The Bassham Blog

I went to the OB today and she said everything is looking good! My blood pressure is good and Rhett's heartbeat is really strong. I'm measuring about a week bigger than normal, which may mean he's born before November 7th (not a big surprise). I go back in two weeks for a sonogram, which will help confirm how big the baby is getting. It's all so exciting!

Well, I decided to join to electronic world and create a blog for our blooming family. Maybe this way, I won't feel bad when I don't get around to scrapbooking my baby's life events. :)

I'm officially in my 3rd trimester, and I can't believe it has gone by so fast! I'm feeling really good and I've managed to survive the majority of this Texas summer intact. We've picked out the baby's name, which will be Rhett Donald Bassham. It wasn't easy since my husband and I don't normally agree on names, but the moment he suggested Rhett, I was sold. Donald is a big family name on Donnie's side (obviously), so we were able to honor several relatives at once.

We're in the process of putting his nursery together, and I can't wait until it's done! The bedding arrives this week and his crib furniture should finally be ready to order (the world stopped making his furniture the moment we were ready to order). The next step will be painting the walls and filling the room with fun toys. I'll post pics once it's done!
