DC Inspired by Nat: signature style

Another Friday. Another Daring Cardmaker's challenge.

This week Lythan would like you to take a trip into a world of pure gorgeousness by visiting the blog of my lovely teamie Nat and getting inspired by her style. I have been a huge fan of Nat's since I started card making and I have seen her work evolve but it has always been current, stylish, clean but not simple and with a wonderful way with a focal point. Well that is my interpretation - I look forward to seeing what you take from Nat's signature style.

I really like Nat’s cards. To me Nat's style is about colours, a structured layout, PP, die cuts and some kind of dimension.

I tried to incorporate this into my card.

And I like it so much that I made some more cards.

DC Swings and Roundabouts

Kathy hosts this week’s challenge at the Daring Cardmakers blog.

I love having something that adds a little bit of a moving element to my cards - something suspended in an aperture so that it swings or twirls in the hole, or some charms or beads that bounce around on a thread or ribbon....or maybe the whole card rocks from side to side - a bit of movement makes a card so much more interesting, don't you think? So I've called my challenge

"Swings and Roundabouts"

and I'd like to see a "swinging", "twirling" or "rocking" element on your card this week.....and to go with the title, if you can also add a circle (for the "roundabout), then you can claim a Virtual Gold Star (sorry. they're only "virtual", hehe) and you can give yourself a pat on the back for being a real Smartypants!

Kathy even made two lovely cards for the challenge.

Here’s my card with a swinging butterfly. I love what the other design team members created and I’m motivated to make a rocking card etc. soon. It has been a while that I made shaped cards.

DC The Great Daring Cardmakers Bake Off

It’s Friday again. And it’s Dawn’s turn to set this week’s challenge for the Daring Cardmakers.

Everybody knows how much I love CUPCAKES!!! I love baking, eating, buying anything with a cupcake on and of course crafting with them. So for this weeks dare I would love to see something baking related on your card.

My dare is called:

The Great Daring Cardmakers Bake Off

Also its Mothers Day on Sunday so perhaps this card could be for your Mum or Grandmother. I would also like to wish all Mums a Happy Mothers Day!!

Don’t panic. It’s only the British Mothers Day … you have a few more weeks left to make a card and bake a cake if you live somewhere else in Europe =).

I love baking as well. And I tried to make my first trifold card.

DC Elemental inspiration March

Nat picked this month’s picture for the Daring Cardmaker's Elemental inspiration.

I picked the following elements to use on my card: confetti, flower, bakers twine and the colours (which are more or less the same).

Nat hat dieses Mal das Bild ausgesucht, von dem ihr euch inspirieren lassen sollt. Seit Anfang des Jahres starten die Daring Cardmakers jeden ersten Freitag des Monats mit dieser Art von Herausforderung.

Ich liebe Nats Bild und habe mir folgende Elemente für meine eigene Karte herausgepickt: Konfetti, Bakers Twine, eine Blume und viele verschiedene leuchtende Farben.
