Pong/Pool Paxton Family Contest, we had gift certificates. Food always tastes better that way, right? Well, it does for me, at least.

Curly
So, it's pretty obvious that Whitney looks like her daddy. (Sure, she has my mouth, but her eyes are all Bart.) The other day, after she ate lunch, I was cleaning Whitney in the bathroom sink. I let her play in the water... and... because I was bored, I decided to go T.U. and put some mousse in her hair. I'll be the first to say I'm NOT one for putting product in a 1-year-old's hair... But after I put it in, I decided she looked a little more like me. It seemed like a different side of her came out, and she was so sass-a-frass with her curly hair. Anyway, here are some pics of the curls.

Chocolate Factory
Our ward's mid-week activity group went on a tour to the Anthony Thomas Chocolate Factory. It didn't quite compare to Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, but it was pretty close. They wouldn't let us take pictures of the Oompa Loompas- but they were definitely there. (Sorry! No cameras allowed back in the factory.) We had to settle for pictures inside the gift shop.
As a true chocolate lover, here are 3 of the many interesting facts about chocolate I learned while on the tour:
1. There is NO chocolate in white chocolate. (Eat your heart out Steve! Steve is my father-in-law and hasn't had chocolate in years. Poor thing.) White chocolate is made from butter & sugar and vanilla.
2. Anthony Thomas produces some of the chocolate candies for other chocolate companies. When I asked the tour guide, "Like what companies?" She said, "I cannot tell you." Then she whispered the name of one of the companies in my ear. It's seems I come across very trust worthy.
3. Chocolate has a shelf life of 1 year. It's no wonder my Halloween candy still tasted good at Easter.
Here is a picture of Whitney with the biggest chocolate buckeye. It costs a mere $3,500! ("I want that!"from Napoleon Dynamite)
Whitney with the Buckeye. (That's actually not peanut butter in that buckeye. It's white chocolate with a dye that makes it light brown.)

They also want to make sure nobody steals any chocolate from the factory. You have to get on this little scale before & after your tour to make sure you haven't gained any weight.

Daddy Daughter Dates
Since the beginning of this year, Bart has been taking Whitney out each Saturday on a Daddy/Daughter Date. It's pretty cute. Their first date was to McDonald's, the pet store and then to Graeter's Ice Cream. Wow! She even got a Happy Meal. That's better than our first date! She came home from that first date with a pink balloon and was SO happy!
I was able to be the 3rd wheel on one of their more recent dates. We went to the pet store and then over to Wendy's. I was having a case of Vertigo (I was very dizzy) and the pet store smelled.... like animals. Go figure. This pet store is pretty cool, though. You can hold any of the dogs, hamsters, bunnies, & even the big huge birds. Bart likes the big birds. Whitney hates those big birds. They even have this tortoise who walks around freely with a big helium balloon taped to his shell. Whitney loves him. My favorite part of the pet store? There is hand sanitizer everywhere.
Whit was lovin' the food at Wendy's. I think it's because I was eating a ton of it when I was pregnant with her.

She loves ranch dressing. It's oh-so-nutritious.
