A few weeks back we went down to the cities for a urology appointment for Elliot. Short version of the story is that he is doing great! His kidneys are retaining just a bit of fluid but much improved over our last visit in March. With the appointment going so well and the fact that we didn't have to drive down in a blizzard, we felt like we could do something fun afterwards and enjoy some family time. We decided to head over to Como Zoo for a quick tour. I lived just a couple of blocks away from the zoo for a little while and it became a favorite spot of mine to go for walks. It was a bit chilly but great to be outside and stretch our legs after sitting in waiting rooms and cars.
Right after this picture the gorilla got up and starting beating at the glass, sort of freaky but really fun! We timed the trip perfectly, right during feeding time so a lot of the animals were up and moving more than usual
I finally got tired of Elliot's little wispy long hairs that float down to his eyes
and let Bryce give him his first haircut.
He was a great helper with the tools!
"Watcha doing up there?"
Elliot seemed happy with the results. Mom is a little sad that he seems so grown up though!
