Christmas Time

On Christmas Eve, we went to Rachelle and Scott's for dinner.  While dinner was cooking, Peter and Thomas had fun playing with Grandpa.

Rachelle set a lovely table with the "crackers" for us to open.

We had a dinner of moose steak that Scott had hunted.

Peter and Thomas loved the crowns from inside their crackers.

On Christmas day, the Pessettos came to our house.  We acted out Lehi's dream with our Tree of Life.

Peter loved opening his gift of a green garbage truck.  He has been asking for a garbage truck for months.

Jacob got some wonderful gifts.

The day after Christmas, we went to the Captain Cook Hotel to see the gingerbread village

Besides the gingerbread display, there are other beautiful Christmas decorations.

We had a wonderful Christmas season with family and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Crystal Ball

The Crystal Ball is the winter formal dance at Jacob's high school.  Each of the fine arts teachers selects a boy and a girl from their classes to be on the court.  Jacob and Yu-Jin were chosen from the band.

The week before the dance was "spirit week" and the members of the court had to dress up and wear their sash each day to school.

On Friday, the court was taken to lunch at a local restaurant.  They were treated like royalty.

At the school assembly, each member of the court was introduced as they walked down the red carpet.

Jacob's bio:
Jacob Fisher is the son of Brent and Sharon Kaye Fisher. He has a 4.12 GPA and has been in Jazz and Symphonic Band for 4 years. He has participated in DNL, Solo & Ensemble, and pit orchestra.  Jacob recently joined the UAA Wind Ensemble and Sinfonia.  He's a part of eight clubs at Dimond including NHS & Frisbee Club. Jacob plans to go to BYU and major in Electrical Engineering.

Yu-Jin and Jacob posed with their band instruments (flute and trombone slide).

The night of the dance, Jacob took his friend, Hannah, as his date.

Before the dance, a group of friends met and car pooled to the dance.

Being part of "royalty" for a week was a fun experience for Jacob.

Halloween Costumes

For Halloween, Jacob dressed up for school as "Capitalism".  Jacob is so creative with costumes.

In the evening, Rachelle's family came over.  Peter was so proud of his costume that he and his mom made.  He loved being a fire truck.

Happy Birthday, Jacob

Jacob had a fun birthday.

On the weekend friends came over for a game and movie night.

Jacob got a fun t-shirt (very much something an engineer would wear.)  He got frames for the Japanese silk pictures that he got from Grandpa Allred. He also got a high school class ring, birthday money, and lots of fun snacks.

Happy 17th birthday!

Home with the Family

We had a great celebration day -- Jeff's birthday and baby Benson coming home.

During the next week, we all enjoyed getting acquainted with this sweet baby.
Everyone loves their baby brother.

I'm so glad I got to spend time with my daughter and her family.

Baby is Born

While the older children were in school, Amy, Evelyn and I went to the Plymouth Cider Mills.

The rest of the day was rather quiet.  After the children were in bed, Amy and Jeff headed to the hospital.  Soon after they left, I got a text that we had a baby.  Yeah!

The next morning I showed a picture of baby to the children.  They were so excited.
After school, we all went to the hospital and they met baby brother.

We are so glad baby Benson is here.

Birthday for Brother

We had wondered if baby would share a birthday with big brother. Baby decided he wanted his own birthday.  We had a great time celebrating Ethan's birthday.

Ethan requested Rice Crispy Treats for his dessert.  Amy turned it into a treat that looks like a cake.

Later in the day we watched sessions of the LDS General Conference.
We had a great day.
